I woke up to my alarm, lying on Mike's chest. He groaned and wrapped his arms around me. I smiled and sat up, turning it off. I leaned down and placed a light kiss onto his lips.

Mike opened his eyes and smiled at me. I nuzzled my nose into his neck for a moment before getting out of bed. I was wearing an old NASA sweatshirt Mike had.

My heart was pounding in my chest, today's competition day. The day I've been practicing for, for months. I walked downstairs and greeted his mom. She had made me breakfast, earning a 'thank you'. We conversed about my competition and halfway through Mike came downstairs. His hair stuck up in all different directions, as it always did.

We both smiled at him as he sat down, greeting him with good mornings.

"Mike, these are your families passes. Don't loose them. I can't get anymore. You guys don't have to come in with me but please be there by 2. I have the last program in ladies free-skate."

His mom nodded and I smiled. "Thank you."

. . .

I was warming up, looking for Mike and his family. They're supposed to be here by now. They have a little while I suppose... There are only two other girls in this event though...

They'll be here. Mike promised.

I laughed at Lucas tried to show us his new skill, flirting, on Max. "Oh damn, it's 3. I gotta go."

"What?" I sat up, my heart racing. "I said it's 3, I gotta go." Dustin repeated. "Oh fuck... No, no, no, no." I got up and ran upstairs to my room. I grabbed the passes off my desk, and ran back downstairs. "What's wrong with you. Are those concert passes?"

"No dumbasses! Y/n's competition! I was supposed to be there at 2!"

I ran out of the room, grabbing my bike. I biked a few blocks until I was at the ice complex. I ran inside and saw my family standing at the door. I slowed down and stared at them. My mom looked furious. I walked over and started handing out passes. "It's over Micheal." I shook my head and walked into the arena. I ran down to the dressing rooms and then into the side piece of the arena.

I was perfecting my program. Sure, I placed first but it was a little rocky. I have my hardest jump first. I was getting ready to go into it when I saw Mike. I fucked it up and fell, I held my nose as soon as I felt the pain in it. "Y/n!" I ignored him, getting up. I put a smile on my face, continuing the program. I had to skip two point scoring elements to catch up.

I did my program as if my nose wasn't bleeding and Mike wasn't in the stands.

The second the song ended I skated over to the wall. I grabbed tissues, cleaning myself up as best I could. This costume cost $600. It'd better not have any blood on it.

"Y/n I-"

I looked at him in disbelief. "You said you'd be here. You promised me you'd be here. You missed the biggest competition of the year. I let the others slide because you had school but what kept you from watching me this time?"

"I was just hanging out with my friends..."

I nodded and wiped my tears away. "Right, because you'd rather watch them act like jackasses, as they do everyday rather than watch me compete? Which you've never seen."

He looked at the floor and I nodded. I got off the ice, sliding my guards on. I glared at him as I walked back to my dressing room.

He followed me, which wasn't very hard considering you can't go very fast with guards on your blades. "I'm sorry! I'll come to the next one! I don't care if I have school. I swear I'll do better!"

I scoffed and turned to him. "Wasn't that what you said last time, Wheeler?"

. . .

Unfortunately for me, I still had to stay with Mike... And Lucas and Max were sleeping over. I decided to sleep in Mike's bed, but make him sleep on the floor. He was perfectly okay with this, apologizing a million times. I was in the kitchen with Max, making some snacks. Max and I have an odd relationship. She likes me but thinks I'm replacing someone. I really don't have time for friends.

I hardly have time for Micheal.

I finished and went to leave when Max stopped me. "We didn't mean to keep him away from you... We genuinely didn't know you had a competition."

I shrugged her hand off, "It's fine... I'm being dramatic-" "No you aren't. Mike is a shit boyfriend most of the time from what I've seen. Not that Lucas is any better... I don't know, boys are stupid." She walked off and in walked Holly.

"Y/n! Y/n! You were sooooooo pretty in your costume!"

I grinned and thanked her, patting her head lightly.
