HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WENDY!!!!!!!Β @Opurum πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

GUYSSSS, THIS UPDATE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO COME TODAY OO, I JUST HAD TO BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE WENDY HAPPPYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

Why.... Am I shouting...? πŸ™‚

Oya oya, song for this chapter is 7 rings by Ariana Grande.

Maybe if you thoroughly listen to the song, you may find out new things about the twins cause every lyric of that song defines them.... And some of their secrets too. (I said too much...)

Okay, enjoy the chapter, guysssss!!!❀️❀️❀️

~DABI~

The Onuoha twins reminded me of the song, 7 rings by Ariana Grande.

How did I know the song? Well, when it recently got released, these girls couldn't stop throwing it in all the other sister's faces that Ariana Grande wrote the song just for them.

We stopped trying to convince them that Ariana doesn't even know of their existence.

However, after hearing that song one too many times, I came to the conclusion that indeed, that song did define them so much. Too much.

I had never seen any set of humans in my life who so easily did anything, and I mean ANYTHING they wanted to do..... just because they could. Just because they felt like. Just because they wanted to. And without even giving a damn about the consequences. Or critics. Or anyone who had anything to say about their shit.

The Confidence.

Something told me the twins saw themselves as some sort of exotic goddesses. Flawless. Beautiful beyond words. Stylish. Mesmerizing. Literally everything that was perfection.

And in a way.... They were right.

And they knew that.

They said it so much and even psychologically manipulated everyone else around them into seeing it that way too. Into believing it. They knew just how to get anyone to believe what they wanted them to believe. They knew what to say to get anyone to do whatever they wanted. Their way was always the right way... they knew so.Β

Their way was always the right way....

Figures. That's why they did anything they wanted...

With the confidence that it would go however they pleased... however they wanted..

Such confidence...Β God, that damn confidence these girls had.

The twins wanted to go nude on their joint Instagram pages? They went ahead. Of course, not forgetting to shout out their haters and throw in a big 'fuck you' to anyone who had a problem with it. "It's my body," they'd say, "Who will beat us?"

They wanted to flirt with someone's boyfriend? They went ahead. "I wanted him too," they'd say, "So why not go after him?"

They wanted to spend a ridiculous amount of thousands on just a pair of shoes? They went ahead. "It's their money after all," They said, "They had the money, so why not do whatever they wanted?"

And hell, if they didn't like a bitch, they'd easily go right ahead and slap the attitude out of her. "She didn't say anything," They'd say, "WeΒ didn't just like the way she was looking at us, so I felt she needed to be smacked."

These girls were... unusual.

And in a way that couldn't just particularly make sense to me, they always seemed to have things go their way.

They did what they wanted and got what they wanted. Be it mere satisfaction. Or even material things like jewellery, money, expensive outfits... Or even the man of your dreams. And they would do this so unapologetically... literally not giving a single damn.

Needless to say, maybe that was why about a 90% of the girls in our set absolutely hated the Onuoha Twins. Loathed them, even. Yet, funny enough, would do anything to get them to be the least bit nice to them.

Sadly, these girls, Ebere and Ebube didn't know what being nice to a person was all about.

Ironically, in the strangest way, they were one of the most loyal people you may ever have to meet in your lifetime.

"Sisters, I'm done drawing the twinzzzzzz!!!"Β Soma sang into the peace of the class, waving her drawing book and HB pencil in the air and alerting us to her little piece.

Chika who was partly in a little conversation with some few guys present in the class, sitting on Soma's desk, smoothly turned back towards the girl, craned her neck to look. "Well, let's see what you have there."

One look directly on Chika again and I was reminded of that bruise on her face.

"Ohhhh, that's so pretty," Chika was the first one to pass a compliment.

I smiled at the portrait of the twins that was too perfect to be done by an ordinary seventeen year old secondary school girl.

"It's almost as gorgeous as us," Ebere commented, smiled in approval at Soma's work.

"Almost," Ebube seconded, scanned the piece in approval as well, "Good job, Soso."

Soma squealed, excited, jumped and bounced around on her seat, and even the twins couldn't help but smile at her reaction, and when they went into a whole ass conversation concerning Soma's drawing of the twins, I tuned them out.

Chika's laugh resonated beautifully round the entire class at something that Ebube had said, and when I snapped back to earth and looked at the girl, I saw her nudged Soma, a playful smirk on her face. "Babe, how far na, when will you draw me, when we go discuss am na?"

"Remind me later, Chi Mama," Soma blushed. "Right now, I'm still trying to settle with the whole Programming thing. It's a lot harder to learn than I thought it was."

The twins did a double take.

Last week she did a random switch from Writing and Tiktok to Learning Calligraphy. Of course, we won't put aside the fact that she braised her own hair... and now....

"Somadina, you're learning to programme?!" Ebere exclaimed, literally speaking my mind.

"Babes can do whatever she wants jhare," Chika cut into the conversation. "We need more female computer wizards in our generation if you ask me."

Soma nodded vigorously in agreement to Chika.

"I mean, we're in a class for Engineering and Business students, and we aren't up to ten Engineering girls. It's almost like the course is some kind of dreadful course for girls or something," Chika was saying.

"It's almost like there's this unspoken law that girls cannot be Engineers. People say it's just weird," Soma chipped in, air quoting.

"Does that bother you any of you, considering you're Engineering students?" Chika threw the question.

"Oh hell fucking no." The twins chorused at the same time, frowning at the question.

Β "Exactly!" Soma agreed, "I know why I want to be an Software Engineer. Everyone would have wanted me to be an Arts Student because I draw so well, but hey, even if I'm an artist, what's the big crime in not only wanting to just draw animations, but also bring these my animations to life myself?"

"Preach, bitch!" Ebube urged Soma on.

"Sisters, having access to Technology is like a mega super power on it's own," Soma flipped her long braids, pouting and poising in mock pride.

"Of course, it is," Ebere said, "And learning it on your own is an even bigger superpower, Soma."

"But why are we even surprised?" Ebube asked her twin, "It's Somadina Best we're talking about. The one girl who can practically learn any trade or skill in the world without having any form of tutorial lessons whatsoever."

Soma turned into an embarrassing shade of red. "Actually, I'm not learning to programme myself." She rubbed on her neck, blushing and turning an even deeper shade of red and Chika nearly fell of the table she was sitting on. "Someone's teaching me."

I blinked at her. This was new.

"What do you mean?" Ebere frowned.

Soma started blushing so hard, it was ridiculous.

It was a boy.

"Somadina, what is it!" Ebere nearly screamed, eyes wide in excitement and anticipation as she stared at the girl.

"Stop, I'm shy naw," Soma giggled like a three year old, covering her face in embarrassment.

I didn't even need an angel to confirm that this was all about a boy.

"Noble?" I spoke up for the first time, suggesting the name I felt belonged to the boy who was apparently driving my friend crazy.

Soma turned her head so fast to me, her braids slapped my eyes and I winced slightly. "What the-- HOW DO YOU EVEN--"

The twins ran mad.

"WHAT THE FUCK! SOMA, DID YOU GET BACK TOGETHER WITH NOBLE?!" They were screaming at the girl, the shock apparently being so hard to keep under control.

"You guys should stop shouting, naw, let people not hear you!" Soma kept laughing and pleading with them, embarrassed as shit.

"How did that even happen? I thought you both broke up after he graduated?" Chika inquired.

True. I didn't keep tabs on Soma's relationship with this boy, but what I did know was that Soma and Noble dated from our SS1, up until Noble graduated from Castron High. Roughly two years.

Noble Igwe was always one class ahead of us, and when he was in Castron High, he was the male Social Prefect. He was also Soma's boyfriend who adored her to a fault, and because of him, Soma had easily secured her post of the Utility Prefect.

Apparently, Soma was the only girl in our clique that he or his ever friends talked to. In fact, if I was being honest, he and his friends were so obsessed with Soma that it was almost disturbing. Noble Igwe had a brother in our set, and with the way he favoured Soma, you'd actually think he loved her more than he loved his own brother....... Well, who knows?

Well, Chika had never really a fan of Noble, or as she liked to summarize him and his entire friend group as 'Jimmy dem geng'.Β  All in all, for Soma's sake, she didn't have a chance than to just stan the two.

"He texted me and told me he still had feelings, that since he had travelled to China for school, he can't stop thinking about me," Soma told us.

That boy was... obsessed.

"And I also felt the same way sooo...." Her left hand, theΒ scarred hand was moving effortlessly on the paper of her drawing book as she started to add a bit more shade and tint to the portrait of the twins she showed us, as she talked.

"We kinda got back together." She finished her story, still tampering with her portrait.

"Long distance relationship." Chika wasn't asking a question. Arms folded and watched Soma scribbling on the portrait.

We weren't sure how to comment on that.

Soma didn't look back up at us, innocently moving pencil on paper, shading on her drawing. "Yup!"

We were silent for a while. Awkward.

I wasn't sure she noticed, because a sharp grin appeared on her face as she lifted up the final version of her portrait to admire it, proudly.

"Now, that's more like it," she spoke to her portrait of thr twins, completely oblivious to her environment.

I was about to say something, but I got distracted by the 'edited version' of that portrait of the twins, and actually marvelled at the level of... Accuracy.

Every conversation from there was tuned out of my head as I watched Soma's drawing of the twins with a new found interest. It was so detailed, so accurate... it nearly scared me.

And Soma literally didn't do much to the drawing. She just made slight changes in Ebube's eyes that made her appear a bit different from Ebere .. but then not so different, at the same time.

I don't know Soma did it. Ebube's eyes seemed easier to see through, but then, not so easy to see through. Ebube's eyes looked just a tad bit more vulnerable... More sensitive... More.... Insecure..?

It hit me like a truck. Legit felt like Soma's drawing spoke to me, and I was somehow able to understand it all to an extent.

For the first time ever, I was able to look deeper and throughly analyse the twins, and things made more sense.

I watched how they sat. The twins. I watched how they sat.

Ebere sat with poise, held her head high, legs crossed, confidence and pride and sass oozing off her. Even when she talked, there was an intimidating aura all around her, suffocating all the air that circled her being.

Ebube? She also sat with poise. Also held her head high, legs crossed, confidence, pride and sass all around her as well....

But I could detect something else.

While Ebere sat so upright, spine straight, never faltering for a second....

Ebube slouched just a little. It was almost unnoticeable... but I saw it. Her back hunched over just a little, disqualifying that confidence she was trying to feign in that position she copied from her sister.

She also talked less, always agreed with what Ebere said. Almost like she didn't have an opinion of her own.... Woah.

I also noticed our uniforms.

It was Chika who influenced us to all have the same look for school.

Usually, the CH uniform was sangria red and white, basically - White shirt (short sleeves for girls, long sleeves for boys) and red flare skirts for girls and red trousers for Boys. The school's blazers were optional, but girls had to wear a bow tie, while the boys had to wear their regularly long time, and that was compulsory.

However, Chika fancied the regular tie fashion more so since she was in junior school, she claimed it looked better. So, she wore that instead, got punished a lot by seniors for it, but never particularly stopped.

So, well, 'show me your friend, and I'll tell you who you are', somehow, we all started wearing the regular ties, as well. While I had on a regular one like Chika, Soka preferred a shorter cuter tie that reminded her of a chiwawa's tail, and the twins.... Well, with Soma's help, they were able toΒ  form their bandanas to actually look like a tie.

Ebere's supposed tie was more perfectly knotted than Ebube's.

In fact, it almost seemed like everything about Ebere was a tad bit more perfect than her sister. Her brows, her make up, her hair.... I had never looked at it this way before.

It was unnoticeable. Ebube seemed to be copying her sister so much that indeed they seemed like the same.... When they weren't exactly.

It almost seemed like Ebube was trying so hard to be Ebere. Maybe that's why it always seemed like Ebere was the more controlling twin and all Ebube did was... Second.

Ebere would talk her sister into skipping class of staying away from assembly, and she'd easily agree. She'd have an opinion and Ebube wouldn't argue. Soma had told me that when they were kids, Ebere was even the one who talked her sister into venturing into the field to explore their athleticism.

Granted, they were iconic. The twins came to Castron High in Jss3, and didn't waste time getting all the popularity 'cause of track. Everyone couldn't get over their talent, their impeccable speed, agility and endurance on the track. These girls were cheetahs.

But facts still remained.... Ebube may have never wanted this. Or did she?

There was something not right about Ebube.

I couldn't particular explain how, but looking at them right now, watching them, there was a brooding, darker, deadly, almost maniac aura that suddenly hovered around her. Like her mind was the scariest place to be in right her... Like you wouldn't get out alive, if you got in.

One thing was certain; Something was off about Ebube Onuoha.

I snapped out of my reverie when someone called my name in the middle of their conversation.

Turns out Chika was only asking the twins and I what caused all the silence in the hallway earlier and I was about to risk myself a heart attack.

"Kaniru and those idiots." Ebere was the one who answered.

I was surprised she knew. With how both girls reacted like nothing happened when those boys walked in and silenced the entire hallway, it was almost impossible to imagine that they had actually noticed something was wrong.

I noticed Soma's reaction the second Kaniru's name was mentioned. It was like she was literally taken off guard by it, would have come down with a stroke if she didn't control herself.

However, the shock and fear I saw in her didn't last for the next second. I almost thought I imagined it.

"They're all mad about what Giwa Falade did to his sister this morning," Ebere elaborated.

What did Giwa do...?

"God knows what those boys have in mind," Ebere rolled her eyes, shook her head.

Chika scoffed in irritation.

"Oh, please they won't do shit," the irritation was so evident on her face. "So wait oo, because of them, the hallway was that quiet?!"

"Apparently," Ebere responded basically.

"Oh, God!" Chika nearly ripped out her own hair. "This set places unnecessary significance and fear over people who just aren't it!"

"As much as I don't give a shit about those boys..." Ebere looked at Chika, "There are quite a number of reasons why the set is terrified of them."

"Seconded," Ebube took over. "Remember one of them-"

"Affah." Ebere reminded her.

"Yes, Affah," Ebube continued, "Affah was the one who landed Daniel in the hospital after a fight broke out between them in the boys locker room."

I heard. That happened last year... and till now, Daniel has a limp in his walk because of the damage to his hip and right leg, and rumours had it that he was damaged so badly that he had an iron rod in that part of his body, supporting his movement... Hence the limp.

"Let's not even get started on the horrible things Kaniru himself has done to other people." Ebere said.

I still didn't understand why these girls acted like nothing happened when these boys walked into the hallway, when they were this knowledgeable of all their attrocities.

I could never understand these twins.

"If that's an attempt to get me to be the least bit scared of those boys..." Chika actually sort of laughed. "Then, you failed miserably."

Soma on the other hand, looked like she had seen a ghost. She was horrified.

"No matter how you put it, I can't just get the basis of all the fear," Chika was saying. "I take down men who are twice, three times my size, I'm pretty sure I can handle a bunch of misguided, seventeen year old secondary school 'boys'."

Ouch.

But I knew Chika wasn't bluffing. She always said this thing about using people's own strength against them... And somehow, that was her specialty.

"We feel you, Chi." The smirk on Ebere's face made it clear to me that she was about to say something that was triggering her to laugh out loud, "You can fight and all, but are you also bullet proof?"

Chika burst into laughter, nearly fell of Soma's desk, and the twins were equally a laughing mess.

"Fuck you, abeg!" Chika stuck out the middle finger at Ebere.

"Is that why you have that bruise on your face, Chika? Someone hit you during a fight?"

I silenced all their laughing with my question.

However, the awkwardness was short-lived. The class started to get full as more classmates trooped in, in groups, filling the air with so much noise, and distracting us for a moment.

I felt relieved... But didn't particularly understand why.

"...And then we have next, THE IGBO SISTERS!!! You've never seen a clique like this before and---- WOAH!"

Aaron and Casper did a double take, eyes widened, mouth dropped, the second their eyes
