YOU STRADDLE MAX waist as the two of you were deeply involved in kissing, he wrapped his arms around your waist as he pulled you closer, tilting his head to give you a french kiss.

Right, after last year the both of you decided to make it official— immediately after the kiss the both of you had made it official, good news huh? that's amazing news.

Another thing is, the both of you were around each other 24/7. Not like El and mike, you both knew when to take a break and have quality time for one another.

You sit up a bit when you heard something outside the door, "did you hear that?" You asked but max was in a daze— of course the kiss that lasted 12 minutes without any air had done something to him.

"Hear what? I didn't hear anything." Max replied with furrowed brows, his hand wrapping around your waist once more as he pulled you into another deep kiss, you chuckled and kissed him once more.

Eh. Maybe the sound was just from your imagination, you'd be alright. But for now—

"Wait!" You suddenly said, pulling yourself off of Max. Max groaned in frustration, he had wanted to spend more time with you.

"We gotta go meet up with the others to surprise dustin, come on." You said and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of bed.

After arriving to Dustin's house, you were squeezed in between Lucas and max, your and el's eyes were closed as the two of you were messing with the electric toys inside the house— which were Dustin's.

You weren't overusing, max was thankful that you weren't using much of your abilities to overwhelm yourself— and the amount of time you took to practice on how to work on them, now you know how to put the metal to good use if there was any danger around.

"Now." Max whispers to you and your eyes snap opened, as well as El's. The toys stopped moving completely.

You and everyone else appeared around the corner, Lucas holding up a big sign that says 'Welcome Home Dustin!', you don't notice the hairspray can that he's holding in his hand.

Max counts down with his fingers before you blew your party horn, dustin turned around and screamed before he sprayed the hairspray in Lucas's eyes.

"Ow, ow, ow. Ow." Lucas cries slightly as the water was hitting his eyes, when he removes his eyes from the water he rubs them and turns to you and max.

"Better?" You asked with a raised eyebrow, "they're pretty red right now."

Lucas shakes his head. "Still stings." He replies as he rubbed his eyes, then he turns towards max and pointed to his face. "Is that a new zit?" he asks.

"Dude!" Max says with furrowed brows before grabbing Lucas by the head and placed his eyes underneath the cold water again. "What is wrong with you?"

"I was just asking!" Lucas shrieks as the cold water hits his eyes again.

You tilt your head with confusion when you saw the others heading towards the door, "What's going on?" you ask.

"Going to talk to Dustin's girlfriend." Will replied, your eyes widened as you locked eyes with max.

"Girlfriend?" You, Max, and Lucas, all say in sync.

You walk up the hill, your back was starting to ache as you held hands with max— he was mostly carrying the heavy weight, but he also looked exhausted himself.

"Aren't we high enough?" Lucas asks.

"Cerebro works best at a hundred meters." Dustin answers as he continued walking up the hill.

"You know, I'm pretty sure people in Utah have telephones." Max adds.

"Yeah, but suzie's mormon." Dustin replied.

"Oh, shit. She doesn't have electricity?" Lucas questioned with a raised brow.

"Oh, that's the Amish." Max corrects as he continued carrying the bag, still holding your hand as he was sweating— you were also sweating.

"What are Mormons?" Will asks.

"Super religious white people." Dustin explains as he continued walking. "They have electricity and cars and stuff, but...since I'm not mormon, her parents would never approve. It's all a bit...shakespearean."

"Shakespearean?" You hum. "That's new."

"Yeah. Like Romeo and Juliet." Dustin replied.

"Right." Max says.

"Star-crossed lovers." Dustin continues.

"We got it." Max replies.

You stop in your tracks when you hear mike shout from lower in the hill, "hey, guys!" he says.

"This is fun and all, but, uh..." Mike points to his watch, gesturing to the time.

"I have to go home." El said.

Dustin points to the top of the hill. "We're almost there." he says.

"Sorry, man." Mike replied. "Curfew." then mike turns to el and whispers, "come on, let's go."

"Good luck." El says before she turns around and takes mike's hand, walking down the hill.

Dustin checks his watch. "Curfew at 4:00?"

"They're lying." Lucas says.

"It's been like this all summer." Will adds.

"It's romantic."

"It's gross."

"It's bullshit." Dustin says. "I just got home. Well, their loss, right? Onwards and upwards! Suzie awaits!"

You groaned tiredly, taking max's hand as the two of you walked further up the hill.

"Suzie—" Dustin said for the thousandth time, there wasn't even a reply. You knew he had a girlfriend, but maybe she just wasn't able to talk to him right now.

"Dustin, come on! she's not there." Max says as she laid right beside you on the grass.

"She's there, alright? She'll pick up." Dustin replied while saying her name once again.

Will then spoke. "Maybe cerebro doesn't work."

"Or maybe Suzie doesn't exist." Lucas adds.

Dustin looked offended. "She exists!"

"She's a genius and she's hotter than phoebe cates?" Lucas questioned with a raised eyebrow, "no girl is that perfect."

Max grins. "Well, [y/n] is. she can do things phoebe cates can't do. like saving the world from impending doom."

"Okay, okay you don't have to praise me–" you say but you obviously liked the praise.

"I just did. I'm not taking it back." Max replied before shaking his head, "anyway [y/n]'s obviously perfect, and Dustin's obviously lying."

Max stood up and held his hand out for you, "come on, I'm not trying to sit here all day." You take his hand and follow him down the hill.

"Where are you guys going?" Dustin asks.

"Home." Max answers, pulling you closer to him.

You look over your shoulder. "Good luck, dustin. I hope she answers soon." You say as you gave him a gentle smile, following max further down the hill.

But, something felt off— you don't know why you were getting this feeling all of a sudden...
