It had been hours since mum and dad left to have dinner, they would be home soon, but you couldn't just leave this picture here, but I can't take it with me either. The next best option was to take a picture of it with my phone and come back to investigate another time. Scared that mum would come home soon, hurriedly walking down the ladder with the photo saved onto your phone safely.

Once I reached the ground, quickly I put the ladder away before grabbing a glass of water. My body felt hot. My mind was a mess. I need to figure out what was the next step. Why would mum lie to me? Did it scare mum, the secret she holds? I can't make any rash decisions yet; I still didn't know anything. That could have just been her cousins that obviously I knew I had. Taking a deep breath as I felt the world spinning around me, remembering that I hadn't eaten anything since mum left.

The sound of my stomach rumbles throughout the quiet house; I was too distracted to find something that I had forgotten my own health. If mum found out, she would never let me stay home alone again. Moving fast towards the fridge but soon felt the aftermatch of moving too quickly in this state. Grabbing ahold of the counter as I got the feeling of floating, it was like I couldn't feel the ground underneath my feet.

My mind was spinning. Thinking fast before anything could happen, I grabbed my phone. However, my eyesight was getting blurry, and the names of my contacts were all out-of-focus. Clicking a random contact, hoping they would answer and help me. Putting the phone close to my ear, hearing the familiar ringing sound when finally I heard a voice. I couldn't make out the voice.

My mouth opened, but nothing would come out, attempting, but all I could feel was my saliva. Speak, damn it. Shouting in my mind, when finally a word was able to escape the prison "help-" I wanted to say more, but I didn't have the privilege to as my body moved on it own. Falling until I crashed to the ground, immediately the darkness surrounded me with open arms.

Opening my eyes but closing them immediately once I recognised the room I was in. Ugh, not here again. "Welcome back, dear" her voice brought shivers to my body as she stood above me while I laid on the floor. Shooing her away with my hand as I tried to gather my thoughts, I really didn't want to be here, especially after what I found. "Oh, you found something" letting out a sigh as I forgot she could hear my thoughts, reopening my eyes once again to see her with that irritating smirk.

Sitting up as I narrowed my eyes at her, "since you know so much, what was that photo? Who were those kids?" Crossing my arms, waiting for the answer. "Oh, does someone believe me now?" Smirking at me with those point teeth, she was clearly teasing me at this point. Shaking my head in disagreement, "I'm just curious. They could just be family members. Mum doesn't like talking about her family" I objected trying to stay on mums side instead of a demon who has nothing but cause me problems.

"Everything will be revealed, but I want to have some fun!" her voice echoed throughout the room before disappearing to show up behind me. The demon gripped onto my shoulders tightly before whispering into my ear her evil thoughts "let that rage out! Show the world terror." Rolling my eyes at her dramatic attitude, trying to control my emotions. I wouldn't let her get what she wanted. Never. "I'm gonna be a hero" a straightforward answer that she had to accept, it was my body, and she was not getting it. "Oh, are you not one now" she smirked with mischief in her eyes.

"I am" my voice came out weaker and quieter than I thought, I wasn't sure if I was one yet, but I had so much to learn. Everyone in class 1-A was so far ahead, and I felt like I was playing catch up. "(Y/N) you are not like your little classmates."

Looking at her as she began to fade away, but I tried to reach for her, something I had never done before. Suddenly I felt something wet and noticed that the room was flooding with water. Everything was strange; none of this had happened before. "Who do I trust?" the words fell out of my mouth as the water was slowly swallowing me up. An image of mum appeared as I tried to scream for help.

My eyes opened as I let out a huge gasp, taking in big breaths as if I was struggling to breathe. A body soon collided with mine, pulling me into a tight embrace. The person had a sweet honey scent that I couldn't mistake it for anyone else. It was my mum. Scanning the room to see I was in that horrible familiar hospital room. Feeling a sudden pain in my eyes, pulling away from mum as I rushed towards the bathroom that was connected to the room. Locking the door behind me as I looked into the mirror to see, a sight I wish wasn't there. She was there with her bloodshot eyes staring at me.

Splashing water on my face as I heard knocking at the door, "sweetheart, are you okay?" I could tell she was worried about me, but everything was a mess. "Leave me alone" my emotions were out of control, it was always like this once I step out of that hell of a nightmare. Taking a deep breath as my reflection turns back to normal, I felt bad for shouting at mum but that picture that I found, I need to know what it was. That demon was bugging me. Calm down. I have no evidence that she lied to me.

Mum banged at the door again, "what's wrong?" I could hear she was on the verge of tears. I can't lose hope in the people around me or else I will fall and won't be able to come back up. Opening the door and embracing mum "I'm sorry I just freaked out" whispering into her as she started to stroke my hair, attempting to calm me down.

"I knew something was up when you just let us go, I'm so sorry for leaving you" she whispered in my ear. I know she felt terrible about it, but I did want her to spend time with her husband celebrating their unborn child. "It's my fault, I didn't eat anything" maybe I shouldn't have said that as she pulled away from the embrace glaring at me. "If you want to be a hero, you have to eat" she started to pace the room lecturing me when someone opened the door.

I hadn't expected to see his face here. Endeavor.
