ii. In The Harem

Hatice sultana led me to a room near hers and brought me a Kalfa, telling me that she would teach me everything I needed to know. She lead Defne out and closed the door shut.

"So, let us start with the rules of the harem"

The Kalfa spoke and I nodded my head, "Okay, I hope I learn them soon enough" I said as the woman smiled at me. She nodded and started to speak about the rules

It has been a few weeks since I was brought to the palace. I had learned the harem rules and learned Turkish so that I could speak it perfectly. "Fatma Hatun, let's get you ready," Defne said as she walked toward me, Defne had also learned the rules of the harem. "Of course, Defne Kalfa" I responded and got up from my sitting spot, putting my book down. 

I was dressed in a cyan-blue dress covered with rhinestones. I smiled as Defne put some earing on me and began to smile at the result. "Let's go," Defne said as I smiled and got up from my seat. I began to make my way down the hall, and two women were following me behind. Hatice Sultana said that her brother, Sultan Suleiman, wouldn't bring me back as she herself begged him to let me stay. I waited at the Sultan's door with a smile and the guards opened the door, letting me walk inside. 

I held my head down as I walked inside and bowed down to his feet to kiss his robe. He slowly lifted my chin, my eyes fluttered open and I felt my cheeks flush a little. he smiled and moved his hand to hold my cheek, he slowly moved his hand and moved my hair back. He moved his head to my neck and pressed a soft kiss. He picked me up, bridal style, and started to walk to the bed. He threw me on there and came in soon after. He kissed me softly on the lips and I felt myself being pushed into complete bliss

It was morning time now, I awoke next to Suleiman and had my head placed on his chest. He was sleeping soundly and I looked up at him with a small smile. His eyes slowly began to open and once they fully did, he began to smile at me and caress my cheek. "y Fatma, My beautiful Fatma" he spoke and I smiled at his words. "Yes, my Sultan?" I asked as I moved to face him, which he smiled at and moved his lips to mine and we kissed. As we departed, I spoke, "May your day be full of love" to which he smiled and kissed my lips again.

It has been a few weeks now, I have been called to be with the sultan every day and each time it was bliss. Hatice Sultana was please of me, and made me meet the valide and haseki. I was now again getting ready for the sultan when I felt a sharp pain at my stomach. Luckily, Defne was at my side and called a doctor for help
