"Daniel do you believe what Maximus said to you is true?" I ask and I feel his body freeze. He grits his teeth and looks down in the water. 

"April, please," he whispers. 

"No, I saw what you were thinking of when I woke up from my coma, I don't know how, but I saw it, and we need to talk about it," I say. He pulls his arms away from me and crosses them. 

"I don't know," he finally says after a minute. 

"You have to know."

"I don't know, you aren't the most predictable person." 

"What does that even mean," I grunt. 

"Like this whole situation," he shakes his head and runs his hand through his hair. 

"If anything I would have thought you would have rejected me because of who you are and who your family is. But you have made efforts to protect me even though you can't protect your own self. You do things that I never would have thought you could do, but there is some doubt when I think of what I am capable of. If you ever saw me like that, I believe that you would run away from me, but then again I don't know," he sighs when he is done. 

It is my turn to wrap my arms around him and I press my head against his chest. After that dream, I don't know what to think of myself anymore. I just pray that if I ever come to a situation like that, I know what to do. 

...

Daniel and I walk into the Survivor pack's mess hall. We hold each other's hand and go to grab some breakfast. Once we have our food we look for a table to sit at. 

"Come over here," we see Damien waving his arms back and forth at a table in the back. Mia sits next to him rolling her eyes. We go to them and take our seats. 

"Long time no see," Damien smiles and I give him a closed mouth smile. We eat in silence at the table until a guy with silver hair comes up to us.

"Alpha Janice would like to see you," is all he says while looking at Daniel. I look at my mate who sits his food down and starts to get up from the table. 

"Do you want me to come?" I ask in a small voice. 

"No, she wants to discuss some things with me," he cringes at his words. He kisses me on the top of my head and leaves. I watch as he heads out of the mess hall. 

I quickly feel as though I am all alone and I have the urge to not eat anymore. 

"Mia told me about this party that they are having later if you would like to come," Damien says out of the blue while I play with my breakfast. 

"I don't  want get shot if I go," I mutter and I know I am being petty, but this Mia girl does not have to deal with blistering hot pains in her shoulder. 

"I'm sorry damn, I misunderstood the situation," Mia throws her hands up annoyed at me. I roll my eyes and stand up to throw my food away and leave when Damien grabs my hand to stop me. 

"Please come to the party, after everything you and Daniel have been through, you should at least have some fun" he says while looking into my eyes. Mia growls in the background, but we ignore her and Damien lets go of my hand. 

"I'll think about it," I tell him and give him a smile. I throw my food away and head for the exit.

...

I flip through a book that I found in the cabin that me and Daniel are staying in. I must be super bored because I hate reading with a passion, but at this point there is nothing else to do.   

Maybe I could go out to the party that Damien invited me too, but in a way I don't feel comfortable going without Daniel. I know that if Tiana was here she would already have me out the door heading to the party. 

I smile at the thought of my best friend. I wonder what she is doing. Does she think about me? Did she know that when I was in the school hallways looking for Daniel that, that would be our last time seeing each other? Her birthday is coming up soon. Who will her mate be? Will he be dangerous like my mate or will he be a normal werewolf. 

I think about all of these things concerning my best friend and then my thoughts take a turn to what I had dreamt of last night and a shiver goes throughout my body. 

"Come on loser," soft material is thrown into my face and I take it off to see Mia with a hand on her hip. "I don't want to hear Damien complaining about you staying here by yourself."

"Thanks, but no thanks," I give her the dress that she threw at my face back. 

"Am I going to have to do this the easy way or the hard way," she sighs. 

"The hard way, I guess," I lay flat on my back on the bed and yawn. 

"Uh."

...

"You know, you are really strong," I mutter as Mia carries me across her shoulder. 

"Maybe if you would workout and train then you would be strong too," Mia grunts and I purse my lips. 

"I do workout and train...maybe not as much, but still," I protest. 

"Yeah sure, you can't fool me 'Alpha Raymond's Daughter,'" she mocks me and I make sure to let my self go so that I feel much heavier. 

"Uh you bitch!" she exclaims and I giggle.
