Toji doesn't remember his purpose as he feels the sea breeze gently brush against his body. He takes a deep breath, smelling the salty air that's all around him. He looks outside the balcony, looking at the people that walk in groups. The loners who decide to enjoy the night sky as they walk along the shore. And the couples.

The couples are what hurt the most as he studies the beach. He had once promised her a trip like this one when they both had the funds. And now that he's here, he feels as unhappy as ever because the trip wasn't for him, it was for her.

She always talked about the sea and how she wished to see it again. She used to talk about how when she was younger she would usually go to her grandmother's beach house for the summer break, and once her grandmother sold the house she was never fortunate to visit the sea again. He promised her to buy her a house by the beach, where they could go each summer with their children.

Toji sighs and tries to not think of her, because he let himself be vulnerable the first night here which brought him great shame the next day. He doesn't want to cry when you're right inside, knowing that you'll make fun of him. He deserves it, he knows.

He looks back at the beach, his eyes immediately looking at the full moon. Its beauty graces the beach, it's a beauty like no other. Its gleams reflect on the sea, and he smiles at the daydreams he once had of them together as they stared at the moon.

"I miss you." He mutters. And the smile slowly drops, his heart going back to its gloomy state. He looks at the black wedding band that adorns his left ring finger. It's the one from his wedding. His real wedding. From his real matrimony. "I swear I'm doing this for Megumi."

And his lips slowly tug upwards as he mentions his son. That's his purpose. His only purpose. Once upon a time it was her, and then it was them both, and finally it's only his son.

He lives, and breathes, and survives on the piece of shit Earth to take care of Megumi.

He stops watching the tranquil moon, and goes back inside to find his current wife on the bed. He sighs as he picks her up, and puts her down on the couch, careful to not wake her up. He had claimed that bed when they got there, and he's not willing to give it up to anyone. Especially to her of all people.

As you ride in the black car the Zenins had sent, on your way to your new home, excitement rushes through your body. You can't wait to see your daughter again. You were only away for five days, but it feels like an eternity. You miss her in a way you've never missed someone before.

You look out the window and watch as you drive to your new home, and you wonder how your new home looks. Maybe you'll have a bit more freedom here- It's been a while since you had a taste of freedom and you miss it. What you don't miss are the financial struggles that you were always in, but supposedly you won't have those struggles anymore.

Toji doesn't look out the window, he doesn't look really anywhere. He's facing straight ahead, his eyes not really focused on anything. He bounces his leg anxiously, waiting to get to his new home to finally see his son. He misses the teething baby who won't let him get an ounce of sleep. Never did he think he would love a tiny human who popped into his life ten months ago so much.

"We're here." The chauffeur announces and Toji quickly opens the door. He gets out as you scoot over to get out from the same door, but he slams the door shut before you can get out. You sigh before opening the door and getting out of the car as well. The chauffeur parks and gets out to get your luggage out of the trunk.

The house is beautiful, nothing as extraordinary as the mansion you got married in, but it's still pretty big. Sufficient for a family of four. It's a two-story family home, the outside white with a brown roof. A magnolia tree adorns the outside of the home.

You plan on getting your luggage, but first you run to catch up to Toji. Once you're behind him, you lightly kick the back of his knee, and watch his leg fold. You giggle before running back to the car to get your luggage. You slightly turn your head back for a moment, as you run to the car to find his middle finger up in the air.

Toji opens the door to his new home, and he doesn't care to take off his shoes. He walks straight down the hallway, passing the stairs and the portraits of each member of the family that were already put up. He walks into the living room to find the nanny playing with one of your daughter's dolls, along with your daughter. The nanny immediately notices and stands up, apologizing to your daughter.

"He's asleep upstairs in his crib, I can get-" She begins but Toji interrupts her.

"It's fine. I'll go check up on him, he's barely been sleeping anyway." Toji responds. He waves at your daughter, who waves back, before he walks away and goes to the stairs.

You walk into the home, leaving your suitcase by the door, and take off your shoes before walking down the hallway. Your eyes light up when you see her, and she puts her doll down and runs to you the moment she sees you.

"Mommy!" She yells as she runs to you, and you crouch down to receive her hug. She hugs you with as much as she has in her little body. You kiss her cheeks so many times.

"How are you, baby?" You ask with a smile on your face, as she pulls away from the hug. She runs to get the dolls that she was playing with the nanny with, with the intention of asking you if you're willing to play with her.

You're too tired, but you don't have the heart to refuse. When she walks back with her dolls, you take one and look at the nanny for a second.

"I'll go get my bags and go." She smiles. She doesn't bother to ask for a payment, because she already received it. Plus she knows that neither you nor your husband handle the money. She waves at Misaki before walking away.

"How were you these past couple of days, honey?" You ask, and she gives you a thumbs up with a smile.

"Great, mommy." She answers.

"I'm so glad, baby."

-

When your daughter tires out, she puts her doll down and sighs. "I think we should take a break, mommy."

"Alright, honey." You laugh as you put the doll down. You never really got to take a look around the house because since you got to the place, approximately two hours ago, you placed your undivided attention on your daughter. "Do you want a snack or something?"

"Yes, please. Some grape juice." She answers, and you stand up from the gray couch and walk to the kitchen to look at the fridge, to see if there's anything you can offer. If not, you'll go to the nearest convenience store and get it because you also are hungry and wish to eat something.

The kitchen is big, at least bigger than what you would expect. It has enough space for multiple people to walk in. There's an island in the middle, and enough counter space for any appliance you want. It's definitely an upgrade.

The fridge is stocked up, just as you expected. There's all types of food in the fridge, and you search for juice. There's none, so you go to the pantry, and the boxes of juice boxes catch your eye. You notice the flavors, but nothing that is grape. "We don't have grape, how about some fruit punch?"

"Okay!" She yells back. So you open the box and grab two juices, one for her and one for you. You walk back to her and give her the juice box, and she figures out what she needs to do. You get your straw and poke it into the small circle that it's supposed to go in. After you begin to suck the juice out.

You both drink quietly and you finish first. You wait for her to finish and hand you her empty juice box, before walking away to throw it away. Once they are disposed of, you look at Misaki.

"Care to give me a house tour, honey?"

"Of course, follow me, mommy." She responds with an excited tone of voice. She runs up to you and grabs your hand.

She shows you the first floor, which you have pretty much seen all. There's the living room, kitchen, a small half bathroom, and a tiny closet. Of course there's the sliding doors that lead to the big backyard.

Then she leads you upstairs, and she opens the doors to show you the bathroom, the guest bedroom (which you noticed has a lot of unopened wedding presents), the master bedroom, the master bathroom and Megumi's nursery.

You find Toji in the nursery, his eyes shut as he sits on the rocking chair. He hadn't left the room since he got there, two hours ago. You quickly exit the room, careful to not wake up either of them.

"And finally..." She begins as she drags you to the last room of the tour. She opens the door and shows you her bedroom, "my room!"

"It's so pretty, I love it!" You comment as you look at the pink room. It also has lots of toys, and has cute decorations. Naobito did a good job on the house. Or whoever he hired for that matter. "Did the nanny show you all the rooms?"

"No, grandpa did." She reveals, which surprises you since the nanny never informed you that your father stopped by.

"Did his wife come with?" You question and she shakes her head. She's not interested in talking more about the topic, instead she begins to show you the cute stuff the room has. Some new things that she never had before, the toys that she always wished for but you didn't have the money to afford.

"Honey, will you play alone for a bit?" You ask and she nods in response. You walk out of the room and go to the master bedroom, to study the room. You're going to claim it as yours before Toji can. The guest bedroom is smaller and filled with gifts, and you don't want to deal with putting those gifts away for the day.

An idea comes to mind and you run downstairs to grab your suitcase, to execute the plan and see if it works.

-

"What the fuck?!" Toji yells as he walks into the master bedroom. "Why the fuck-"

"Stop saying curse words when there's two children in the house." You put your hand over his mouth. You take your hand off his mouth and let him speak again.

"Why the fuck is your underwear all over my bed?" He asks in a much lower voice.

"You mean my bed, right? This is my room." You respond as you walk past him to go to the bed and sit down. "Take up the guest bedroom."

"I don't want the guest room." You tell him. You stretch your arms before falling back onto the bed. "Plus my stuff is all over this room, can't you see?"

"Oh I can see that." He sighs. "I'm not giving up this room though."

"I'm not either, Fushiguro." You respond, and his eyebrows furrow, but you can't see. "Now leave my room."

"I'm not leaving simply because this is my room." Toji tells you. But you don't say anything. You don't make the slightest movement, mainly because you don't have the intention of getting up, because you decided ever since you stepped into the room that it was yours. You wouldn't let him take it.

"I'm not sure what you mean. My panties are all over the bed, and half of the clothes are already in the closet." You inform him and he clicks his tongue.

"You think that's gonna stop me? I'll throw the panties off the bed and throw your clothes out as well. It's my room." He answers. You don't say anything. You don't move. A smirk slowly forms on your lips since you know his anger is rising. "Get out and collect your shit before I grab a trash bag and begin to throw it away."

"Who the fuck do you think you are to tell me what I have to do?" Your voice is firm. You make it clear that you won't move as you continue laying on the bed.

"I'm your husband." He replies, thinking that it'll somehow do anything. "Most importantly I will be the one that will provide for you and your daughter so you must respect me."

"That means jack shit to me, Fushiguro." You begin as you get up from the comfortable bed and walk over to him. You look him up and down, clear disgust in your eyes. "How can I respect you when you aren't a respectable man?"

"Do not speak to me like that."

"Do I owe you respect? Last time I checked I didn't. You're so insignificant, Fushiguro. I'll talk to you however I desire." You say. "You can't do anything, last time I checked. Now treat me, your dear wife, with respect and leave my room."

"I'm not leaving the room." He's firm on his stance. He won't leave. But neither are you.

"Then I guess we're sharing the bed."

-

You cook dinner for your daughter and yourself, as she sits on the couch and watches the TV. You immediately notice the extra presence in the first floor, when Toji walks down the stairs with his son.

"Hello, Misaki." Toji says when he notices her, as he walks through the living room.

"Hello Mr. Toji." Misaki takes her eyes off the TV for a second to look at Toji and at Megumi. Toji walks to the kitchen and notices that you're cooking something up.

"What are you cooking?" He asks as he looks at the pasta. You stay quiet as you finish up what you're doing, before answering his question.

"Something that you won't be eating." You tell him before looking at baby Megumi. You pull on his chubby cheek, gently. You talk to the baby in a much softer voice, "You can have all of it if you'd like. I'd just make more for Misaki and I."

"It's probably bad anyways." Toji rolls his eyes, as if he's not salivating at the mere smell of the food. Toji walks to the pantry to look for the formula that Naobito said would be there.

"I can watch Megumi while you make something for yourself." You offer, and Toji wants to decline the offer, but he needs a small break from the baby.

"Eat first, then I'll give you the baby." Toji responds as he grabs a container of formula powder from the pantry. And Toji struggles to make a bottle while holding baby Megumi, as you eat with your daughter at the small dining table.

"This is really yummy, mommy." Your daughter comments as she fills her tiny mouth with the pasta. You smile at her as you continue eating. You catch a glance as Toji shakes the bottle with one hand.

"I'm glad, honey." You reply. You both eat quietly, watching as she slightly shakes her head side to side, humming a happy tune as she eats the Fettuccine. You watch as Toji walks to theย  living room to sit on the couch, while Megumi drinks from his bottle.

"Can we play some more?" Misaki asks.

"Baby, it's almost time for bed." You remind her, turning her sweet smile into a pout. "We can play tomorrow, all the time you want."

"Alright." She responds. She finishes soon enough, putting her fork down on the plate. You congratulate her on finishing everything on the plate. And when you finish you pick up the plates from the table and put them down in the sink.

"You can play for a bit while I clean up, honey." You tell her and she nods before running to the stairs. "No running, Misaki! I don't want you to trip!"

"Sorry mommy!"

You begin to wash the dishes, your eyes falling onto Toji and the baby. Toji looks tired, although he did take a nap on the rocking chair, although you doubt that the nap was comfortable.

"I'll finish the dishes, can you just hold Megumi and-" He begins and you just sigh before accepting. You'd rather take care of Megumi than to do the dishes. You close the tap and dry your hands before walking over to Toji to take Megumi.

Megumi is finished with his bottle when you take him into your arms, so you give the bottle to Toji, who walks off.

"Did you bathe him, already?" You ask.

"No, not yet."

"I'll do that after burping him, then I'll put him to bed. Don't lock me out of the room." You inform Toji, and he has no option but to agree since you are taking care of his son.

"Actually-" Toji begins which catches your attention. He sighs, in shame since he doesn't want to ask you out of all people. "I'm starting my job on monday and I don't really want to hire a nanny since you'll be here, so... Can you take care of Megumi for me while I work?"

"Of course, Megumi's a sweet baby."

-

"You're so cute~" You can't help but comment as you put his onesie on him. He kicks his feet in the air and you can't help but laugh. One Megumi is in his pajamas, you pick him up and cuddle him. "Does your daddy just let you fall asleep in your crib or does he hold you until you shut your eyes?"

You sit on the rocking chair and look down at the baby with a smile on your face. He looks up at you with his big eyes. You caress his forehead. "You know, I also lost my mom. I was a bit older though."

"But I can be a motherly figure for you. Just treat you with as much love as a mother can. I'm stuck with your daddy so I might as well." You continue looking at him, and he lets out a yawn, showing the three teeth in his tiny mouth. "Your daddy is mean, but he loves you very much."

"You know, I just put him in the crib and he falls asleep." Toji speaks up, spooking you since you hadn't noticed him standing in the doorway.

"I wasn't sure." You tell him. You stand up from the rocking chair and put Megumi down in the crib. You wave at the little baby, "Good night, Megumi."

You walk away and past Toji, exiting the room to go to your daughter's bedroom. She plays with her favorite baby doll.

"Alright, honey, let's give you a quick bath before you go to bed."

-

It's nearly midnight and you're too tired to even function. You take a quick shower and put on your comfiest pajamas before you walk over to the king size bed that's in your new bedroom. It's covered in silk sheets, and you can already feel them on your skin.

You look at the bed, and it's as if you fall in love. But that love fades away when Toji sits on the left side of the bed, taking his shirt off and throwing it across the room. You sigh and roll your eyes. "Can't you be decent enough to stand up and toss it into the hamper."

"Nope." He answers as he lays down on the bed, hogging all the pillows. He leaves you with one, on purpose. You sit down on the bed and grab the lotion you put on each night before going to bed. "Can you turn off your lamp?"

"I'm busy at the moment." You respond as you put the lotion on your legs. Toji reaches over and turns off the lamp, and you quickly turn it back on again. "I told you I was busy."

"Well, I'm trying to sleep." He turns off the lamp again. You turn it back on. He turns it back off.

It goes on for another ten seconds or so before you grab one of the pillows he is hoarding and hit him with it. He finally stops and just lays on his side, trying his best to block the light. You mutter, "Fucking man child."

"Shut up, bitch." He is quick to speak up.

"I'll strangle you." You threaten and he shuts up.

Once you finish, you turn off the lamp and forcefully take one of the many pillows he has. You lay on your right side. And try to shut your eyes.

This is for the best. You weren't going to be happy either way, so at least now you can assure a future for your daughter.

"Good night." You say, and you are met with silence.

You can say that at least you try to be civil.
