ALSO VOTE Y'ALL ITS THE FINALE LETS GOOOO

*Knock knock knock knock knockโ€”!*

I sleepily limp downstairs in cozy pyjamas, not bothering to bring along my crutches. I can pretty much walk without them now. When I open the front door Taehyung enters wearing a sweater, sweatpants and sandals.

"You're not ready yet?" He asks surprised.

"What? Of course not..." I rub my eye, "Taehyung it's 6:30 am, why are we going on our date so early?"

"Because I have a whole day planned out. I want to fit in as much time with you today as possible."

"What's the rush? We have forever to do stuff."

"Yeah but I want to do everything today."

"Hm... Then let me guess, bike riding and a picnic in the park? Or perhaps a romantic restaurant? Cute, but a little clichรฉ." I cringe my nose playfully. He mockingly tilts his head in return.

"Actually, no. It's three things, but I want to get to the first thing early."

"Tae, I know we agreed on two weeks but are you sure you're recovered enough to be out the whole day? The doctorsโ€”"

"For the last time I'm fine." He places his hands on my shoulders and shakes them lightly, an innocent smile playing on his lips as he says the words with exaggerated mouth movements and raised eyebrows.

"I guess I have been asking that a lot, huh?" I chuckle, "Well is there anything I should wear? You seem to be dressed all cozy."

"Don't dress up. You can wear something lounge."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes now hurry up." Taehyung smacks me on the ass when I turn around, making me swat his arm. Seeing him this serious about a date, I can't help but break into a grin once I reach the stairs.

*:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง*:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง ๐ŸŒธ

"You ready?"

"Yes yes let me see already!" I try prying his hands away from my eyes, making him hum by my ear. Wherever we are, the air is very steamy, but also fresh. I can hear water drips and splashes too. I look around when Taehyung finally uncovers my eyes.

"A hot springs?" I laugh excitedly.

"I thought after everything that happened you'd want to start the day by relaxing. I don't want you stressed later. It's the least I can do after you sat beside my bed for a week."

I stroke my thumb over his lower lip, letting an extra wide smile smear mine.

"That sounds perfect. Just what I needed in fact."

"I'm glad. I bought the place out for today so it's just us. Breakfast, massages, pampers, whatever you want, they have it."

"Mmm... That sounds nice." I slip my arms around his neck for Taehyung to stroke them up and down.

"Li."

"Yeah?"

"Don't get mad."

"Every time you say that I get mad."

With a cheeky grin, Taehyung wraps me in his arms and throws himself back, taking me down as we both fall and splash into the thick, milky, steamy lagoon water.

I raise my head with pinched lids, my hair completely covers my eyes as I try combing it away with slippery fingers. "Taehyung!!!!"

I can hear his deep laugh closing in on me. With my lids still sealed, my chin is pinched and met with wet, plump lips.

After the kiss I flutter my eyes open, trying to bare the stinging beads of water that stack between. The first thing I see is Taehyung removing his sweatpants.

"What are you doing?"

"Well I can't relax in a lagoon with clothes on." He tosses his sandals and pants over the rocks. "You should probably take yours off too so you're not uncomfortable."

The moment he says that my lips tug into a frown and I find my body slowly drifting back.

"What? What's wrong?"

Instead of answering I just stare nervously.

"...I can't."

"Why not?"

"It's just..." I clutch my soaked sweatshirt while my gaze gets lost beneath the warping water patterns.

Taehyung's eyes then soften. He tilts his head and pulls me closer before carefully hooking his hands around the hem of my sweater and pulling it over my head. Left in nothing but my bra, I gulp and look away in hopes that it'll somehow erase the fact that my abdomen is covered in bruises.

I didn't want him to see them. I was hoping that they'd fade by the time Taehyung ever saw my body again.

"This is why you're embarrassed?" He reads me like a book. Without me saying anything, Taehyung holds my waist and smothers my torso in kisses.

"If anything, you're more beautiful now than ever. I love you with and without bruises." He backs away and removes his shirt to reveal many bruises, as well as his healing gunshot wound. "See?"

I smile softly and embrace him in a heartfelt hug. There's a light sting when our wounds comfort each other.

"Anyway..." He swims backward with me in his arms until his back meets a rock. His hands begin to massage my hip gently.

"I know another way we can unwind. That is, if you want you."

His pupils are blown with lust, the aura reflecting into my very own. I feel fingers trickling up my spine to unclasp my bra before pulling off my sweatpants. He looks down as my hand slides down his perfect body and I position myself on his lap. With his hands gripped onto my hips, he fans my lips with hungry whispers,

"I'm going to show you how perfect your body is."

โ€”AFTERNOONโ€”

"So, what's surprise number two?" I ask, feeling refreshed.

Taehyung parks the Ferrari on a luxurious street consisting of white stores, palm trees and double lampposts. A Beverly Hills kind of vibe.

"Shopping."

"Oh, I like shopping."

"I know, or else we wouldn't have met." He steps out.

I follow Taehyung's lead as he strides down the colorful street and heads straight into the cream and gold Gucci store.

He walks in there so casually, but I find my feet slowing down. My head rotates around the shiny black and gold interior. Golden spotlights cast domes over shelves of pearl handbags, studded shoes and other intimidatingly overpriced garments.

True, Mina and I had a teenage shopping phase, but we never spent our money in places like this. We always preferred places that weren't filled with snobs and had affordable clothing we could pile up.

Taehyung stops and tucks his hands into his pockets. "We need to find you something to wear for later. Something for me too."

"Good Afternoon Mr. Kim. How may I help?" A middle-aged woman appears wearing a long pencil skirt and blazer, hair pulled into a neat bun. I return the bow she gives me, as does Taehyung.

"Hi. We're looking for an evening dress. Something sexy, and elegant, but simple. Not too uncomfortable either. Also, she likes satin."

"Hmm..." The lady evaluates my waist with her hands, making me jump with spread arms.

"Alright, I have something. Follow me."

โ€”45 MINUTES LATERโ€”

After the dress fitting, I was taken to the beauty bar where my hair was waved and they added makeup. When I return to the waiting room, Taehyung sits on the sectional with crossed legs and his phone to his ear.

I cough into my fist to get his attention and as soon as he sees me he hides his phone. His eyes don't leave my body, making my cheeks heat up.

"Whoa..."

"Well? How do I look?"

"You look..... Perfect. I'd love to show you how perfect again..." He reels in my waist and cradles his nose into the crook of my neck.

I playfully push him away to adjust my earrings. "No Tae, you're going to break me."

Taehyung pinches his chin and scans me from top to bottom.

"Hmm, you're missing something though." He then digs into his pocket and walks behind me.

I stand still as his hands meet in front of my chest and he delicately wraps the familiar dainty necklace around my neck. My fingertips trace the diamonds as soon as he returns in front of me.

"You brought the necklace? But I thoughtโ€”"

"I picked it up while you were in the shower. I fixed it, so you can wear it again. It was dumb of me to ever break it. I'm sorry."

I look back down and smile with my fingernail drawing circles on the center. "You have no idea how much I missed this thing."

"Is the fit good?" The stylist returns, making me spin.

"Uh, yes. Yes it's perfect."

"You have my suit right?"

"It's being touched up sir." She bows.

Taehyung nods and stretches into his back pocket. "How much will the dress be?"

"That will be $75,000 sir."

"WHAT? $75,000 for just one outfit??"

"Oh no Ms, that's 75 for the dress alone. With the shoes, jewelry and makeup your total comes up to $106,325."

My eyes crash.

"Cash or card?" Taehyung takes out a hefty wallet.

"What? No neither! There's no way an outfit can be so expensive."

"I'm paying for it."

"Well I'm not walking around in something that costs over $100k without a helmet and shin pads."

"Do you like the dress?"

"Y-yeah butโ€”"

"Then if it makes you feel beautiful, I'm buying it." He hands the woman his card without taking his eyes off me, putting strict emphasis on the last part.

I can do nothing by gulp, each ping of the cash register hurting the inner poverty in me.

โ€”EVENINGโ€”

The floor beneath my heels is hard and slightly wobbled. Every time I take a baby-step sounds like log wood.

"Are you ready for the final surprise?"

"Yes quick, show me. This blindfold is ruining my lashes."

"Okay okay." He lets go of my shoulders, making me stumble, then undoes the knot tied at the back of my head. The silky ribbon falls from my eyes and immediately my mouth falls agape.

We're stood at a pier, the almost set sun reflecting perfectly over the ocean that beds a big, spotless, glossy white yacht. There's no sounds of barking seagulls or pier bells, just the soothing rushes of sea waves. Spotlights pave the way to the stairs where a pair of men in sailor suits stand at our command.

I turn around to Taehyung with wide eyes. By the expression on my face, he cracks a smile and slips his arms around my waist. "You like it?"

"Like it?" I exceed his smile. "I've never been on the ocean before. This is... I-I have no words..."

"Let's go then." He holds out his arm. I nervously intertwine mine and we make our way up the steps.

The yacht begins to move through the sea without rockiness, making it easy to balance in my heels. The first thing I spot onboard is a singular dining table. Taehyung walks ahead to pull out a chair for me.

I can hardly believe this is the same man who was so arrogant to me a year ago. It was almost unbelievable how much he'd changed.

Once seated, a staff member immediately brings us two silver platters, only to reveal all of my favorite foods. Nothing overly fancy and some of which had me questioning how he even knew.

I watch in amusement as Taehyung fills his cheeks and chomps his food loudly. Seeing such a wealthy man all dressed up in an expensive suit eat like a 9-year-old entertained me.

"How does it taste?" He asks with a full mouth, finally remembering I was sitting across from him.

"Well clearly it's delicious." Laughter leaves my lips as I wipe some sauce from his cheek.

I dab my fork around my food for a moment while I chew, finally building up the courage to ask something that had been on my mind all day.

"Hey... There's something I've been meaning to ask you."

"Hm?"

"When do I get my old job back?"

He looks up at his eyebrows and hums in thought for a while before returning to his food.

"Never."

"Huh? Never?"

"I think I'm satisfied with where we're at. The cafe was to help others, but it also masked my past. I don't want you hiding in my mask anymore. I'd rather move on with our relationship."

"Oh." I look down at my food and nod.

"Besides, won't it be weird if my girlfriend is working for me?"

"Girlfriend?" I repeat, a blinking mess. Taehyung stares into my eyes with booming confidence.

"Yes, girlfriend. My beautiful, amazing girlfriend. And I, am your handsome boyfriend."

The statement makes me beam with rosed cheeks, his eyes not leaving my smile. I had always been nervous about giving Taehyung and I labels, but to my surprise, hearing those words out of his mouth only eased my mind. I never thought I'd be so happy to hear them.

Kim Taehyung..... My boyfriend.

"And I promise, one day we'll move in together without any worries. We'll live a normal life. I haven't forgotten about my proposal." He holds my hand over the table and rubs the back skin.

"I've watched you evolve. Standing up to people I never imagined you could, doing things even I'd hesitate to do. You've become so strong. I'm proud to call you my girlfriend."

A fuzzy smile attacks my lips as I lean forward on the table by my other elbow. He doesn't take his eyes off me. I find myself staring just to see if he'd lose interest in the gaze, but he never does.

"Hearing that makes me happy." My thumb strokes his knuckles. "I'd be lying if I said being with you didn't make me a lot of enemies. But when I hug you there's nothing else there, it's like I'm floating. And when I kiss you I can't think of anything else. Those things make me not care who hates me anymore. That's pretty reckless now that I say it aloud."

"Well, I guess this relationship wouldn't be ours if there wasn't a little recklessness." He simpers.

Having now finished our food, Taehyung pulls me from my seat and walks me towards the yacht railing.

It's then that I admire the beautiful dark blend of sky and ocean. The weather isn't cold or windy but delivers just the perfect breeze to refresh our hair. This setting, matched with Taehyung's arms around my waist makes for the perfect evening.

He softly tucks a hair behind my ear and peppers my head with kisses.

"You know... I didn't fully understanding the concept of I love you at first. *Kiss* I knew I had feelings. Strong feelings. *Kiss* But I had never experienced love before you... I gave you 100 million dollars yet you stayed with me, working at a park cafe. You didn't run away with the money. That's hard to find nowadays... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love you. And that confessing to you, *Kiss,* was the best thing I ever did."

Every peck to the peak of my head makes my heart flutter.

"My first thought when you told me that was, what does he mean? No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't understand. But I think love is expressed differently by everyone. For you, you'd break boundaries and push your own limits. But for me..."

I take in a deep breath, my arms tighten around his waist.

"Being able to sacrifice everything for the person you love.... that is what love is to me. In the strangest and most darkest way possible... I've never been this in love in my whole life."

Taehyung gently reels in my chin with his forehead resting on mine before mumbling, "I love you." Then invites my lips, smiling subtly between kisses. "I love you so fucking much."

"And I love you." I kiss back.

When we pull apart he holds me extra close. I can hear his heart throbbing against my ear. His body is so warm I can't help but absorb him as I admire the calming view in his embrace.

"You wanna know something weird?" I whisper. "That photo we took on Christmas, I can't find it anywhere."

"Then let's take another."

Taehyung turns around so that our backs are to the railing, then pulls out his phone and elongates his arm with the camera pointed at us. The pier lights bulb behind us as Taehyung says, "Ready?"

I nod and stage a peck to his cheek while he does a peace sign under his eye. Within seconds, the camera flashes.

We unfreeze to evaluate the photo and immediately my face brightens. The photo is more beautiful than I could have hoped.

Suddenly, the yacht stops.

Confusion takes over my features. I assumed we'd go full circle and return to the pier, but instead we've only drifted away.

"What's going on? Are we not going back?"

"We are. I have another surprise."

"Huh?"

Just then, two men in life jackets drive towards us on cool looking jetskis. Lights begin to pop up one after another to create a long, narrow trail back to the pier. Each bulb dances gracefully amongst the fogged, dream-like ocean.

"Ever rode a jet ski?" Taehyung asks.

"Uhโ€” No! And there's no way I'm riding one today."

"Why not?"

"Well A, I'll probably die. And B, I can't ride it with this tight dress on."

Taehyung spends a moment chewing on the inside of his cheek and looking around in thought until he finally saysโ€”

"Take off your dress."

"What? Here?"

"Yeah." He begins removing his jacket.

I do as told and remove my dress and heels until I'm left in nothing but a strapless nude bodysuit. He holds up his suit jacket and I slip my arms into the sleeves, the oversized material draping off of me like a child wearing their dad's uniform.

Taehyung swings a leg over one of the jetskis with space left at the back. "Hop on."

With hesitation, I straddle the seat behind him. My arms wrap around his torso so tightly, afraid that I'll fall despite my endless trust in this man.

I let out a small yelp when he abruptly starts the jetski and we go sawing through the ripples.

The never-ending string of lights whizzing at our sides is hypnotic and peaceful. Splashes follow behind us in the form of bird wings as we cut through the cloudy water, bouncing over the thick wave blankets while my cheek sinks into Taehyung's back and I find my mind getting lost in his warmth. I'm overtaken with the aroma of honey and cologne that emits off of his jacket. The more I bury my face in it, the more the silk caresses my cheeks. I could almost fall asleep to this. The perfect scenery.

Laughter fills the air as we make our way back to the car, my form hunched on Taehyung's back. His hands clasp around my thighs while my chin rests on his
