"Jin." You pull away, and just look at him dumbfounded. You don't know which words you should choose next. You look around as if the right words will just magically be laying around. That's when you spot him. Toji glaring at the two of you. You two make eye contact before you look back at Jin. "This isn't right."

"I shouldn't have... But you can't deny that you didn't enjoy it." Jin responds and you take a step backward, looking straight at Jin. Your mind is hazy, and you can't figure out what to say.

"This isn't right." You repeat, not sure what to say next. You don't dare to admit that you're partially at fault since you did kiss him back. You let him blame himself. You watch as his cheeks turn a sweet shade of pink and he looks down at the floor in shame. "I'm sorry."

"Why are you-" Jin begins, looking up from the ground to look at you. But you've turned and are now walking away. You just think about the awkwardness that will fill up the car once you get in. You can't imagine the tension. But in the end, you don't owe Toji any loyalty.

The marriage isn't real. Your relationship isn't real. Hell, Toji doesn't even like you. The kiss was a mistake, that you'd admit, but it should not be a big issue.

You get to the car and get to the passenger's seat. Misaki is playing peek-a-boo with Megumi, and Toji just sits patiently in the driver's seat. Toji doesn't show an ounce of emotion, which you're glad of. He starts to drive, and silence fills up the car.

There's nothing to say. That's good. Better than what you expected. You like this confining silence better than anything else that Toji might say. It causes an ease in your heart. Maybe Toji finally stopped thinking of you as his wife. Maybe he sees you as your own person again, and you hope that's the situation.

You get your phone from your purse and see the various messages from Jin. The apologies for starting the kiss, as if you didn't meet him halfway. You'll allow him to believe that. You'd wash your hands off for the crime that you, too, committed.

"Mommy, can we get ice cream?" Misaki asks. And you wish you were once again a child, oblivious to the situation. She can't sense the tension. Or at least that's what you think.

"Not today, honey. Maybe tomorrow." You respond. She doesn't push it, instead she goes back to giving her attention to Megumi. She knows something is off, and she doesn't dare to push your buttons.

Toji continues driving, changing to the left lane to take a left turn, except this isn't the turn to go home. You don't say anything even though your mind goes to the worst possible place. It shouldn't take you by surprise when he stops at the ice cream parlor, but it somehow does. A sigh of relief escapes your lips. Toji parks and opens the door.

"C'mon, Misaki." He says and she takes off her seatbelt before opening the door. She excitedly walks to Toji, and he grabs her hand before walking to the entrance. And you know you shouldn't feel guilty, but you do.

"What am I going to do, Megumi." Your hand reaches back to feel your baby's foot. You smile and close your eyes, resting your head on the seat. You sigh, wondering how your life got so complicated. Noโ€“ Complicated isn't the right word. Your life was complicated before and now it's not that. Your life is just confusing. So fucking confusing.

"Night night, honey." You kiss your daughter's forehead and make sure the blanket is up to her chin. She always ends up throwing it off her in the middle of the night, but you still make sure she is covered properly so she isn't cold.

"Night night, mommy." She responds. You stand up and walk away, turning off the light before walking out of the room and gently closing the door. You don't walk to your bedroom, instead you walk to Megumi's nursery just to check on the baby. The door is closed, so you open it slowly and take soft steps to check on the sleeping baby.

The baby sucks on his thumb since his binky got taken away. You watch his tummy rise and fall with every breath he takes. You can't help but smile at the baby. It amazes you, once again, how you can love a little human so much. You look for a couple more seconds before walking out of the room, gently closing the door.

You walk to your bedroom, and there he is. Sitting on the bed, his arms crossed. He wears his pajamas, which isn't much, just joggers and no shirt on. Usually you admire his body for a couple of seconds, but not tonight, your mind is thinking of something else.

You begin to close the door, turning your back to him. It doesn't fully close before his arm is on your wrist, stopping you. His grip is strong, but not enough to hurt you. You turn around to face him, and he's glaring at you.

"You're such a fucking slut. Couldn't even get a room, you just had to show the whole world your relationship with Jin Itadori." Toji begins and you're a bit taken back by his words. But you let him speak. You don't care to interrupt him because in the end, his words don't affect you. "You're so ungrateful. You know that man has the power to ruin our lives, right?"

"It's not a big deal, Toji." You begin, managing to get his grip off you. You walk to the dresser to get pajamas. He turns, watching every step you take. "It was just a kiss that he initiated, and I pushed him away. Since you were so adamant in staring, you should've seen that, no?"

"You met him halfway there. I'm not Jin, you can't easily convince me because I know what I saw." Toji argues. "I'm no fool. You kissed him."

"So what? It was just a kiss." You respond, already getting a bit irritated with your husband. You put the pajamas on the edge of the bed, not wanting to go do anything else until the argument is over. Which you hope it'll be over soon.

"A kiss can mean so much. In what world does a kiss not signify anything?" Toji answers, furrowing his eyebrows.

"We've kissed before and it doesn't mean anything." You remind him. He takes a couple steps forward, getting closer and closer to you. You just watch him. His facial expressions tell the same story as his words. He's fuming. Disgusted.

"Our kisses signify a fake relationship. What about your kisses with him, true love? Is that what you would call what you have with that freak?" Toji says, causing you to scoff. You shut your eyes for a moment, trying to recollect your thoughts.

"First of all that kiss meant nothing. Not true love. Nothing. Secondly, don't call Jin a freak." You take a second to take a deep breath before continuing. This is all so... Bizarre. "You said it yourself. 'Fake relationship'. Therefore, you shouldn't care. It's not your business what I do. In the end we'll end up separated. You don't love me, I don't love you. This is a marriage of convenience."

"Is that how you think?" Toji raises his eyebrow. He chuckles, which makes you furrow your eyebrows. "No wonder your relationship with your daughter's father didn't work out. He probably realized how big of a whore you are and decided that sticking around for your daughter isn't worth it."

"Do not bring him into this!" You unintentionally raise your voice. He chuckles again, a malicious smile overtaking his lips. His hand goes under your chin and you quickly slap it away.

"Seems like I hit a nerve." He responds. And he doesn't mean the words that he's about to say because he adores your daughter, but he wants to hurt you. And for it to really work he has to bring her up. She's your Achilles' heel. "Just face it, sticking around for you wasn't worth it. Especially not for your inept daughter. Gosh, if I were him and had a daughter like that, I would've left a long time ago."

"Do not bring my daughter into this, Toji!" You yell at him, your hands balled up into fists. You're consumed with rage. And while you swore you wouldn't stoop down to his level, that now is long forgotten. "I could say a couple things about you, Toji. At least my daughter can reunite with her father. My poor little baby Megumi can't even do that."

Toji's smile is gone. He furrows his eyebrows while you continue speaking. "I'm sure you haven't forgotten about your dead wife, right? You know, the one that you compare me to every. single. fucking. day. And yeah, my partner left, but at least I can move on. I like that better than grieving over ashes."

"How dare you?!" He raises his voice.

"No, how dare you?!" You respond. "And you know something. She was probably a great person. And I can't blame her for anything. To be fair, if I were in her spot, I would've killed myself. Being stuck with you for the rest of my life? That sounds like a nightmare."

"Oh well, I have some news for you! You're stuck with me. So better load a gun or get a bottle of pills ready because you're not getting out of this marriage!" He continues yelling. Neither of you have any consideration for the sleeping people in the house. You just hope that the almost-closed door can manage to muffle the yelling. "When the Zenins decide something, no one can convince them otherwise. And they've decided that you're my wife."

"How great it'll make you look! Two deceased wives! Suicidal women will sure come running to you so you can curse them next!"

"I'll gladly do it! But how about poor Misaki? She's gonna have no one, because I'll certainly not be taking care of her." Toji begins, and you hold your breath. "Her mommy killed herself and her daddy left her. And she'll be left on the streets with no one, because she's just so unloveable that no one wants her. I think that's funny."

"Do not speak about my daughter!" Your palm strikes against his cheek, hearing enough from him. He cynically laughs. "You're such a piece of shit. If anyone here is unloveable it's you."

You grab your pajamas and begin to walk away. You stop halfway and turn around to face him. But that's not enough. You walk back to him. "And call me a slut, a whore, whatever the fuck you want. I'll do whatever the fuck I want with Jin. Hell, I'll even send you a video that you can watch since you're clearly into that shit."

You stop for a brief moment. That was supposed to be it, but you're not satisfied. So you continue. "Jin would actually make me feel like a woman. Actually please me. You wouldn't be able to do that. I know you wouldn't. And I know how badly you want to do that. To just get to touch me."

"Hmm...?"

"Don't act like a fool, Toji. I know you had a dream about me last night. You kept moaning my name. Was it..." You imitate the sounds you heard from him the previous night. "Wasn't going to bring it up... But since we're on that topic."

You walk away to the bathroom, and Toji is slightly blushing. He bites his bottom lip and sits down on the bed, torn on what to do now. He's enraged, just thinking about ways to get some sort of revenge.

He grabs his phone and looks for his secretary's contact. He finds it and quickly clicks on it. He hears the phone ring perhaps once, and she picks up. She's about to ask what he needs, hoping it's what she wants. She's about to ask, but he beats her to it.

"Have you had any luck contacting the number I gave you?"
