After the blackness of night, Earth's star rises on the horizon, spreading her light in every direction. She doesn't need an invitation, yet feeling her welcome. This her gift to us, lighting our world to see the path. The sun that brings a radiating hope, a new beginning. Another chance to live. The start of the brand new problems in my life.

Sitting on a bench in the park as I watch the sunrise in my pj's as if it was a movie. I didn't feel like going home, but I knew mum would be worried. Making my home in the early morning was probably the worse feelings, you never knew if you were gonna get in trouble when you got home or maybe your parents would still be sleeping.

Unlocking the door to see mum's tear-stained face before dropping her phone and rushing over to me. Pulling me into her warm embrace as more tears fall down. "I was so scared that I even called Shota" mum held onto me tight before running back over to the phone she dropped.

"She's home now. Yeah, she's fine" she spoke to her husband as I closed to door and taking off my shoes. "Bye. Love you" before she ended the call, I tried to sneak off to my room, but mum was quick to drag me to the main room but my ear. Whining at the pain, rubbing it as she gives me a lecture. "Where were you?" she gave me that looked that if I said one wrong word, I would be dead. "I needed to run" staring at her in the eye before she let out a sigh.

"Any reason why the sudden urge" mum seemed to calm down with my answer even though I had expected her to get even angrier. "No reason" my response was short and straightforward. I know I shouldn't lie to her, but everything was still a mess in my brain. She let out yet another sigh of relief before nodding her head and moving to the kitchen in silent, leaving me to myself.

"I've got my first baby appointment today. Do you want to come with?" mum entered and place some breakfast on the table for us to eat. Her eyes sparkle as she waited patiently for my response. I wanted to be there for mum just like she had been there for me. Nodding my head as I gave her a gentle smile before eating my food slowly.

Once we were ready, both of us headed to the hospital for mum's appointment. Mum was talking to the nurse as I sat quietly looking at my surrounds. I remember this place. It was the same hospital from before when I first met my demon. Memories were trying to flood in my mind, but I couldn't allow it, or else I would have a panic attack from it. Mum called my name, and quickly I followed behind her.

I hated hospitals.

The hallway has as much character as the rest of the hospital. Dull. The floor is slate grey and the walls dove. Above the ceiling is made from those polystyrene squares laid on a grid-like. In my opinion, there was too much light for such a gloomy place like this. There it was. I knew we would pass it. The bathroom where I opened my eyes to see that monster staring back at me. That day changed me even though I try not to let it show, I know it has.

We finally reach the door, brown and dull like all the others, but I can already see someone inside. "Well, here we are," the nurse smiles kindly and opens the door wider. There was one doctor who sat at his desk typing away at his computer before smiling at us and pointing us to the seats. Mum and him spoke while my mind was trying to escape from here, but I was trapped. Maybe I shouldn't have come.

"How about we see that baby of yours" the doctors voice was deep as he gave mum a sweet smile. Mum followed his instructions by getting on the bed with my help. Holding tightly onto her hand as he put some gel on her stomach, and our eyes were attached to the screen where my baby brother or sister was. Even though we couldn't see much of a baby, both me and mum began crying. We wiped our tears as we stared at the screen, watching. It was beautiful. I was gonna be the best big sister to them.

No matter what I would be there for them.

"Can I have one to show my husband?" mum asked as she tried to contain her tears. The doctor nodded his head before he was off to print it. "This time is so much different than before. I was alone, but now I have you and Shota by myself. I'm so happy" mum looked at me with tears in her eyes. She grabbed her wallet and pulled out two pictures. "This is you" it was a photo of my ultrasound, in this one you could see that it was a baby. "I so badly wanted my mum there so in hopes to reconnect with them. I sent this to them, but I never got a reply back."

I held mum tightly as the memories of the past was coming back to her. I'm glad I came with her, she has been through so much. Even if I have to suffer from the memories of my past, I won't leave her alone here. Never.

Trying to distract her as I take a look at the other picture, it was another picture of me. I was probably about three "I look fat" a sudden pain hit my side. Mum had hit me for insulting myself, "you look cute shh" mum spoke with a gentle tone as she caressed the photo. But turning to me and pinching my cheeks "you are growing up too fast. Stop!" Mum tears had come back as she attempted to make me go back to being small.

The door opened to reveal the doctor and handed mum the picture which she slipped it back into her wallet with other photos of me. "I can't wait to show Shota" mum giggled at the thought of her husband. Hugging mum from the side as the doctor gave some advice to mum, but mum already knew it.

We were walking home now, and I had decided that I needed to get my mind off what that demon told me. The only way to do that was to confront mum in some way.

"Mum-"
