"You are so precious to me my love," Daniel pushes a black curly lock behind my ear and I shiver at the electrocuting touch of his hand to my face.

"Daniel," I moan softly and his hand goes to my lips and his thumb starts to caress my bottom lip as I pout.

"I love you April," he says and my heart melts at his voice.

"I love you Daniel," and the emotions that radiates from us are so real that it almost makes me cry. He leans in to kiss me and I pucker my lips ready for our lips to connect.

I wake up to the sunlight and I huff at the emptiness I feel. I spread my arms and legs out until I stop and I realize that I am in my bed in my room. I jump out of the bed not caring how I look and run out to the doctor's chambers.

I open the door and see the empty bed and I almost fall to my knees with fear. Was everything a dream, was none of it real. My wolf whimpers inside of me and a nurse comes in and looks at me.

"He is in your father's office," she reads my mind before I can even ask. I give her a quick 'thank you' and make my way down to my dad's office. When I get to the doors that open up to his work area I don't hesitate to bust the doors open.

When I come in I see Mateo and Maximus standing on both sides of my father as he sits in the middle in his grand chair. In front of my father's desks sits George and his father, Alpha Gabriel, who is the leader of the Red Blood pack. I sniff for the vanilla and spice smell that is currently burning my nose and whip my body around to see Daniel sitting in the corner with his head bowed.

When he feels my presence he looks up at me and my heart jumps at his beautiful face. All the emotions come back and I walk over to him and get into his lap burying my face into his neck to get a better smell of him. He moans softly when I kiss his neck. I know he felt the electric current flow between us.

"April, you need to leave," I hear my father say. I sadly pull away from Daniel's neck with a pout on my lips and he grins at me. I turn my torso to look at the men behind us and all of them except for my father and Mateo are sending us daggers with their eyes.

"Why?" I ask innocently.

"Because your mate is on trial?"my father calmly says. My eyebrows go up and I look back at Daniel who has a tired and restless face. I run my fingers from his temple to his jaw and his eyes roll back in pleasure.

"Why is he on trial?" I ask looking back toward the others. They stare at me and my every motion with Daniel which is kind of creepy.

"It is none of your business, now leave," Maximus commands with that same attitude he had earlier and I feel my blood pressure rising. Daniel puts one hand on my hip and massages the area and my blood pressure comes down.

"It is my business he is my mate," I snap at him. George shoots even harsher daggers at me through his eyes, but I just ignore him.

"Okay April since you want to stay then stay," my father says to me and I nod. "Okay men so why do you want him back so badly?" my father questions. I listen intently to know the answer also.

"His family is a disgrace to the pack and they have done some... criminal activities to the pack that has harmed us, they must serve for a century before their sentence is over with," Alpha Gabriel tries to say as low as possible so that I cannot hear him.

"What did his family do?" Mateo asks and looks at me and I turn quickly to Daniel and pull his face close to mine and run my nose in his hair and down to his neck. Daniel mouths the words, 'You are so beautiful,' to me and I almost fall out of the chair.

"I rather not discuss those things in front of your daughter," Alpha Gabriel explains and I roll my eyes.

"Go ahead and say it, I won't get scared," I tell them and they all glare at me. I turn back to Daniel who stares warily at me.

"You should leave April," he mutters softly to me, but I shake my head. I lean into him and shake because I am scared to leave him. "April please it will only be for a little bit," he says into my ear and when I look into his eyes that are pleading with me to go.

"Fine," I huff and stand up to go, "but I will be back in five minutes," I look at Daniel only as I leave and he nods and mouths, 'Thank you,' to me. I slowly close the door and fall against the wall that is on the other side of it.

What's so bad that Daniel does not want me to hear about him? I wonder and wait for the five minutes to go by.
