I slowly open my eyes, adjusting them to the bright light that's beaming into our room. I kick the covers off me cuz it's way too fucking hot for that shit.

Ace's light breathing fans against the back of my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I look over my shoulder at him and smile at how peaceful he seems. He exhales through his nose when I turn around in his hold and kiss his forehead. A small frown sits on his lips, something I notice he does whenever he'sΒ  asleep.

I pepper kisses all over his flawless face in attempt to wake him up which only makes him stir slightly. He furrows his eyebrows, turning to lay on his stomach as he moves his head away from my direction. Ass.

Looks like someone doesn't want to get the fuck up.

Sighing, I kiss his temple and get out of bed. I walk over to the bathroom and brush my teeth before taking a quick shower. I know I took one last night but I feel like my day isn't complete without my morning shower.

After having my shower, I walk back out and put on a new pair of clothes before grabbing my phone from the nightstand and walking out of the room.

I walk into the kitchen to see Theo giving Alea $50. Why the hell?

"What the fuck are you dumbasses doing?" I roll my eyes and open the fridge.

"We were debating which one of you were gonna come down first." Alea grins, counting her money.

"That's not fair. Ace is normally down first." Theo groans, glaring at Alea.

"She doesn't look like Ace." She says, pointing at me.

"He's still asleep." I chuckle, closing the fridge after I get the milk out.

"It's nearly noon." He scoffs.

I shrug my shoulders, grabbing the cereal from the cabinet along with the bowl. I was about to pour the cereal into the bowl until Theo suddenly yells.

"Woah! What are you doing psycho?" His eyes widen as he rushes over to me.

"Pouring my cereal?" I say, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Milk first." He says, gaping at me.

"And I'm the psycho?" I scoff, rolling my eyes as I pour the cereal into the bowl, "Cereal first."

"Theo you weirdo." Alea says, grimacing at him.

"What? It's milk first." He says, looking offended.

"God you're an odd one, aren't you?" She sighs, shaking her head.

I watch them with amusement as I eat my cereal. After I've finished, I wash my bowl and put it to the side.

"Me the odd one?" He points to himself, "How dare you." He gasps dramatically, acting as if he's going to faint.

I bite my bottom lip, stifling my laughter at his dramatics.

"Cut the act, Romeo." Alea scoffs, pushing his shoulder lightly.

"But Juliette!" He goes down to his knees, wiping the
fake tear from his eye.

"What's wrong with you?" I laugh, furrowing my eyebrows at him.

He stands back up and grins widely, "Nothing sugarplum." He pinches my cheek as I glare at him.Β

"Sugarplum? What are you, eighty?" Alea chuckles.

As he starts talking again, a very grumpy looking Ace Del Rosso walks into the kitchen. His eyes stay fixated on mine as he saunters over to where I am. I sigh and extend my arms out to him and he walks right into them, wrapping his arms around my waist as he buries his face into my neck.

"What's wrong?" I whisper into his ear, trailing my fingers through his bed hair.

"Want you." He mutters into my neck.

I smile and kiss his forehead. He frowns when I step back to sit on the counter. I tug his shirt and pull him towards me, wrapping my arms around his neck as he moves his arms to my waist again. He buries his face into my neck and sighs deeply.

He's always so drowsy in the morning if he doesn't have his coffee. Probably why he's acting like a baby right now.

Keeping one hand trailing through his soft hair, I use the other to get a mug from the cabinet. I brew the coffee and pour it into his cup. He's a weirdo for liking black coffee.

"Alea I'm going broke because of you." I hear Theo groan so I turn my head to the side and see him giving Alea another $50.

"Choose wisely next time." She grins, patting the top of his head as he glares at her.

"I'm not even going to ask." I sigh and shake my head, knowing it's another one of their stupid bets.

I hand Ace his coffee so he reluctantly moves his head away from my neck and sips it after thanking me.

"I am a wise man." Theo scoffs.

"You lost $100 within an hour. I highly doubt that." She says before turning to me with a grin, "Anyway, bae wanna go shopping?"

"As long as you don't take the piss." I sigh, getting of the counter. To be honest I don't really like shopping but when you shop with Alea it's a whole fucking adventure.

"No promises."

xXx

Ten shops later, we finally found the dress Alea wanted.

"What's the dress for anyways?" I ask, turning the corner to head towards the parking lot.

"Nolan wants to go out," She says with a grin.

I turn to her and grin, "Think he'll propose?"

She scoffs. "Definitely not."

My phone pings. Then it pings again. And again. The pinging doesn't stop so I take it out of my pocket to see Ace blowing up my phone. I reply to his messages and grin at the texts he sent me.

"God, he's got you smiling like a school girl." She says, opening the passenger side door to my car.

I roll my eyes and put my phone away as I was about to open the car door.Β  There was a sudden gun shot that echoed through the parking garage. I looked over at Alea, who was just as alarmed as I was.

"Get down." I whisper yell, crouching over to her and taking my gun out of my pocket.

"How much you wanna bet that this is Ivan?" She scoffs, rolling her eyes as she takes her gun out of her pocket.

Heavy footsteps echoed into the empty garage along with deep voices that were speaking what I am assuming is Russian.

I peak around my car to see a group of men wearing masks walking towards our direction fully fucking armed.

"We're fucked." I mutter, loading my gun up.

"Can never catch a damn break from these clowns." She whisper yells, loading up her gun.

I turn my head to the side, seeing their legs coming into view. Quietly, I crouch over to the front of my car and hold my gun up. Making sure they don't see me, I shoot one of their thighs, making them groan and fall to the floor.

"We know you're here, River." I hear one of them chuckle.

I roll my eyes and crouch over to a nearby pillar. Peaking my head around the side, I shoot another guys back and send them straight to the floor with a groan.

Two down, three to go.

I turn to look over at Alea and then do a double take when I don't see her. I frantically scan the place and then hear her panicked filled voice.

"Look at who we found." One of the men chuckles, pressing a gun to Alea's temple as he keeps a harsh grip around her.

I see one of them approaching the pillar I'm hiding behind so I grab their collar, cover their mouth and shoot their head. I push his dead body away from

me and discreetly approach the other two men from behind.

Unfortunately, they fucking notice.

Probably because of the gunshot.

"There you are." The ugly fuck chuckles, grabbing my arm and pulling me against him.

I kick his dick and punch his jaw, sending him to the floor with a groan. I hit the back of his head with a gun and was about to kill the motherfucker until his buddy grabs me by my arm and throws me down to the floor.

"Um ow?" I say, furrowing my eyebrows as I rub my arm.

"Get her." He orders, getting up from the floor as he glares at me.

"Alea run!"

"I'm not leaving you!"

"Go! Now!"

I punch the guys jaw again when he starts grabbing me, and grab my knife from my waistband. He groans when I stab his stomach and his grip loosens a bit. I use that as an opportunity to kick his dick and push him away from me as I grab the other guys neck. By now Alea has gone thankfully.

Just as I was about to punch him again, a gun shot rang through the garage.

I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder suddenly,
making me inhale a sharp breath as I let the guy go. I
groaned in pain as I looked down to find a pool of blood covering my shoulder.

"Until we meet again, River." The guy whispered into my ear. And then the sound of footsteps echoed into the garage, signalling he and his men were running away like the pussies they are.

They're dead when I get my hands on them next. I already killed three of their guys so two more would be nothing.

"River! Keep your eyes open!" I heard Alea yell. The heavy footsteps I was hearing earlier became faint until they were gone completely.

I tried keeping my eyes open but failed due to the black spots invading my vision. A painful grunt left my mouth as I applied pressure to my wound. Leaning my head back against the floor, I closed my eyes.

"River!" She yells again, putting my head on her lap.

That was the last thing I heard before I let the darkness consume me.
