Well hello there๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

As long awaited, Too Many Broken Things is officially here, and if you are present, on this page, reading this right now, put your hand on your forehead and say, "I am a spec!" Then add 'nnor' with Igbo accent, and kiss your fingers into the air!!!

Lmaoooo. I'm so grateful you're here to be honest, it means a lot to me. I just.. I... *sniff and blows out confetti from nose*

Okay, so! I have to warn you, you all are in for a ride with this book! I'm actually a bit nervous tbh, a bit anxious to know how you will see this book, but we go run am.

Before I say anything else...

PLEASE NOTE;

This is not a sequel to Those Little Things. It is just a spin-off.

I want to make it clear to everyone that 'Too Many Broken Things' is in the very same timeline with my other book 'Those Little Things'.

What do I mean by this?
I mean that TMBT is still about their final year of secondary school in Castron High. So, yes, people, we are going back in time, so tighten your seatbelts! We are moving back to the set of Giwa Falade and co in the last year of Secondary School (SS3).

However, this time, our focus is not on the life of Giwa and the others, but rather, it focuses on the life of some of their other classmates who also happened to be in the same set with Giwa dem. You must have heard their names before (if you read TLT)

So, since they all are all in the same set, some things will be reoccurring... Like Yure's party, for example. (Since that was a general occasion). Ofcourse, you will also hear names like 'Giwa Falade' and 'Ivandor Fejaun', but note, please, this is NOT their story!

Infact, to be honest with you, they are very very minor characters here. If you remember, in TLT, names like 'Aaron and Casper' were frequent, yet we knew nothing deep about them, because they were barely just minor characters. The same thing applies here, you will hear them all; Giwa, Ivandor, Yure, Prissy, Shade... Characters like Nova and Krisdana may even be more frequent than the others, but this is NOT their story. TMBT and TLT only just occured in the same timeline. Understood?

Okay, now that is cleared up..

'Too many Broken Things' is solely going to show the struggles of broken teenagers who fight to have peace for themselves, even in a situation when things around them do not necessarily get better. It will show you the importance of keeping the right people around you in times like this, surrounding yourself with only positive energy. It will teach you the beauty of good friendship. Teach you self love. Teach you about surviving even when Life is being a total bitch.

So what? Life isn't a bed of roses. If we are going to go through the ups and downs, we definitely cannot do it alone. However, as important as it is to keep the right people around you.... That may not be a permanent solution to your problems. Sometimes, the best person you need to love you the most..... is yourself.

This book will have a sequel.

Now, please take note of the following things;

1) Do not plagiarize this book or any book of mine. I will press charges. You will go to jail. I'm serious as fuck.

2)My female lead won't be... Usual. You will be seeing attributes of violence, intense paranoia (she gets unnecessarily scared of everything and everyone), impulsive behavior, repeated speech or thoughts, and so many other attributes you will get to see from her. Don't judge her.โค๏ธ

2b) Do not judge me by my characters. I have a very wide imagination and my mind wanders too far and cooks up individuals that will make you scream, break a bottle and probably shatter your phone.... (Sorry)... But they aren't like me. At all. And, if you're going to think that way, you will think I have multiple personality disorder, because all my characters are going to be very distinct and different, in both good and bad ways.

3) This book may be more graphic than my first. Will contain a lot of swear words. Detailed fight scenes. Topics of depression, suicide, drugs, and typically all the bullshit teenagers are up to these days, yeah. Hope no yawa?

However, as dark as the female lead's life may be, there's a LOT of comic relief from all the characters, so you'll probably split a rib or two, laughing.

4) Unlike TLT, we'll only be working with two POVs. TLT was based on seeing things from other point of view, and this book isn't centred on that.

5) If you want to use my characters in your book, please ask permission first. My DM is always open.

I think we're all clear here. Thank you for coming here. I, hereby, grant you permission to read on!!

P.S; I hope you enjoy this book, fam.โค๏ธ
