Detroit ⇄ 4:00 PM.

"Yo suit case small, just grab this and pull it." I told Mason.

"I got it." He moved my hand and I grabbed mines along with my other shit taking it to the motel.

We finally made it to the room and it was way better, looked like a little house or something.

"Ouuuu." Mason squealed running to the couch.

Bet not be no fuckin bugs either.

It was only 55 per night, which was affordable . I paid for two weeks which only ended up being $770.

With the other $400 I had left just from selling, I could get us food to last another week, Mason eat whatever I eat so, that was easy then it's only two of us so, that makes it easier.

I let Mason walk around to take everything in since we would be here for as long as I could afford it.

"You can go to daycare now punk." I told him.

"I go now?" He asked.

"Ian got shit to do today, you ain't going."

"Okay, I hungry."

"You just wanna bother me." I mumbled .

I grabbed the little food we had from when we was at the hotel and put it away.

I gave him the cereal that was in the lil plastic bowl, he don't like milk so I didn't give it to him.

"Come on." I picked Mason up out the car.

I grabbed his diaper bag, today I only needed him to be here for 2-3 hours.

I knocked on the door and the same lil boy  answered the door, her son.

Some girl came from around the corner by the kitchen.

"Masonnn." She squealed and he smiled damnear jumping out my arms.

She looked about my age if not, older.

"You don't never get that excited when you see me." I mugged him.

"You his brother?"

"Nah, that's my son." I chuckled.

"Ohh."

I took his shoes off and she stood there waiting for him.

"He must like you, he don't never get that excited for nobody."

"I met him the other day, he was crying and I just held him and gave him some crackers, he didn't wanna get down after that." She giggled.

"Clingy as hell." I put his shoes in his lil cubby thing.

"Bye ugly." I kissed his forehead.

"Bye bye." He waved and held his arms out for the girl to pick him up.

"Wassup Dj." I nodded and he turned around before running to me.

"Stacksss." He hugged me.

Mason mugged us the whole time causing me to laugh.

"You ain't see me the other day?"

"No." He shook his head.

"Ight ima see y'all later." I told them and the girl just stood there smiling the whole time.

I left out getting in the car making my way to Tez crib.

Once I arrived they all was sitting on the porch. I got out the car and walked up the porch dapping them up.

"What's the move? Why y'all just sitting here?"

"We was waiting on yo hoe ass." Muwop said.

"Ight lets go." I chuckled and they got up . We got in Tez car and pulled off.

We pulled up to the barbershop seeing he only had one person left in there and the closed sign was on the door.

"What he closing early for?"

"He said he sick, I think he got corona cause he steady coughing and shit."

"Aw hell, where my mask at?" I reached in my pocket pulling it out.

"On god, the government on some bullshit, how trump ain't die but if I got up there right now with symptoms, ima be dead in a hour."

"That bitch shoulda died." Two muttered.

We got out the car with our masks on before going in and the dude got up out his chair, I'm guessing he was done.

"It's damnear a lot of shit for y'all to do, I'll pay y'all 100 a piece."

"Fasho." We nodded and he handed us our money.

"Now if this shit ain't clean, I will never give y'all another haircut a day in y'all life."

"Is that a threat?" Muwop asked.

"Take it how you want son." He chuckled. "Be walking around this bitch looking like a damn caveman."

"You dirty." Beezo laughed.

"Y'all ain't gotta worry bout my office, I gotta get my shit outta there for it to be cleaned. Just clean in here and the bathroom. I need my wi-" he just start coughing and we all frowned looking at him. "Aw hell nah." He mumbled. "Anyways , make sure the windows get cleaned, Wop know where all the lil shit go, it's a speaker over there, it's Bluetooth."

"I'm playing the music." I went by the speaker turning it on.

"Good, cause Wop be listening to Adele and shit."

"Adele be snapping." He deadpanned.

We laughed as his dad left out the shop and we start cleaning up.

"Grab that dustpan for me." I told Tez.

He grabbed it placing it down on the floor for me to finish sweeping and I did.

I dumped it out and we placed the chairs up against the wall before Muwop handed all of us some air freshener.

"The hell this for?" I looked at it.

"Right." They agreed.

"Just spray this whole thing." He shrugged.

We just start spraying the air moving around making sure to get every room .

Once we were done it definitely smelled better, we turned out all the lights before Muwop grabbed the keys to lock the door .

We got in the car and Wop locked the door before getting in and we pulled off makingthe drive back to Tez house

"Ight." I dapped them up once we was all out the car.

"I'm finna go too, tired then a bitch." Two said.

Tez and I got in my car making our way to pick Dj and them.

Once we got there we went in seeing him sitting in the same girl lap.

Dj ran over to Tez and Kelani was laying in the lil crib thing.

I chuckled as she tapped him pointing to me, he looked at me and just laid his head back down.

I grabbed his shoes as she stood up bringing him to me. "Why you acting funny?" I asked as he just looked at me sucking on his pacifier.

I took it out his mouth and he kept the same nonchalant look.

"He so mean." She laughed. "You don't wanna go home?" She asked him and he sighed before reaching for me.

"Fake ass."

"Bye Mason."

"Bye Say." He waved as he smiled.  He had a lil baby lisp.

"You know where his diaper bag is?" I asked her.

"Oh." She walked away before coming back with it.

"Right on." I grabbed it and he hugged her legs.

She hugged him back before he grabbed my hand, Tez grabbed Kelani and we left .
