Almost everyone goes inside for the reception to begin. You have to stay behind because Jin has to interview you. Naobito's instructions were that as the guests go inside, you stay out for Jin. You stay by Toji's side, watching as your daughter refuses to go with the nanny since she wants to spend some time with her mother, who she hadn't seen since the previous night. She runs to you and hugs your dress.

"Mommy." She says, and your hand lands on her back and gently pats it. Toji just glances over before looking at the same nanny, who holds his son. It was a miracle that Megumi didn't cry once in the ceremony.

"Misaki, I'll spend some time with you later, okay? I have to do something first." You tell her and she lets go. She isn't happy with the response, but regardless, she deals with it. She walks back to the nanny, who is also making her way to you. The woman apologizes before walking away with the kids.

Jin makes his way to you two and smiles. "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Zenin."

"Thank you, Mr. Itadori." You respond. He looks back for a second to see the nanny and the children walking back into the mansion.

"The little girl is your daughter, Mrs. Zenin?' He questions and you nod in response. He then looks at your husband. "And the baby is your son, Mr. Zenin."

"It doesn't take an idiot to figure that one out." Toji says which makes you glare at him. He looks back at you and rolls his eyes. You then look back at Jin.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Itadori. Toji just wants to go inside and celebrate our wedding, which isn't possible since we're getting interviewed." You inform Jin. He doesn't take Toji's words seriously. In fact, he has zero to little respect for your husband so he's not really interested in what he has to say.

"It's no problem. This will be quick, Toji, so no need to worry."

"When did we get on the first name basis?" Toji mutters, and you just sigh in response. He wasn't so difficult in the first interview, so what changed now?

"Ask away, Jin."

You find yourself inside, hearing the congratulations from anyone that passes by you. They set tables outside for people, but for now everyone's inside drinking and chatting away, waiting for their food and their table.

Everyone wants to talk to you, yet you find yourself alone with your child. Naobito dragged Toji elsewhere, to talk about his new job and where he stands with the family business, now that he's married to the woman that his family chose.

The nanny holds Megumi, and she stands close to you. You want to hold him, but she says that he might puke and ruin your dress. So now you listen to your daughter ramble, which causes you to smile because you prefer to hear her over anyone and everyone.

"When I saw you I was like- like- like 'wow mommy's a princess'." She tells you, after telling you about how much she missed you for the amount of hours that you were apart. You smile at her.

"Thank you, Misaki, but you're the actual princess here. Look at how pretty you look in that dress." You compliment her. She smiles at you and you bend down to kiss her cheek.

Your father walks up to you, and he doesn't dare to congratulate you. He knows better, for once. He smiles at you before looking at his granddaughter who excitedly looks at him. "Grandpa! Can we play patty cake?"

And he doesn't refuse. He crouches down to her level and begins the game with her. And you watch them for a second before deciding to walk over to the nanny.

"I can take him, really. I have no issue with the dress being ruined." You insist, and she feels as if she needs a short break because she's been holding on to the baby for so long. "Go get yourself a drink and take a short break."

She gives in and you take the baby in your arms. You smile at him, and he notices the pretty necklace that's around your neck so he attempts to grab it. It's shiny and he likes that. His chubby fingers wrap around it and pull it.

"Megumi." You laugh as you try to unwrap his little hand from the necklace. He holds on, but he doesn't pull anymore. He stares at you for a bit. You look back at him, with a smile on your face. His hand then attempts to touch your cheek, but he fails.

You debate about lowering your head so he can touch it, since you don't want your foundation to be messed up and you also don't want his little hand to be covered in makeup. But you do end up lowering your head, and you expect him to fully grab your chin as if it is a stress ball, so it takes you by surprise when he gently pats it. It makes your heart melt and you want to fill his face with a bunch of kisses, but you wear a deep shade of lipstick and you don't want to leave imprints all over his face.

And you're so focused on the baby that you fail to notice your husband is by your side. He clears his throat which causes you to finally notice him. He's quick to take the baby from your arms, asking, "Where's the nanny?"

"Told her to take a break and that I could handle Megumi." You respond, and Toji doesn't say anything else. There's too many people around. You walk back to your daughter and father, and Toji follows because he doesn't want to awkwardly stand around and get asked a bunch of questions by strangers that claim to be family.

Naobito catches everyone's attention as he lightly taps the dull side of a knife against a champagne bottle. His voice is firm as he informs everyone, "The garden is ready, please join us for the reception."

Everyone begins to walk out, and the five of you stay behind. Toji can't leave without his wife, and you don't have plans of walking out with everyone; he's glad though, he wants to stay away as much as he can from all of them. They're all evil. They're the reason he ran away.

He was better off without any of them, but he really couldn't do much since he had no money. He has no money. His family is wealthy, and he came back five months ago, begging for a job because all other jobs wouldn't be able to sustain a single father with a four-month-old son. They had a condition, and this was it.

He's getting more than he bargained for. He wanted a stable income, and now he's getting a house, and more money than he could've imagined, as well as a job. This was the prize for fixing up the same image that he had ruined so many years ago. Yet he finds himself miserable.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to take so long!" The nanny comes running back, and is quick to take baby Megumi from Toji's arms. She then holds Misaki's hand. "We'll be going outside, we'll see ya then, Mr. and Mrs. Zenin."

They begin to walk away, and your father follows. So you're left alone with Toji. You exchange a look. There's no malice behind your gaze, he notices. He doesn't have to like you, but maybe he doesn't have to be so restrictive with his son. You will be living under the same roof that same night. He doesn't have to like you, but he doesn't have to be so bad, he thinks for a split second.

"Your son is such a sweetheart." You comment, still waiting for a couple more guests to exit the mansion. Toji isn't sure what to say in response.

"He is." Toji ends up agreeing. "Misaki is also a sweetheart. Glad that I won't be living with the child version of the spawn of Satan."

You laugh at his words before silence between the two of you takes over. Once everyone walks out, you begin to walk to the door. He walks behind you, and once he catches up, he grabs your hand. It feels weird to say the least. You two walk out and everyone's gaze falls on you two.

The bride and the groom.

Naobito notices how you hold hands which is good. Better than he expected. Toji has the tendency to fuck things up so he assumes this is your doing.

You take a seat at the table that is reserved for you two. There's only two seats and they're right next to each other. And two think that less than 24 hours ago, he tried to kill you and now you sit next to each other, married and forced to be cordial with one another.

There's two drinks placed in front of you. Both champagne glasses. You take a precaution and place your drink away from Toji, just in case he gets another wicked idea.

Everyone drifts into their own chatter, meanwhile you find yourself quiet at your own table. You don't have anything to say to your husband. He doesn't have anything to say to you.

Five minutes of straight chatter go by until the DJ that was hired takes the microphone. He taps it a couple of times which catches everyone's attention. They set up a dance floor quickly, and you feel your stomach turn because you didn't think they would force a first dance. They hadn't even commented once for you to practice, and now you feel the nerves run through your body because you're not confident in yourself.

Toji takes that as his cue, so he stands up. He extends his hand, and you have no other choice but to take it. He helps you up and you sigh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the bride and groom to the dancefloor, for their first dance." The DJ speaks, and you shut your eyes for a split second. Toji leads you to the dance floor before some romantic song plays in the background.Toji's left hand lands on your waist, while his right hand takes you left, and your right hand lands on his shoulder.

He can tell that you're nervous. You did not prepare for this, and now Toji wonders if he'll take this and use this to embarrass you. But he can feel the burning gaze of his uncle, so he decides to not try anything.

You sway side-to-side, following Toji's lead. Every now and then you accidentally step on his foot and he takes it as your revenge from last night. It takes everything in him not to wince in pain. And you want to mutter an apology each time you accidentally step on his foot, but also remember the events of last night.

But Toji manages to make it look majestic as you move around the dance floor. He sells it to them. You two are so magically in love. A beautiful woman walked into his messed up life, and fixed the rebel child that slowly and bit by bit tried to ruin his family's reputation. And now he's so in love, ready to be the perfect son, nephew, father, husband, and first and foremost, man.

No one really attempts to study that look in Toji's eyes. If one of them did, they'd notice how his eyes are empty as he looks at the woman that he supposedly loves the most in the whole wide world. Except the last person that should be able to notice it. He notices it right away; ever since the ceremony he knew.

Ever since the proposal he has known that something is off. It doesn't come off as natural. It all seems forced. He doesn't know much about genuinity, but he can clearly tell it's all a faรงade. He didn't buy the fairytale bullshit that is being sold to him.

The music stops, and everyone claps. You're glad that it's over, and drag Toji to your table. You both take a seat and everyone begins their usual chatter.

"You killed my feet." Toji whispers, which causes you to laugh.

"Payback." You respond with a smirk on your face. He rolls his eyes and sighs. He's not ready to deal with you every single day.

Chatter is once again interrupted by the clinking of a knife with a glass. You watch as your father stands up, and he's given the microphone. It's time for his speech, and you sigh because you don't want to hear it.

But before he can even open his mouth, he's interrupted. Another person, another guest that is wearing white, walks towards you. She isn't a guest because any guest that was wearing white was kicked out. She walks confidently, and what makes everyone look at her is the loud clicking of her heels as they come into contact with the stone path. She holds a glass of red wine, and a smirk on her face. She comes on the stage that's in front of you.

"Dear bride," She begins, that red wine immediately catches your eye and you flag it as dangerous. You have no idea who she is, so you snap your head to look at Toji. "Dear Groom."

Naobito quickly calls for security to take this woman away, but they can't come fast enough.

"How dare you lie to me, and not even a week later get married to a woman like her, Fushiguro?" She begins. "Your dear little husband was coming to my side, last week, begging for comfort."

And you believe her. But letting her know you believe her isn't an option. You stand up, and walk towards her, not caring to ruin the dress. You're confident, and you hold your head high. You hate your stepmother with every fiber of your being but one thing she taught you is to hold your chin high no matter the circumstance.

"Who even are you?" You ask with a mocking tone. "What do you want from my husband? Money? Or did he ignore you and now you're bitter?"

"I wouldn't be doing that if I were you." She threatens, the red wine close to your dress. You smile at her.

"Do it. I can fix the dress. What can't be fixed after this is your bad reputation. You'll be seen as a lunatic." You tell her.

Everyone's watching. But she wanted to cause the scene so you'd give it to her. "But I can tell you where my husband was last week. Wedding planning with me all day."

"How about nights?" She raises her eyebrow with a smirk, as if thinking she's got you. You wink at her.

"Do you really want to know sweetheart? Let's keep it family friendly and say that he was doing to me the same thing he's gonna do tonight." You feel Toji's hand on your waist as he stands behind you.

"I don't know who you are. I'm Zenin not Fushiguro." Toji backs you up. "Now leave and stop making psychotic claims. You're ruining me and my wife's day."

Security comes and takes her away as you and Toji sit back down. You glare at him and he rolls his eyes. Out of all things, you didn't think this was going to happen on your wedding day.

Naobito watches from away, thinking that he chose the right woman for the publicity stunt. Because that's what it is for him, a publicity stunt.
