alysia's pov

"what if he doesn't like me?" i asked worriedly as we stood outside of mateo's apartment door.

"trust me, baby, he'll like you." billie reassured, giving my hand a comforting squeeze.

i let out a breath. "you're right." i mumbled. "i've got nothing to be worried about."

she laughed as she used her free hand to knock on the door. "you're precious." i leaned my head on her shoulder, hiding my blush from her.

the door opened to reveal mateo, who smiled down at us. "hi!" he looked at me and held an arm out for a side hug, which i stepped into. "it's nice to finally meet you."

"ditto." i replied with a smile.

"there you go with that word again!" billie said. "i forgot what that shit means."

mateo patted her head with a smirk plastered on his face. "it's okay, bil. just blame it on you being homeschooled."

she balled her fist up and punched his shoulder. "you're such an asshole." she grumbled.

"you love me." he grinned.

"whatever helps you sleep at night, teo."

he shook his head playfully before stepping aside. "anyways, come on inside."

we walked inside and followed him to his living room, sitting on the couch, while he sat in a recliner. "so you excited for tour, billie?" he asked.

she nodded. "extremely! the first show is tomorrow so we gotta leave in a few hours, but i can't wait, dude!"

"aren't you the photographer, alysia?" mateo questioned.

i smiled. "yessir."

we continued talking for a while. mateo is hilarious and we actually get along really well. but eventually, we had to go and meet with finneas at the airport to head to auckland, new zealand.

"don't forget me." teo teased as we was heading out.

"don't be stupid," billie said as she gave him a hug. "i could never forget you."

he smiled and ruffled her hair, which caused her to send him a glare and push his hand away. "love ya."

"love you too." she grumbled playfully.

he turned to me and wrapped me into a hug. "take care, you two."

"we will." i smiled.

billie looked at her watch. "shit fuck! we need to leave like... now!"

"oop." i mumbled. "well, it was nice meeting you."

"same. see you guys soon."

"see ya."
