His eyes stayed focused on the wall in front of him, Cato's leg bounced up and down. His stylists left him clothes on his bed, he was supposed to dress in them and go eat breakfast but he couldn't bring himself to it.

Today was the day. He was in District 3. He had to give his stupid speech today in front of Becca's family.

After several more painful minutes he finally dressed into his clothes and headed out his room and to the breakfast table. He sat down and stayed quiet, so did Enobaria and Brutus.

Cato decided not to eat and just drink some orange juice.

He could feel Mira's, Enobaria's and Brutus' eyes on him the entire time. He was getting extremely annoyed at everyone and everything. Nothing made sense anymore, his world felt numb and dull. And he couldn't do anything about it.

He took in a sharp breath before standing up, he turned on his heel and headed back to his room but Mira stopped him. "Cato, wait." He faced her and crossed his arms.

"Yes?" He asked, she stepped forward and held out a card.

"Please actually read the card today, if you don't you could be killed." She pleaded.

"I'm dead anyways."

He held on tight to his aching hand, hoping the pain would take away his worries. He sat on a couch waiting for his cue to go on stage and give his speech to Becca's District, everything inside him was screaming for him to run away and never turn back, but he couldn't do that. His heart rate sped up as he heard the special video the Capitol played at every district on the victory tour. He felt his throat close up at the sound of his name. He slowly stood and walked towards the stage, Cato could feel his hands and knees start to shake.

He stopped walking once he reached the middle of the stage, Mira stood behind him with a huge smile. His eyes locked with Becca's family, Chris; a girl around 13 with light brown hair stood tall with an emotionless face, he recognized that look. Because he used to have it, it was a look he made when he had to stay strong. When he had to train like there was no tomorrow for some stupid games to make his family proud. When he had to volunteer. When he stood in front of Becca's family giving a speech about how he was sorry. His eyes traveled to the younger girl Jima, holding on tight to her big sisters hand, then to the tiny boy Milo; so innocent. Not knowing what was going on around him. Cato snapped out of his thoughts and stepped into the mic, bringing it to his lips.

"I'm supposed to read this script everyday on the victory tour to the 12 districts, it says stupid things like "Thank you everyone. I'm honored to be here today-" and so forth. How could i even begin to say that after everything these districts have been through? I refuse." He pulls the card out of his pocket and rips it up, letting it fall to the floor. He then stares back at the crowd.

"I volunteered for my district, i wanted to make them proud. The Capitol made The Hunger Games seem luxurious, but as soon as i entered that Arena i had to fight to survive. And what made everything worse was Becca. When i first met her i knew there was something different about her, she wasn't like the other girls who would drool over me and throw themselves at my feet. She was the light to my darkness for me. And i was the light to her darkness. She didn't deserve her fate, i wanted her to win more than anything. I wanted her to come home to her family and have them live in a huge house and have every single thing they needed at their side; even if that meant i died in the process." He paused and took a deep breath.

"I'd do anything to take her place, she was everything to me. In the short time i knew her i fell in love. I fell in love with her smile, i fell in love with the way she'd laugh at my stubbornness. i fell in love with the way she looked at me with those blue eyes. And most of all i fell in love with her heart. She wanted to make it home to her family so they could have the life they deserved, she wanted them to have a good life that she never got to have. Its my responsibility now; so i will donate all of my winning funds to District 3 and Becca's family." The crowd cheers and Cato smiles.

Before he walks off the stage he leans into the mic one more time. "Oh and i have a message for the president." He looks straight into the camera below. "You'll get whats coming to you, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday someone will rebel against you and tear down every single thing you've built. I just wanted you to know you'll pay for every single life you've taken in your Games. Thank you."

He could feel panic arise in his chest, he knew exactly what was going to happen next and he wasn't going to fight it.

He felt two Peacekeepers grab his arms and take him away. He kept a straight face as they dragged him across the stage, the crowd roared in anger. Cato kept his eyes on the Peacekeepers as chaos erupted in the crowd, he watched each one of them get trampled by the people of District 3.

A smirk crossed over his face as they exited the stage.

He did it.

He started a rebellion.
