You eventually made it back to your house. You dragged your feet across the floor and plopped down on your bed. You had this sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach you didn't really understand. It was like all your energy was sucked out of you the very second you walked out of Kirishima's door. You felt drained and wanted to sleep, but you couldn't. Eventually against your better judgment, you texted Kirishima out of boredom.

You turn off your phone and threw it somewhere on your bed. Letting out a deep sigh, you close your eyes and hope that sleep takes away the uneasiness still fluttering around in your system.

The next morning, your in the middle of your morning patrol. You still felt tired from not getting a lot of rest last night. You were distracted all morning. You bumped into your door while entering your office, spilled coffee on yourself while trying to take a sip, and were too busy staring out your window to hear your phone ringing. This however was not the time be out of it.

VILLAIN SPOTTED NEAR BUSINESS DISTRICT! HAS MULTIPLE HOSTAGES!  QUIRK IS MOLTEN LAVA! SEND HEROES ASAP!

Without even thinking you speed towards the business district. You arrive to the scene, pulse racing. Fires and half burned buildings are all you see. Grey smoke clouds your vision, but your able to make out a tall figure. You dart towards the figure, only to be pushed back by a raging heat wave. You unblock your face to see a woman with a fiery liquid dripping out of her palms. Beside her were multiple civilians crying. You had to think logically and quickly evaluate the situation.

'What to do what to do what do.........ok ok calm down. I need to think. First, lava bitch is trying to destroy me and everyone else in this place. But I need to get these people out of here......how do I get to them while keeping her distracted...'

You were ripped out of thought as you heard heavy footsteps charging towards you. You whip your head around to see the one and only Red Riot coming to the rescue. You couldn't have asked for a better miracle. Now you didn't have to fight this alone.

"RED RIOT! PROTECT THE PEOPLE!"

He gave you a quick nod and went to try and save the civilians.

'Now that's that taken care of, time to destroy this lava bitch'

Not being held back anymore, you ran straight towards the villain. She raised her arms and sprayed the hot substance in your direction. Your used your quirk to stop the lava midway and fling it back at her, not slowing down. She dodged your counter attack, but was tackled by you. You both roll around on the rubble, scratching and punching. You finally pin her down by putting all your body weight on her back. Before you could restrain her hands, she was able to aim towards Kirishima and civilians while he was trying to evacuate them. She launched lava in their direction, but Kirishima was able to block with by hardening his skin. As soon as the searing liquid touched his skin, he face contorted into a pain filled one and his quirk falters a little. You quickly grab her wrists and twist them behind her back, more forcefully then you needed to.

"GET THEM OUT NOW!"

With a look of pain on his face, he quickly got the rest of the civilians away from the wreckage. Two more heroes appear out of the smoke just in time. You look up and see Mina running next to someone you didn't recognize. She stop in front of you and try to help.

"Levita! Are you ok? We tried coming as soon as possible."

You look up at the unfamiliar male standing next to her. His hair was split even down the middle with one white and one red side. He had a faded scar around one of his eyes with two beautiful different color eyes. His demeanor came off a bit cold. He had a sturdy build and him towering over you made you feel a little intimidated.

'He looks a little scary.....wait.....why does he look familiar? Hold up isn't he Shoto?!? The number 3 hero??!!!!'

"It's alright your here now. Shoto, do you mind taking out the fires? And Pinky I need you to help keep her restrained."

They both nod and follow your orders. You hand the villain over to Mina and evaluate the wreckage. Most of the buildings were melted and crumbling down. You needed to do something to keep huge chunks of cement from falling down. You close your eyes and take a deep breathe. You raise both arms and spread out your hands. Feeling waves of energy flow through your arms all the way down to your fingertips, you use your quirk to catch all of the unstable pieces of building and gently place them in one spot of the area. Everything is heavy and you feel your body buzzing, but you push through, trying to lift every piece of heavy cement. Once everything is safely on the ground, you lift all of the heavy rubble and place them all in one pile.

Once finished, you dropped your heavy arms and take a look at your surroundings. There are still cracks and a little bit of damage, but all the heavy pieces of building are out of the way and everything looks less wrecked. Just then, Kirishima is jogging towards you with red and blue lights following him.

"Levita! Did you get the villain?"

"Yea, Pinky has her and Shoto is taking care of the f-"

You didn't get to finish talking before you were pulled into a bone shattering hug. You wrapped your arms around his big frame, enjoying the warmth. The smell of smoke and sweat filled your nostrills, but you didn't mind it one bit. Being surrounded by his embrace seemed to refill your already low energy from last night. The world faded away and you could only pay attention to him hugging you in this moment. It felt so right.

He slowly pulled away and held your arms. He gave you a worrisome look. He was scanning your face for the subtlest hint of pain or any marks.

"Are you ok? I'm so so sorry I was late. Please forgive me" you smile at how worried he was acting.

"I'm fine Red, just a little hot and tired. And you got here right when I needed you. Thank you for getting those people out. You really pulled through"

He left out a visual sigh of relief, only for smug smirk to take over his features. "You needed me huh?"

Your face grew warm and you lay your arms on his forearms. "N-Not like that you idiot. I don't need my friends that badly."

"Yeah.........friend"

You quickly retract your hands when you hear a hiss escape from the redhead's lips. You take a closer look at his forearms and see some of the skins pink-reddish color with some bubbles.

"What the fuck? Why didn't you tell me you were burned!"

"I'm fine, it doesn't hurt that much"

Just before you were about to speak, Mina walks up to the both of you.

"Hey guys are you alright? She sure was a tough one"

"Yea, we're find Ash"

"WE are not fine. Kiri here got hurt"

"It was just a burn, nothin I can't handle"

"Ok" she turned her head to face you. "Hey (y/n) lets go on a walk I wanna hang for a bit before we have to go back to work"

"I don't know Min,....... I mean Kiri-"

"Don't worry about me I'll be fine"

You turn back to look at him with concerned eyes. He gives you a gentle smile that makes weird feelings bubble inside you again.

"......ok but text me when you get your arm takin care of"

"Sure I'll talk to you later"

You wave goodbye and follow Mina out of the scene. She brings you over to a small ice cream shop. You both order and sit inside. You take a deep sigh and try to relax. The cool air of the shop sends a delightful shiver across your burning skin.

"I feel like we haven't really hung out in a while. What's new?"

"Nothin much.....well" you want to tell Mina about everything that has happened between you and Kirishima.

'My head hurts and I'm so confused. I would tell Mina, but they're friends. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable or worse......she tells him. No no, she wouldn't do that to me.....I think. No, she's my friend too and I trust her.'   You take a deep breathe and look back at the pink skinned girl who was waiting on you to finish your sentence.

"Do you not want to tell me? Because it's fine if you don't"

"No, I do want to tell you it's just.......well.......promise not to tell anyone"

"Girl of course I won't tell anyone. I want you to talk to me and trust me" she reaches for your hands and holds them in a  comforting way, while giving you a reassuring smile.

"Okay......so uhm.....things may or may not have happened between Kiri and me"

There's a moment of silence before she burst out laughing. You stare at her confusingly while she tries to catch her breath.

"Oh shit babes did you think it was a secret? It's so obvious that you two had done something. Remember that hand thing when you two first "met" girl please"

"Girl what the-just no we didn't even do anything at the time. It wasn't until after"

"Well what happened because you don't look happy about it"

"Uhmm.....so that night, got really close to kissing.....but then at the hot tub, which you said was empty at the time" you give a quick glare "he got in and we ending up kissing and........"

"And what? DONT TELL ME HE FUCKED YOU IN THE HOT TUB! Oh so you nasty nasty"

"Mina shut the fuck up witcho loud ass. And no we didn't fuck........but he did eat me out......"

Mina was joking bout the whole 'fucking' thing and knew something had  happened but she didn't expect the words that had came out of your mouth. Her eyes widened slightly and her jaw fell lack.

"Damn I didn't really expect...........wow..........hmm"

She looked down and placed her hand on chin while absorbing this information. The longer she was quiet, the more nervous you became. After a few minutes, she finally looked up with her eyes closed.

"It's about damn time Kiri finally got some. I can't remember the last time he had a girlfriend" she stated matter of factly. She opened her eyes and gave you a mischievous smirk. "Sooooo how was it?"

Your face grew impossibly hotter and you felt yourself slide down in the booth a little. "It was really really good" you mumble.

"Awwwww! Well I'm glad you too are together! Your two totally make a super cute couple"

"Wait wait- we're not a couple" you say confusingly. Mina loudly gasps and abruptly stands up while slamming both hands on the table. "SO YOU TWO DID ALL THAT AND AREN'T A COUPLE?"

"PLEASE sit down and lower your voice. And yea I know it sounds weird but think about it. We kind of just met. I don't really know the guy that much personally. I want to get to know him more before we jump in a relationship" you admit your true feelings.

"Well you fucked his face while not knowin him that well, but ima mind my binih" she snarked lowly

"oh fuck you" you rolled your eyes while eating another spoonful of ice cream.

"Honestly though, makes sense.............but still if that was the case, then why go that far with him?"

"Because I'm a whore for his entire being. Literally I would fuck the shit out of him"

"Eewwww gross. Keep that nasty shit to yourself." You both gave a light laugh, but then the atmosphere shifts into a heavier one.

"I thought I was doing the right thing by giving us space to grow as friends.........but it feels..........I don't know...........wrong almost"

"Wrong how?"

"Well.....it's like when I'm with him, my stomach starts to turn and I feel light headed and when I leave it's like all my energy is being drained out of me and I'm left feeling empty. My body feels so gross without him, but even weirder when I am around him"

"Uhmm..............well it kinda sounds like maybe you like him more than you thought...."

"What do you mean?"

Mina raised her eyebrow and gave you a serious look that told you to 'think about it'. You kept wracking your brain about it but nothing came to mind.

"Nope. Still have no clue."

"You really are a dumb bitch" Mina deadpanned.

You rolled your eyes and continued to eat your forgotten ice cream. You both continued eating and talked about dumb things until you were full. After eating, you both head back to your own agencies. On your way back, you felt a buzz in your earpiece. Thinking it was an emergency, you quickly answered.

"What's up this time Akira?"

"Nope guess again"

The voice on the other line was definitely not your assistant. It was deeper with a sultry undertone. A voice you've known for almost your whole life. A voice that's been repeatedly ringing in your ears all day.

"Red? Wait how are you! Is your arm ok? Are you ok?!"

"It's ok Y/N" he chuckled. "I got my arm fixed up so there's nothing to worry about".  You let out a sigh of relief, feeling your heartbeat slow down a little.

"That's good.....you really scared me when it happened"

"You were scared? Y/N do you have any idea how frightening it was to watch you fight that villain one on one? Scared the living shit outta me.....I'm glad your the one that's safe"

You felt a warm, fuzzy sensation all over your body and your lips slowly curved up into a soft smile. Something about him showing real concern about your well-being made you feel a little giddy.

"Thanks Eijiro........I appreciate that"

"No problem. I have to get back to work, but I just wanted to call you after I got my arm fixed"

"I'm glad you did and of course. Talk to you later"

"Yea, bye Y/N"

With two beeps, the call ends and just it's you and the city again. That empty feeling started coming back. The silence almost deafening compared to the bubbly and gruff voice that was just on the phone. You were too busy sorting out your feelings; not paying attention in front of you. Too occupied, you bump into the back of someone.

"Excuse me I'm sorry...I wasn't paying attention"

"It's fine accidents happen......"

You look up to see who you ran into and your eyes widened, taking in who was in front of you.
