Since moving into the dorms, class 1-A was having the time of their lives. It was like a constant sleepover with your friends: they were given certain freedoms in the dorms they just didn't have at home with their families.

Even though the only reason they were even living in dorms was their safety from the League of Villains, there wasn't much else to complain about. Life at U.A. had been good so far.

There was one thing that unsettled a lot of the 1-A students, however: since getting back from the training camp and the Kamino incident, the infamous friendship between Bakugou and Shinobu had seemingly come to an abrupt end.

Everyone was used to their loud conversations and violent arguments; they were both pretty hot headed people, which led to a lot of clashing but it was also why they worked so well together. Despite the fact that they were always at each other's throats, they were also always together.

So when they moved into the dorms and seemed to avoid each other like the plague, the heroes in training didn't know what to think.

"What do you think happened?" Mina had called a class meeting one night when the two had already retired to bed, uninterested in talking to the rest of their peers. "It's been like a full week of this!"

"Yeah," Sero agreed, keeping his voice low in fear of one of them hearing, "It's been really weird. Lunch has been really awkward."

"I think we should let them figure this out, guys..." Uraraka says nervously, not wanting to dig her nose into the business of her friends.

"Ochako is right!" Midoriya chimed in. "We should let them sort this out on their own. But, it is kind of weird..."

"What do you mean, Midoriya?" Mina leaned in towards the boy, who started blushing and frantically waving his arms around.

"Oh, u-uh, it's nothing really! Just...they seemed to get along fine enough the day we rescued them..." He thinks back to how happy Kou seemed when she was reunited with her friend, and how Bakugou accepted her hug when usually he'd blow up anyone who came close to him.

"That's right!" Kirishima stands up, a concentrated look on his face, "So something must've happened after Kamino but before we moved into the dorms..."

There was a beat of silence, everybody theorizing and speculating the possible scenarios that might've taken place between the two.

What had happened ?

__

It was the next morning, and everybody was walking on eggshells. Bakugou and Kou had arrived for breakfast at the same time, and the tension was palpable.

Even though the two weren't on speaking terms, they were incredibly still in sync with each other. Both friends were always pissed off nowadays, blowing up on their innocent classmates and starting arguments over the littlest things. It was a headache to be around either of them, especially when the solution to their problem was so obvious.

"Kou-chan!!! Come sit with us!" Mina's cheerful voice was heard across the room, where Kou was currently getting her breakfast.

Since her and Bakugou stopped speaking she'd been eating breakfast with Midoriya and Uraraka, Mina joining occasionally to sit with her too. Today she was back with her usual group, and eager to get Kou to come too.

The rest of the boys at the table almost spat out their food; she couldn't be serious, right? That would be the most awkward uncomfortable meal ever- not to mention potentially dangerous!

"No." Kou stated simply, going back to piling her plate with eggs. There was no way she'd be sitting anywhere near Bakugou. Not until he apologized.

The longer they spent not talking, the angrier she got. She should be the one who's mad, not him! He'd been the one who kissed her, who acted crazy and pushed her away like she was the one who did it. That was her first kiss, but you didn't see her getting all bitchy about it!

Wait. What the hell was she doing tiptoeing around him? She had nothing to be ashamed of.

If he would just grow a pair and apologize to her, she'd be more than happy to be friends again; things had been pretty boring since they stopped hanging out.

Deciding she had enough of avoiding her usual lunch group because of Bakugou's stupid self, she turned on her heels and marched her way towards their table. They were her friends too!

She places her tray on the table and tells an ecstatic Mina to scoot over and make some room for her, getting comfortable in her seat.

There was a few seconds of silence, everyone waiting to see what would happen. Bakugou was currently staring blankly at Kou, who was eating her food like nothing was wrong.

"The hell are you doing here?" His deep voice broke the silence, and everyone at the table tensed.

Kou finished chewing her toast, swallowing and glaring back at him. "What? Am I not allowed to sit where I want?"

"Not if it's anywhere near me, no."

The girl scoffed, rolling her eyes in annoyance. What a fucking prick. "Then you move."

"I got here first!" He hissed, "Nobody wants you here, so go sit next to shitty Deku or something!"

Before the rest of their friends could jump in and stop them, Kou stood up abruptly, slamming her hands on the table. She grabs him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer to face her.

"Come outside."

"The fuck?" He pushes himself off her, "Why the fuck would I go anywhere with you?"

"Get the fuck outside before I drag you there myself!" She yelled, drawing even more attention to them.

Bakugou is about to protest again, when she uses her bungee gum to drag him out of his seat, past all their classmates and out the door towards the backyard.

"Uh...should we do something?" Kaminari asks nervously, still not knowing what happened exactly.

"Fighting on school property is a violation of our code of conduct!" Iida practically races to follow them, but Midoriya puts a hand on his shoulder.

"We should just let them handle this by themselves," he smiles reassuringly, "I'm sure they'll be fine."

Meanwhile, outside Kou lets go of Bakugou and sends him stumbling away from her. He's sending her a deadly glare, but Kou is just as mad as he is.

"The fuck was that for?" He shouts, wiping at his shirt like where she touched was dirty. "What the hell is your problem?"

"Are you serious?" She laughs in disbelief. "What the hell is your problem?! You're the one acting crazy!"

"What?" He's smiling cruelly at this point, "Because I'm not paying attention to your pathetic ass? Maybe I just got sick of your shit!"

She gives into her anger and punches him square in the jaw, sending him flying back. Before he can fight back she jumps on him, causing Bakugou to stumble and fall on the ground. Kou uses her bungee gum to stick to both his body and the grass he's laying on to keep him in place as she sits on top of his abdomen.

"Get the fuck off me!" The angry blond is desperately trying to shake her off him, but she has his arms pinned down too.

"Why are you being like this? I didn't do anything to you!" She screams, letting go of one of his wrists and hitting him again in the chest.

"You're fucking crazy!" He yells back, using his now-free hands to try and hit back or at least block hers. "Fuck- fucking stop it!"

"No!" She's overcome by emotion, not caring if anybody saw what was happening, "You're such a fucking asshole!"

"Leave me alone!"

"Fuck you!" She's still hitting him; his chest was definitely going to be bruised after this. "You're supposed to be my friend! You're supposed to fucking talk to me if something's wrong, not just fucking ignore me and act like I don't exist!"

"We're not fucking friends," he hisses, grabbing hold of both her wrists in an effort to stop her from hitting him. "Get that stupid thought out of your head."

Angry tears are threatening to spill from her eyes, but Kou holds them back. "We're not friends? Really? After everything you think you can just say some shit like that and have me believe you?"

Bakugou stays silent, staring at her upset face and feeling his stomach lurching at the sight. "I-"

"No!" She stops him before he can try and lie his way out of talking to her again, "I don't care what the hell you say, idiot. We're fucking friends whether you like it or not. I wouldn't still be here if I didn't give a shit about you. I'm not letting you lie to my face when you know it's true too."

His eyebrows furrow at her words, grip tightening slightly on her wrists.

"Is this about what happened in your room?" She asks softly, and Bakugou goes on full defence mode.

"Shut up!" He yells, trying to escape her hold on him but unable to stand up with her legs stuck to the grass. "I don't want to fucking hear it!"

"Oh my god," she groans, "Are you seriously still fucking hung up on that? I don't give a shit if you kissed me! You were all depressed and shit, I completely forgot about it!"

"I don't care!" He's trying to drown out her voice, not wanting to remember his emotional slip up from a couple weeks ago.

She pries his hands off her, surprising him yet again by placing her hands on each side of his face. Before he can ask her what the fuck she's doing she leans in, smashing her lips hard against his own.

Kou doesn't know what she's doing, having absolutely no experience with guys or anything remotely romantic. It seems to be working though, because it doesn't take long before Bakugou is kissing her back, fingers weaving their way through her hair and pulling her closer to him.

This is different from last time: their lips are moving against each other in a fervent rhythm, one of Bakugou's hands slowly making their way down to her hip, rubbing small circles into her skin. Kou's heart is beating erratically, barely able to keep up with the boy's movements.

Kou didn't expect to like kissing him so much; she was just trying to show him she didn't care about something so trivial. The longer it goes on however, the more she doesn't want it to stop. The feeling in her heart had spread throughout her entire body, heating it up and leaving her skin tingling.

Eventually they had to pull apart to catch their breath, a small string of saliva connecting the two. They're staring into each other's eyes, panting slightly.

Kou leans down and leaves one last chaste peck on his lips, shuffling off him and standing up again. He's staring blankly up at the sky, trying to slow his breathing and calm down. She holds her hand out, smiling shakily down at him.

"See? It's no big deal. Let's just call it even and forget this bullshit." She's praying he accepts her offer and she didn't just make a fool of herself for no reason.

It takes him a couple seconds to gather his thoughts enough to take her hand and pull himself up.

"Fine," he says gruffly, wiping the saliva off his lips and making Kou blush furiously. "Guess I'm stuck with your annoying ass again."

"Shut the fuck up!" She laughs, punching him in the shoulder and making him shove her back just as harshly.

When the two walked back into the dining hall laughing and talking like they hadn't just had a fistfight in the backyard, their classmates didn't know if they should be happy or concerned. They didn't want to get involved.

Either way, the two were best friends again, and peace was finally restored in class 1-A. All Kou had to do was try and forget how much she liked the feeling of his lips on hers.
