I leave the changing cabin and approach the girls who are invested in their volleyball game. "Score! We win!" Teddy high fives Winter.

"You cheated!" Mina points.

"Can I play?" I say nervously. The girls all pause and look at me with confused expressions.

"Uh... Lilo where's your bikini?" Mina asks. I feel their eyes trace down my outfit that consists of the same baggy white t-shirt and shorts.

"It uh..." I scratch my head and look back at Taehyung who's relaxingly lying on his sunbed. He smirks before I roll my eyes back and face the girls.

"I forgot it at home, sorry."

The girls all look at each other. "It's fine, come play with us!" Teddy says, making me smile and join in on the game.

β€”TAEHYUNG'S POVβ€”

We've been here for a few hours now, I've pretty much napped the whole time with my earphones in and hands behind my head. After volleyball, the girls went into the sea to splash around and take selfies, but Lilo didn't join in because of her clothes. I don't know where she went though. As for Chrys, she's been peacefully sunbathing next to me untilβ€”

"AHHHH!"

Two little boys come running past with water guns blazing at her, making her jump and run away screaming. I shift a little to dodge the splashes.

"Ugh, stupid little twerps!!!" She stomps while the kids flee completely. I can't help but snicker.

"Ugh, I hate kids. Why did we have to come to this stupid beach?" She scoffs and dries herself aggressively.

I pull out an earbud and reply, "You know you didn't have to come."

"Shut up, I didn't ask your opinion."

I watch as she dries herself for a while. Looking at Chrys reminds me a lot of her father, they look so much alike. She doesn't even realise how close I was to him, how much history we have. I doubt she ever would.

"So two weeks ago," I begin, "You actually went over to Lilo's house?"

"I didn't have a choice. You told me I should apologise."

"Nope, I only told you to be nicer. You apologised all on your own."

She freezes before showing me a scowl.

"W-whatever. Let's not speak of it again, she's still a street urchin." She lies back down and resumes tanning.

I look down at my feet before plugging back in my earphones and smirking to the music. Somebody's finally changing.

β€”LILO'S POVβ€”

I decided to go to the other side of the beach where it's more empty. I didn't want to get in the water and completely soak my outfit knowing I'd have to get in the car and wear it on the way home.

And after what Taehyung did today, I couldn't stand to be around him either. Because of him I got all excited to wear my bikini for nothing.

My arms wrap around my legs so that my knees are clipping my chin. I sit amongst a rock in a line of many, tossing another pebble into the sea and watching the small impact it gives. The sounds of waves, seagulls and children's laughter runs around my ears.

"Lilo?" I look up to see Jimin who takes a seat next to me, "Why are you all the way out here by yourself?"

"Oh I just... came to watch the waves and daydream I guess." I toss another pebble into the ocean.

"Oh right, you're probably thinking about Tye. You must miss him." He nods.

"Yeah. Where's Jungkook?"

Jimin points afar and I follow his finger, seeing Jungkook flirt with a group of giggling girls.

"Ah." I nod. We then fall into silence. He leans back, supporting with weight with his arms behind him and looking at me, "Is something wrong?" He asks.

"Wrong? No why?"

"You seemed so excited earlier, but now you look upset." I face forward again and sigh. "Taehyung's just being a jackass as usual."

"What did he do?"

"I wanted to wear a nice bikini today, but he ruined it for no reason."

"I see. You have to forgive Tae, he does weird stuff sometimes."

"How long have you been friends with him?" I ask out of curiosity. Jimin looks up in thought.

"Years? Can't remember how many. The three of us met in middle school and have been close ever since. But somewhere along the line Taehyung dropped out, we don't know why."

"That's so strange. What was he like back then?"

"Same as how he is now. Handsome, blunt, secretive and weird. None of us have really changed."

"Interesting..." I nod. "Jimin?"

"Hm?"

"Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

He raises his eyebrows at the question, still watching the waves hit the shore. "Why?"

"It's just that you're always hanging around Jungkook and he seems to be around girls regularly." I answer, causing us to both look up at Jungkook hugging one of the beach girls and smoothly groping her ass.

"I've had a few. None of which were serious, they were all before or during high school. There was one girl I cared about though..... But it never worked out."

"Why not?"

He sighs slowly.

"Why do you think? She took one look at Taehyung and was instantly attracted to him. We had been dating for three months, but she broke up with me and asked out Tae. Of course he said no, so she tried to run back to me."

"And what did you do?"

"I fell for it." He shrugs, "We went out for another three months. I kept bringing her gifts and taking her places, but I found out she was only using me to get closer to Tae. So I broke up with her and we never spoke again. It was really hard, despite what she did I still missed her a lot."

"That's horrible... I'm so sorry." I gaze at him while the breeze blows hair in my face. I don't bother to move it out of the way.

"I try not to fall for girls because I know it will have the same outcome. But it's fine, really. That's life. One day I'll find someone who likes me for me and not my friends. I admit it gets lonely, but I'm not like Jungkook. I don't mind not having a different girl on my lap every week, so it doesn't bother me too much."

I stare at Jimin before facing the waves again. We fall into another silence. Even though he says he's fine, I feel bad that someone so sweet with such a big heart got used so badly, and someone with the manners of a fart like Taehyung gets all the girls.

Jimin doesn't deserve what happened to him, he should be splashing in the ocean right now with a beautiful girl, but because people abused his kindness he ended up single and alone.

I want to keep apologising to him, but I don't want him to feel pitied. I just hope he finds somebody soon.

Jimin clears his throat and stands up, holding out his palm to me.

"There's a fair nearby, let's get slushies and do something. You don't need a bikini for that." He smiles, making his cheeks chub up and eyes squint into thin lines. I laugh and take his hand.

It's a small funfair on the pier of the beach, far away from the others. There's a large Ferris wheel, about six rides and a few mini-games. The distant screams of people on rides and laughing children fill the air, sugary snacks and salt whiff beneath my nose.

We both agreed to only go on a few things so that we don't get sick, we've already gone on the bumper cars, the twister and the round-about. Even though it's for kids, Jimin insisted I get a video of him riding it. It was insanely funny.

"Are you hungry?" He asks.

"Yeah kinda."

"Me too. Let's get hot dogs." Without waiting for my approval he pulls me to a tasty smelling hot dog stand.

"What would you like sir?" The man asks, Jimin holds up one finger, "One chilli hotdog please."

"One?" I repeat, "You're not getting anything to eat?"

"I am." He nods. The man presents us with a fat hotdog drenched in all sorts of toppings. Ketchup, mustard, chilli sauce and a boatload of onions. "Here you go sir."

"Thanks." Jimin smiles before we walk away.

"So where's you're hotdog?" I ask, still confused.

"We're sharing this one."

"We're sharing?"

"These hot dogs are massive, there's no way I can eat it all by myself. You don't mind right?"

I smile and shake my head, "Not at all."

"What do you want to go on now?" He asks, causing me to rotate my head around the pier for a decision.

"How about the Ferris wheel? It's nice and slow so we won't get dizzy again." I point. Jimin nods and walks towards it, but halts when I pull back his arm.

"Are you sure we're allowed to bring food on the ride?"

"Shh..." He hushes me with a cute but devious grin on his lips. We make our way to the line that seems to be made up of a mixture between loving couples and cheerful 12-year-olds.

"Look Jimin, that kids almost the same height as you."

"Watch it." He teases.

Finally we reach the front of the line, the operator lifts the bar and allows us into our seats. Somehow he didn't notice the hot dog hidden behind Jimin's back, making Jimin shoot me a naughty wink.

When we rise halfway around the wheel, Jimin lifts the hotdog from his lap and raises it between us.

"I don't have a knife or anything, so we'll have to eat it like this."

I laugh at his cuteness. We both lean in and chew our ends of the hotdog, our hands holding each side so it doesn't fall. At first I try not to make eye contact with him when my mouth is this full, but I can't help it and we end up locking eyes.

Jimin's puffed cheeks and mustard stained lip makes me snort and cover my mouth, turning away to laugh. He laughs back at my reaction, trying hard to swallow his food before talking.

"Sorry you looked so funny, like a chipmunk."

Air leaves his nose as his eyes squint as smile scarves into a wide smile. Chuckling, he brings a napkin to his mouth and wipes. "Here." He leans into me and uses the other side of the napkin to wipe ketchup from my face.

"Thanks."

"This is way better than sitting on the beach alone, right?"

I have to admit, he really cheered me up today. I've almost forgotten about Taehyung and the whole bikini situation.

"Definitely," I look over my shoulder, and suddenly realise how high up we are. The people on the peer look like little ants while the breeze in the air thickens. You can see the whole beach from up here, and even beautiful farms on hills in the distance.

"Jimin look, we're at the top."

"Oh yeah, that was fast." He looks over his side. The view of jimin smiling over the beach is one that pictures can't capture. He looks so happy to be so high up, the reflection of the waves reflecting in his eyes while his hair blows around and falls down perfectly.

"This view is breathtaking..." I sigh. Jimin then takes out his phone and starts tapping.

"What are you doing?" I ask. He proceeds to open the front camera and raise the phone high so that we're both in frame with the view behind us.

"You wanted to get at least one picture from today right? I like to take plenty of selfies, let's take one before we go back down." He throws a peace sign for the camera.

I smile playfully but only half of my face seems to fit in the frame. Jimin notices this and rings his arm around me before pulling me in close. My eyebrows shoot up at the sudden warmth and proximity of his skin.

Saying I wasn't caught off guard or flustered by this would be a lie, his toned muscles against my skin make me feel so secure considering I'm on a seat nearly 400ft in the air. He smells like a mixture of candy and coconuts too.

"Say cheese!" He laughs. I raise the messy hotdog into the frame and laugh also. "Cheese!"

The most perfect picture of us is snapped. Jimin releases me and holds his phone with both hands and a shameless smile. I lean over to get a look.

"It's perfect, make sure you send it to me." I tilt back. Jimin nods,
"Trust me, I won't forget."

The funfair with Jimin was really fun. I'm kind of sad that it's over so soon, almost not wanting to return to the others. It definitely lifted my mood by a mile, I hope we can have another day out like this.

As we make our way back something catches my eye from my left.

"Look!" I jog into the small souvenir store on our left, it's filled with knick-knacks like floaties, fridge magnets and accessories. My eyes gravitate to a super cute bracelet that has charms all over it. A wave, Ferris wheel and a love heart. All things that remind me of today.

"That bracelet would suit you." Jimin says over my shoulder.

"Yeah, I think I'll get it... Wait crap."

"What's wrong?"

"I left my purse at home. It has all of my money in it."

"Oh that sucks. I've run out of change, sorry Lilo."

"Ah it's not your fault, it's mine. Maybe next time." I sigh as we walk out. "I need to use the bathroom, I'll be right back." I throw my thumb to the toilets that are nearby, "Okay, I'll be here." Jimin nods, allowing me to go off.

β€”JIMIN'S POVβ€”

Once Lilo is gone I lean on one foot to make sure she's completely out of sight, then wander back into the souvenir store. "Excuse me sir, but how much for that bracelet?" I ask.

"$45."

"$45?! Sheesh, that's a lot for a bracelet, don't you think?" I hiss and clutch my chest playfully, fishing out my wallet.

"Oh I'm sure it will look pretty on you sir." The clerk laughs.

"Thanks Iβ€” what no! It's for my friend."

"I assumed it was for you because you have baby hands."

"You know what just... sell me the bracelet please."

The clerk inserts the bracelet into a brown paper bag and hands it over before I pay him the money. "Have a good day baby hands." My eyes squint and lip pouts at him.

As soon as I exit the store I see Lilo walking towards me. Immediate panic hits me, I hide the bag in my back pocket, making the paper pop in my shorts once Lilo gets close. She raises an eyebrow, my eyes widen tremendously.

"That wasn't a fart I swear."

She laughs at my expression, "I won't tell anyone, let's go."

"But it wasn't!"

"Sure, whatever you say."
