We didn't get any news from sah sultan ever since she came to visit us but in the meantime my mom has at least ordered fifty different dresses for me and so many sleepwears. for the first time i felt spoiled but none of this excited me i was still very confused .

" You should smile hiranur get used to it" i forced myself to smile and continued folding my clothes because apparently i was going to get married in two days .

" Hiranur , guards sent from the imperial palace and they want to take you" meltem said as she barged in my room .

"What do you mean now ?" i put down what i had in my hands and opened my door , i took a glance from upstairs and there was my mother talking to them .

« Seems like there's demand for me today » i sighed as i went back to my room and changed into one of my new dresses , let my hair down and went downstairs .

I went directly to the carriage and they closed it behind me, the carriage kept going until it stopped infront of the palace .

i couldn't believe that this was going to be my forever home but let that sink in . i took a step and the guards guided me to the garden . it was set up beautifully and the tent looked majestic , there was no way this was just for me .

I kept looking around until a man declared the presence of his majesty , i turned around quickly to him and bowed down as he walked towards me .

« Welcome home hiranur » he said with a deep voice that sent chills down my spine

« Thank you your majesty for having me today » I looked up at him and his eyes were just so dreamy , he looked prettier up close but let me ignore this so i can focus on my mannerism .

« Make yourself comfortable » he offered me a seat while he sat on his throne , i kept my gaze lowered and tried to look anywhere but not him .

it was so awkward to be in the same place as him .

« You should get used to look at me , we're getting married soon » that sentence made me turn to look at him confused .

« You're right » i managed to answer before i decided to ask a question again « Aren't you scared that you're going to marry someone you know nothing about? »

He chuckled a bit before answering me
« Why would i be scared ? i should be the one asking you this , and i trust my aunt so much she would never choose someone not suitable » well i kind of felt proud of myself at that moment .

« No i am not , everyone knows how kind you are » that was wrong because i never heard people say this , he was so alcoholic and even his reign was weak , i needed to sugarcoat him .

« You're probably living in another planet then » i got so embarrassed because he caught me lying , the maids saved the embarrassment and brought us drinks and sweets .

« I mean my father talks a lot about your highness , he loves you so much » i answered trying to bring my dad in the subject .

« Ibrahim is a really good man , ever since i was a kid he has always been there for the dynasty » after that he took a sip from the juice infront of him and so did I

« I know , he's also a great father » i continued and remembered all the good times i shared with my dad .

« As for the wedding , we will follow our traditions . i want it to be the biggest wedding , one history will keep talking about » i didn't believe that this was happening .

i was not used to big things , i always chose simple things , simple choices , clothes . i never wanted something extravagant.

« look who we do have here , welcome hiranur » a voice called from behind , i stood up and bowed down to mihrimah who was walking towards us .

« Sultana » i said before looking at her , she bowed down to her brother before taking a seat infront of me , i also got seated once she did .

« Everything is going well for the preparation i suppose » Selim asked his sister and she nodded with a smirk .

« You don't worry brother , we just want you both to step back and relax . you have to be ready for the magnificent three days » magnificent isn't it ? that's a big word to say .

« Eveything you do is amazing sultana i'm sure it's going to turn out as perfect as you » i replied back to her

« You don't need to thank me , our late sultan and my mother didn't get to have a huge wedding since it was complicated back then but now i wanna make sure everything goes smoothly » She reassured us , at least i can trust her , she was indeed a good person and it's obvious she loved her brother so much .

Suddenly a man came to selim and whispered something in his ear making him nod after the man and stand up .

me and mihrimah stood up after him .

« I have some work to do , mihrimah , hiranur enjoy yourselves » he said before leaving us in the garden , he walked along with the man before his figure faded away .

« Hiranur this is an occasion to give you a harem tour » she stood up from her seat and guided the way while i just followed her into the palace .

the agha announced her presence but not mine obviously . we walked around the palace for some minutes before we arrived to the main hall where so many girls stayed .

Everyone fell silent as me and mihrimah walked in the middle , i kept my head high looking at the girls because soon i will be as powerful as mihrimah .

« Hatunlar , get used to see hiranur more often since she will be the haseki sultan , wife of sultan selim very soon » after this it felt like she dropped a bomb since whispers could be heard everywhere and so many people were talking at once

« But sultana » a girl from behind spoke and we walked towards her , she stood out from the others because of her clothes .

She looked like a sultana but i guess she wasn't

« What is it Turhan anything to say? »Mihrimah stopped in her tracks as she stood infront of her .

« Sultana i will bear his majesty's son very soon «  she was so sure of herself as if she was pregnant at that moment .

i felt my blood boil i couldn't stand hearing her bullshit , i knew selim already touched many women but this was all about to change if i marry him

« I guess turhan is your name right? » i touched her shoulder and she looked at me with so much pride

« Yes » she swallowed hard before i continued

« I don't care if you give him hundreds of sons , because you will never be equal to me nor now or later . We're not alike turhan » the whole harem fell silent and i looked over at mihrimah who nodded after me .

Turhan's face got red and she started shaking from anger , as i took a step forward i could feel her fall on the floor unconscious
