He was lonely.

He'd thought it'd get better as he continued to gain followers. He'd thought it get better when he signed to the modeling agency. He'd thought it'd get better when he moved to LA. He'd thought it'd get better as he made new friends.

It hadn't.

Maybe it was his fault. Maybe it'd get better if he had a girlfriend. Maybe not having one of those was his fault too.

Everything was his fault.

Why couldn't he be happy? He was in LA, living the life he had always dreamed of, with millions of girls fawning over his every tiktok. He wished he could appreciate everything more. To be unhappy with all that he had was to be ungrateful. And only stupid pricks that no one liked were ungrateful.

He hated himself.

Vinnie pulled himself up out of his messy bed and made his way into the bathroom. He stared at his reflection, scrutinizing every inch of his body and face. The girls loved it. But why couldn't he? Usually, he'd pull out his phone and take a few photos for his instagram, or record a tiktok. Today, he couldn't bring himself to do it. The person in the mirror didn't deserve to have a photo taken of him. The person in the mirror didn't deserve to be loved by millions of people. The person in the mirror couldn't even get a girlfriend. The person in the mirror didn't deserve to be alive.

Disgust and hatred rose inside of him and he turned away with a groan.

No one could ever love him.
