Y/n noticed Boris the second she sat down on the bus that morning. Being the new student was always hard but this was the first time she found it easy to not hate it here.

. . .

By the end of the day she had mustered up the courage to sit next to him. He had his headphones in, blasting music. Yeah, he'd noticed her all day. Her outfit and personality caught his eye. Every second she didn't spend staring at him, he spent staring at her. Boris looked over at Y/n and pulled out one of his headphones.

"What're you listening to?"

"Hypocrite."

His accent caught her off guard and made her blush. Boris glanced away in embarrassment, offering her the ear bud. She took it and scooted closer to him, putting it in.

Boris shifted and accidentally placed his hand on her upper thigh. Y/n stared at his hand for the split second it were there before he pulled it away. "Sorry, sorry. That was completely accident. So sorry." He bowed his head to her and she laughed. Boris looked up and she leaned onto his shoulder. The boy wasn't sure what to do, but he was sure he didn't want this to end.

. . .

Y/n sat next to her boyfriend, grabbing his arm and lying her head on his shoulder. Her eyelids felt heavy as Boris talked. She was so tired she could hardly muster up the energy to hum. Boris noticed how tired she was and simply shut up. He pulled out his phone and swiped through the photos of them together. They've only known each other for 4 months and he's already gathered over 1,000 pictures of her.

Y/n snoozed peacefully on his shoulder, gripping his bicep.

What the young couple didn't know what that ever since the first day Y/n and Boris met, all the other girls in school have grown to hate Y/n. They'd been trying to get his attention for years and Y/n just waltz's in and snatches him up? They wouldn't allow it. They've been starting cruel rumors all week and it was just about to set into place.

Someone airdropped Boris a photo that showed Y/n kissing one of the football players. Boris rolled his eyes and deleted it. Boris was there when that happened, he watched the guy make the move. Y/n and Boris were both unbothered for the most part. The girls in the back scoffed as they watched Boris kiss Y/n's head and then rest his on top of hers.

Boris knew what was going on and he's known since this all started. He was aware he was in this awkward position. He wasn't popular but all the girls loved him. Even the popular ones. This of course meant trouble for his beloved Y/n.

Boris got more photos that the girls had spent hours editing to make it look like Y/n was a bad girlfriend. Boris sat up and turned around. He scanned the back of the bus before his eyes landed on the small group of girls. He rolled his eyes and gave them the middle finger. He sat back down and Y/n rubbed her eyes.

"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you." He caressed her cheek softly. "It's okay. This is our stop anyways." Boris looked out the window and hummed. She was correct. He picked his stuff up and stood up. The bus stopped and Y/n stood up. Something hard hit her in the back of the head, she and Boris looked back at the group of girls giggling.

On the ground there was a water bottle with a paper on it. Y/n picked it up and Boris rushed her off the bus. Y/n pulled the paper off and dropped the bottle. On it in big, bold letters was one sentence.

GO BACK TO THE STRIP CLUB SLUT.

Boris gave the girls the middle finger, pulling Y/n along. Boris sighed and muttered to himself in Russian. Y/n started to laugh and Boris looked over at her. "What?" He asked. She hugged him and laughed. "You're so cute." She whispered. Boris stared at the desert, unsure of what to do. He rubbed her head, pressing his lips against
