The ridges of the gun pressed into her skin uncomfortably.Β

They had been walking for nearly twenty minutes and she couldn't be more tired. She was sure that it was either midnight or creeping towards midnight. Her muscles ached for a break.Β

"The radio shack is right there!" Y/N left her thoughts and turned her attention to Kaitlyn, "I hope they caught a signal by now. I do not want to go back to the lodge with that dude running around."Β

The crackle of the PA system turning on confused the group.Β

"Guys! Hide! Get to a cabin now! Justβ€” Just get in a cabin!" Ryan's voice rang out on the PA and everyone scrambled to get inside the cabin.Β

What now?

The sound of growling entered their ears, Y/N peaked out the window to watch the hideous skin creature crawl up to the roof of the radio shack.Β

"Oh no," she whispered to herself.

The skin monster crept inside the RadioShack from the skylight.

"Ryan," she frowned.Β

It became eerily quiet, with no growls or scratching coming from the creature. She could only hear the sound of her labored breaths and the occasional jingle of a wind chime.

Bang!

She began moving towards the door before a hand caught her arm, "We don't know if it's safe."

She frowned, "But Kaitlyn what if something happened to them?"Β

"Y/N, if you run out there you're to get yourself killed," The ravenette harshly told her.

"Kaitlynβ€”"

BRRRRUMMM

A chainsaw?

"I have my taser gun," she pulled the gun from her waistband, "I'm not wasting another second."Β

The two women glared at each other.Β

"They're leaving the radio shack!" Abigail pointed out.

Y/N hastily stood up and ran out the door, shoving it open. Ryan and Dylan leisurely walked down the path.Β

She ran over to her boyfriend and grasped his forearms. Red specks littered his face, "Ryan you're covered in blood, what happened?"Β  Β

He looked down at his hands, "Um, it's not mine."Β

"Then whoβ€”"Β

Her eyes trailed over to Dylan, his left hand was missing.Β

"Glad to see you guys," the rest of the group jogged over to them. Kaitlyn's eyes widened, "Oh my God, Dylan. Are you okay?"

"Me? Um, yeah. I mean it doesn'tβ€” doesn't hurt," he looked down at his stump.Β

Kaitlyn nodded, "Okay, you're in shock."

"He got bit by that creature so I sawed his hand off," Ryan explained.Β

Kaitlyn stared at him in horror, "Why would you do that?"Β

"He told me to!"

Abigail tilted her head, "And you just did it?"Β

"Anyways, what happened to your shotgun," Ryan said.Β

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes, "One of the friendly locals wanted to say hi."Β

BANG

The group turned their heads to watch a woman with an eye patch jump over a fence and run off into the night.Β

"Did she just shoot someone?"Β

πŸ¦‰

The group when over to the pool where they saw the woman shoot a person.Β

A woman floated face down in the pool and both Y/N and Ryan recoiled in shock.Β

"Poor girl," Kaitlyn said before looking at the others, "Should we do something?"Β

"There isn't anything to do," Y/N frowned, "She's dead."Β

"That's Kaylee Hacket. Mr. H's daughter."

"I thought she went home for the summer," Abigail said.

She nodded, "Yeah, we thought so too."

"You smell so good... I want to taste you."

The writer side-eyed the man next to her. Nick had Abigail grasped tightly in a seemingly one-sided embrace. She could tell that Abi was starting to feel uncomfortable.Β

"Hey ease up, Nick," she said gently.

He craned his neck to look at her with a sinister stare, his eyes were red and his face was sickly pale. "Shut up, Y/N."

Nick quickly turned his attention back to Abigail and pulled her closer in a vice grip.

Abigail harshly whispered something to Nick that Y/N couldn't hear and before she knew it Nick was pushed into the pool. The water splashed in all directions and some of it even landed on her.Β

Nothing happened, only a few air bubbles rose to the surface. Suddenly Nick resurfaced and began screaming at the top of his lungs.Β Β

"Iβ€” I didn't mean to hurt him," Abigail looked around the group, "I just wanted him to stop."Β

Kaitlyn nodded, "It's not your fault, Abi."Β Β

Ryan crouched over to the pool and awkwardly reached his hand out, Nick ignored the helpful hand and pulled himself out of the pool before shivering on the poolside.Β

"There should be some towels and heaters in the pool house," Ryan pointed out, "We can dry him out there and try to think about what to do next."Β

The group all went into the pool house without another word.Β
