"I heard you were daydreaming in first period," Tiana says slipping right next to me as I walk to my locker.

"Who told you that?" I ask not liking that someone is reporting about me to whoever.

"George." Tiana says simply and I roll my eyes. When we get to my locker, I switch out some of my books and suddenly a sweet vanilla and spice hits my nose and I whip around frantically looking for the cause of it.

"What?" Tiana asks concerned. I don't find anyone and my heart is racing.

'Mate!' my inner wolf exclaims. Before I realize it the smell and the feel leave and I am left cold. I wrap my arms around me and I close my eyes, turning around I open my eyes to see Tiana like she is amazed.

"Did you just- "

"Shh," I shut her up and she slams my locker shut and drags me to the girl's bathroom. When we get in there and she squeals while grabbing my hands and jumping like a maniac. I stare at her and wait until she is done with her little party.

"Oh my god! Do you know him? How does he look? Is he hot?" she continues to throw questions at me and I slap a hand across her mouth.

"No, I have not seen him," I tell her and that answers all her questions all at once. I sigh leaning against the sink.

"Oh, that sucks," she frowns at that and leans on the sink with me and wraps an arm around my shoulder. "Hey you might see him at the party," she suggests and my heart jumps at the thought.

"Yay, I might," I had totally forgotten about the party. After talking about a bunch of other stuff some girls come in and we decide to head to the cafeteria. We walk in and see many people at our usual table.

"Happy birthday April!" Ikea a girl from another pack gives me a hug and pulls me off of the ground. You might remember her from when Tiana was talking about how she was trying to get with George but now that I know George is officially not my mate, she can have at him.

"Uh, thanks Ikea," after she puts me back on the ground, I sit into my seat at the table which is the middle and Tiana sits next to me.

"So, have you smelled your mate?" Ikea asks loud enough so that everyone can look at me. George and his pals turn wanting to hear what I had to say and I want to rip Ikea's head off for bringing the subject up.

"It is none of your business Ikea," Tiana cuts into the conversation before I said anything and I have a feel of gratitude towards her. Ikea rolls her eyes and turns to her friends who begin to gossip about whatever. I look at Tiana and mentally thank her and she nods. 

...

After lunch there is PE. I mentally sob because one: I hate PE and two: I can smell my mate and I cannot get to him because he is in the boy's locker room. Tiana can see that I am struggling and rubs my back trying to soothe the pain.

"I think he is scared of me," I tell her feeling so hurt that my mate is avoiding me when I know he feels what I am feeling.

"You don't know that, maybe he has a disease that he does not want to pass to you," Tiana whispers to me and I stare at her like she is crazy. I am about to say something back but am cut off by the female trainer.

"Come on ladies! I need 2 laps and then meet me at the ring!" I sigh miserably knowing what we are going to do. We go outside and start to run around the track. I am already tired by the halfway point of the first lap and Tiana laughs at me.

Finally, when we finish, we walk back towards the ring which is inside. The boys start to come out of the locker room. The vanilla and spice smell is now burning my nose and my wolf is clawing to go to my mate. But the trainer is waiting for us by the door and if I take a detour to find my mate, she will make me work even harder.

I choose to walk in even though my heart is breaking apart. We go deeper inside the building into to a darker room that has a fighting ring in the middle and lights shine bright over it. My stomach hurts at the sight and I almost ask to go to the nurse but remember that the female trainer will not let me go.

"So today we will be using the skills that we have previously learned for the past few weeks and start using it on one another," she tells us how two girls at a time will go in and literally beat each other to death. Well not to death but until one of the girls tap out but to me that sounds like death. Then afterwards two new girls will go in and fight and the cycle goes on and on.

"Miss April since it is your birthday today then I will not have you fight," a burst of happiness goes through me and feel all the girls glaring at me because they know it is only because my father is an Alpha.

"Anyway, so does anyone want to volunteer?" she asks and no one says anything. The female trainer says something under her breath, "Fine then give me Ikea and Tiana," I turn to Tiana and she smiles at me.

"Gladly," Tiana mutters to me and I suddenly feel bad for Ikea.
