"Gumi!" You yell, trying to spot the toddler who ran away from you when he heard that tonight wasn't going like your usual Saturday nights. Usually the four of you would watch a movie that they want to watch, and while Megumi falls asleep not even 30 minutes into the movie, it's something he enjoys. There's always popcorn, soda and candies that the little glutton feasts on, and he somehow manages to fall asleep with so much sugar in his body.

But tonight there's none of that. He won't be awakened by his mommy when the movie is over so she can brush his teeth. His father won't read a bedtime story to get him to fall back asleep either. His parents won't stay with him tonight, so he hopes to show them how fun it is to be with him so they'll stay with him.

"Mommy!" You hear. It's like a game of hide 'n seek, except he's yelling your name so you find him. A sigh escapes your lips, and you check up on Misaki, seeing that she and Toji are playing with her dolls. Toji's ready to go, you aren't though.

"Gumi!" You yell again.

"Mommy!" He yells back. That sound is coming from the guest bedroom. You enter the room, and your eyes scan the place. Of course he wouldn't be out in the open like that.

"Gumi!"

"Mommy!" You lift up the bedskirt and lean down to immediately see your little boy hiding under the bed. He smiles brightly and it melts your heart.

"C'mon, honey." You say and he begins to crawl from under the bed. He finally gets out, and you pick him up from the floor, kissing his cheeks, "What were you thinking, honey?"

"Play with me, mommy." He pouts. Your bottom lip sticks out and you hold back from laughing. Not only are you leaving him tonight, but you're not paying much attention to him because you're getting ready. You kiss his cheek again before looking around the room. It's dusty, and you take note about cleaning it during the week.

"Tomorrow we will play as much as you want, honey." You tell him, which doesn't satisfy him. He crosses his arms and furrows his tiny brows.

"Put me down, mommy." He says, and it hurts your heart a little but you do as he wishes. He begins to walk away, and you hope he doesn't begin to run because you know you won't be able to catch up.

The bed covers look a bit messed up, making you assume that Megumi tried to climb on the bed but failed. Your hands land on the covers and begin to smooth it out. Your eyes catch something white that sticks out from under the mattress. It seems like a piece of paper. You lift up the mattress and find two folded up pieces of paper.

Your eyebrows furrow, and you lightly bite the inside of your bottom lip as you grab them both. You wonder what it is. You walk out of the room with both pieces of paper, and walk back to your bedroom.

The moment you walk to the bedroom you find Megumi trying to climb onto your bed. You put the pieces of paper down on your nightstand before lifting up the toddler onto the bed.

"Are you going to help mommy choose her outfit for the night?" You ask Megumi and he nods. He begins to suck on his thumb, laying his little head on your pillow. At this rate by the time you leave, he'll be asleep. "You're just the sweetest baby."

-

"What do you think of this dress, honey?" You ask Misaki who decided to join you. You would also ask for Megumi's opinion, but just as you predicted, he fell asleep on your bed. Misaki tilts her head before shaking it.

"I don't like the color." She comments. You look over yourself in the mirror and can't help but agree with her. At this point you're even questioning why you bought it. You walk to the closet to look for another dress.

You still have some time while Toji gives the babysitter instructions. You pick a black cocktail dress, one you know Misaki will approve of. You quickly change and then you walk out. She gives you a thumbs up.

"Pearls or diamonds?" You ask her as you walk over to your vanity and open the jewelry box. It's filled with jewelry, all gifts from Toji. And perhaps a couple pieces that were gifts from Shiu.

"Pearls!" She exclaims. You grab the earrings and put them on. Misaki watches you put on your earrings for a couple of seconds before getting bored. She can't do anything with Megumi because he's sleeping. She looks at the nightstand and her eyes land on the phone. "Mommy, can I play with your phone?"

"Yeah, honey." You answer. She grabs it, and notices the pieces of folded paper. She won't grab it and just read it without your permission, she knows that doing something like that can get her in trouble.

"Mommy..." She begins, earning a hum from you. "What is this?"

"What's what?" You slightly turn to see what she's talking about. She's looking at the pieces of paper that you found under the guest's room mattress. You're not sure what it is either. "Nothing important, baby. Leave it alone."

"Okay." She doesn't question it. She unlocks your phone and looks for one of her games, the papers on the nightstand quickly becoming her last thought. You stand up and grab the folded pieces of paper, grabbing your purse and putting them inside. Right now you have to focus on getting ready so you can't check them out now.

You walk back to the vanity and grab your pearl necklace. You attempt to put it on with no help, but you can't manage to clasp it. The door opens, and Toji's eyes land on you. He quickly walks over to you to help you put on your necklace. Once it's on, he presses a kiss on your shoulder.

"You look stunning as always, my love." He compliments you and you're quick to thank him. His hands wrap around your waists and he pulls you closer to him, resting his chin on your shoulder. He looks at you through the mirror, his cheeks growing pink. He'd whisper something in your ear, but your kids are on the bed. He presses a kiss on your cheek before letting go. "Misaki, let's go greet the babysitter."

"Okay!" She answers. She turns off your phone and puts it down on the bed before getting off the bed and walking out the door. Toji is about to follow behind, but he first walks over to Megumi to press a kiss on his forehead. Toji grabs a blanket and throws it over his sleeping son.

"Sleep well, Megumi." Toji whispers, pressing another kiss on the sleeping toddler. He's tempted to take the toddler's thumb out of his mouth, but he doesn't want to risk waking him up. "I love you, stinky."

Toji walks away, walking fast so he can catch up with his daughter. You look for your heels before walking to the bed to put them on. You take a seat on the bed and put on your heels before reaching over to press a kiss on Megumi's forehead. You smile at him before standing up from the bed. You take your purse and walk out of the room.

"Hello." You greet the babysitter with a smile when you get to the living room. Misaki is already luring her to play. She greets you back. Toji smiles at you, holding back on compliments as he walks over to you.

"Ready?" He asks you and you nod in response. "C'here Kiki."

Misaki stands up and walks over to you two. Toji crouches down and hugs her, kissing her cheek, "I love you, honey. Behave and be nice to your brother."

"I love you too daddy." She responds. She pulls away from the hug and then walks over to you. You lean down and kiss her forehead and then her cheeks.

"Please behave, honey. Have fun too. I love you so much, Misaki." You tell her. She nods in response.

"I love you too, mommy." She says. You smile at her and stand up straight before smiling at the babysitter.

"If anything comes up, you have our number." You tell her before beginning to walk towards the door. Toji follows behind, putting his hand on your lower back. He opens the door for you and you both walk out, and the chilly weather immediately hits you. It's nothing too bad so you don't have to go back inside to get a coat. If anything, Toji will just spare his jacket.

You head to his car. He opens the passenger door for you, a thank you leaving your lips as you get in. He walks to the driver's side and gets in. He cups your face and pecks your lips before turning on the car.

"So where are we going out to eat?" You ask him. The only detail he gave you was to dress up fancy. He doesn't respond as he backs out of the driveway. A minute later, there's still no answer, just a smile on his lips. "So we're keeping it a mystery... Okay."

"How was your week?" He changes the topic, and you're thinking about giving him the silent treatment until he tells you, but you end up deciding against it.

"It was pretty good. Megumi has finally gotten the hang of going to the bathroom instead of just shitting his pants." You inform Toji, making a chuckle leave his lips. "Housework is light lately, excluding the constant running after Megumi. How about you? How was work?"

"Pretty okay. Tedious." He answers. "How-"

"How's Hana doing?" You ask, and Toji wants to chuckle but he holds back. His hand lands on your thigh, and he rests it there. He doesn't attempt to do anything more than just rest his hand because he got a room for that. Even if it's just for an hour or so.

"Why are you asking about her?" Toji responds, trying his best to sound normal. He looks at you for a split second before saying, "You know there's nothing to worry about, love. I have eyes for you and only you."

"I don't know, Toji. I just don't like her." You share. "She hasn't done anything, but she gives off this bad vibe."

"I assure you there's nothing to worry about." His thumb caresses your thigh. "You gave her a clear message when you last came to my office."

"Let's not talk about that-"

"What was it? ' Oh, Toji! It's so good! '" He mocks, which makes you roll your eyes as you cross your arms. "Oh, c'mon honey. Just joking. But I'm just saying, if you want to make it even clearer, we can repeat. I can give you a couple more things to scream. I love it when I hear your sweet voice so loud and clear like that."

"Toji..." You begin and he hums in response. He expects you to berate him for his words or something along those lines. "I've been watching our sweet babies, and I was just realizing how fast they grow up and all."

"Yeah... That's the way life is." He responds.

"I was thinking that maybe I'm ready for another addition to our family." You continue, and your words make Toji's eyes widen. "Maybe we should start trying for a baby."

"I think- I- That's an amazing idea, love." He's nearly left speechless. "I think we should start tonight."

"Hmm... We can practice tonight. I didn't want to get off birth control until I talked to you about it." You tell him. Toji doesn't know what to say. There's a mix of emotions that flow through himโ€“ He's happy, yet he's scared. He's already feeling stressed even though there's no hint of a baby coming any time soon. He's worried about going through another pregnancy and raising three childrenโ€“ You take notice of this and are quick to say, "Take a deep breath, love. It was just a suggestion, if you don't want to try for a baby, we don't have to."

"Noโ€“ I want to. Trust me, I want to." He replies. He does take a deep breath, and also thinks about holding a baby in his arms. Maybe crying a bit too much. But just a piece of the two of you. Another little human that will fill up the house with joy. "I really want to."

"Okay..."

It takes you by surprise when you pull up to the Zenin's mansion. The one he proposed in, also the one you got married in. He parks and turns off the car, quickly getting out of the car so he can open the door for you. He extends his hand for you to take, and you take it before getting out of the car.

He leads you to the front door, and he reaches into his pocket to look for the key. He finds the key and unlocks the door. You both enter the place, and it takes you by surprise that the lights are on. You've always wondered if people lived here, and the fact that the lights are on tells you yes. Now you wonder why Toji brought you here.

"There's no place better to spend our anniversary than here." He tells you. "C'mon. Let's go to the garden."

"Does anyone live here?" You ask him as you follow him to the garden. You look around, taking in details that you've missed the last time you were here.

"No. It's just a house that the Zenin's have. I asked them if I could use it tonight and I hired some people to set the place up." He informs you. You exit the house again, and you continue walking until you get to the place he proposed, and your eyes widen.

He set a table up, and fairy lights adorn the place. If that's not enough light, there's a candle in the middle of the table. There's rose petals on the grass. There's two empty glasses of champagne on the table, and right beside the table is a cart that holds a bucket of ice and champagne.

He pulls a chair for you and you take a seat. He grabs the bottle of champagne and he opens it. He grabs your glass of champagne and fills it up before he grabs his own. He takes a seat across from you.

"Two years..." He begins as he takes a sip from his champagne.

"It's been two crazy years, I'll say that." You comment, a giggle leaving your lips. "But magnificent nonetheless."

"I got them to make your favorite." Toji tells you. "Make sure to eat up because you'll need a lot of energy tonight."

"Of course, love." You respond. You put your glass down and put your elbows on the table. You open your hands for Toji to take, and he takes them. He kisses your knuckles.

"I love you." He says. He looks at you, and while you do look magnificent, he wonders if you're cold. "Are you cold?"

"Maybe a bit." You comment, and he takes off his jacket. He stands up and puts it over your shoulders. You properly put the jacket on. "Thank you, love."

"I should've given you a warning." He chuckles as he takes his seat. You feel there's something in the pocket of the jacket, and you can't help but reach into it. You pull it out, and your eyes widen. "Oh- Honey..."

"What is this, Toji?" You question as you inspect the little black box. Not even five minutes into dinner and his plan is screwed up. He stands up again and he grabs the little black box from your hands.

"Two years ago, we got married because we had no other option." He begins. You stare at him, trying to figure out where he's going with this. "So tonight for our second anniversary I thought, why not actually propose?"

"I love you so much. You're the most beautiful woman to ever walk this Earth." He begins, as he gets down on one knee. "You're the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. You're the best mother our children could ever have. I want to grow old with you... What I'm trying to say is will you marry me... again?"

"Toji..." You stand up, as he opens the little black box, showing off the beautiful diamond. A ring that's way more beautiful than your first engagement ring. You smile and nod, "Yes, Toji! I'll marry you again."

He stands up and puts the third ring on your left ring finger. You cup his face and kiss him. His hands wrap around his waist, and he kisses you back. And he won't let go so soon.

"Alright... Let's stop before we don't eat dinner." You pull away with the brightest smile on your face. It's so genuine too. He pecks your lips one last time before he lets go and takes a seat once again. You sit down, and reach for your purse to look for your phone.

"We'll also have a honeymoon. One that we can enjoy." He comments, a smile on his face. He's the happiest man to ever walk this Earth. At least at the very moment. "Do you have a place in mind?"

"Not yet... But that's something we can think about later. Right now we have to focus on which dress I'll put Misaki in." You respond as you grab your phone, and it's fairly dry. No text messages from the babysitter yet. "Oh, and can you imagine Megumi's little tuxedo? He'll look so stinking cute. We have our flower girl and ring bearer right there."

"They might as well be the only people at the wedding." Toji chuckles, sipping on his champagne. You put the phone back in the purse, when you feel the texture of the paper. You've completely forgotten about it, but now it's fresh in your mind.

"I found some paper under the guest room's mattress." You begin as you pull it out. This makes Toji's eyes widen. You unfold one of them, not really reading it and just looking at your husband, "I thought maybe your uncle or someone put it there. I'm nosy, if you haven't noticed."

"Did you leave it there?" Toji stutters a bit, clearly nervous.

"Did you just not hear that I'm nosy?" You reply, a chuckle escaping your lips. You look back down at the piece of paper, and Toji's happiness disappears just as fast as it appears. He's sweaty in this chilly weather. You look at Toji once you read it, but you're in disbelief. Perhaps your eyes deceive you. You clear your throat before reading,

"To my dear Misaki..."
