alysia's pov

"bro it's your turn to fix dinner." i glared.

"no it's not! i cooked it last night!" tyler defended.

"no you didn't! i did! i've got messages to prove it!"

"show me them, then." tyler said, crossing his arms.

i pulled my phone out from my pocket, opening my messages with billie, and practically shoving my phone in tyler's face so that he could read it.

.

iMessages

.

i raised an eyebrow at tyler as he finished reading the texts messages, smirking as he let out a sigh of defeat. "i could've sworn i cooked last night, though." he whined.

"obviously not."

he sighed again, running a hand through his slightly curly hair. "shut up, nerd."

"i'm not a nerd." i glared.

"whatever." he chuckled. "anyways, you and billie seem close, with you calling her baby and her calling you mama." he raised an eyebrow. "are you two dating?"

"i wish." i muttered, my hand going up to cover my mouth, and my eyes going wide, after saying that. i hadn't told anybody that, let alone admit it to myself. there's no way i'd fallen for my bestfriend... right?

"i knew it." tyler smirked, nodding his head.

my cheeks flushed and i pulled my hood of my hoodie over my head, tightening the drawstrings around my face so that the only thing visible was my nose. "i didn't say that."

he laughed loudly. "it's okay to like her, 'lys."

i frowned at the nickname, though i knew he couldn't see it. "you know i don't like that nickname."

"and that's exactly why i say it."

"i hate you very much."

"love you too." he laughed.

i un-tightened the drawstrings of my hood slightly so that i could see. "hurry up and cook dinner, loser. i'm very hungry." i demanded, my stomach growling on cue.

he chuckled. "okay okay. go text your girlfriend."

i flipped him off as i exited the kitchen. "she's not my girlfriend."
