Β  Β I was falling.

Nothing to stop my descent into the unknown darkness that was swirling around me.

The possibility of falling forever crossed my mind. A constant cycle of endless weightlessness.

That was until my face fell against the cold tiled floor of a hospital room.

Was it really over that quickly?

Was the raid over?

But most importantly: was Eri safe?

I felt useless. It had taken a single villain to take me down in a matter of seconds, wait what had she called me? Big sis? That couldn't be right, I'm an only child, surely I would've known if I had a younger sibling, though then again, I didn't know I had a daughter until recently.

But even then, she looked older than me, but I guess you can't judge a person on looks. I guess I'd be buying her some anti-ageing cream for our next family reunion.

I pushed myself up off the floor, feeling slight lightheadedness- reminding me of when I was getting to the end of my quirk usage.

How did I get here?

I must have passed out and been brought here.

Ugh, I really was completely useless.

It took me a moment to get my bearings and my first thought that something was wrong came from the woman sitting upright in the only hospital bed in the room, a baby in her arms.

"Oh god- I'm so sorry I didn't mean- I mean... I don't even know how I got in here, I'll just-"

My rushed apology was cut off by the sound of the door fling open, a little girl rushing towards the woman followed by a man with short h/c hair and red eyes.

"... Papa?" I muttered, standing in shock at his younger self, completely different to the father I had grown to know. "But does that...?"

"MummY!" The little girl squealed. Her hair, her eyes, everything about her was a childish version of me.

"Ow!" My body jolted as I pinched my arm, trying to see if I was dreaming or not. No-one turned ahead in my direction, making me think that they couldn't see me.

Everything felt so real.

But I didn't remember this...

"Say hello to your imouto y/n."

"Hello, little sister!" I watched as the younger me jumped up on the bed and sat next to my mum. "She lOoks like a bean! Can we call her bean mama?"

My mum laughed, it was warm and welcoming and I felt a smile tug at the corners of my mouth- the spinning thoughts I had calming just a little at the sound.

"That's a nice idea y/n, but this is Kitsu."

The baby cooed a little at her name.

"Kitsu?" I walked up to the bed, looking down at the baby.

She was tiny, wrapped in a blanket with a peaceful look on her face.

I had to agree with my younger self, she did look rather like a bean.

"Does that mean I'm a big sister?" The younger me looked at the baby with wonder in her eyes.

"Yes, y/n-chan," my dad smiled.

"I'm gonna be the best big sister! We're going to play together all the time and we can make cakes together for mama and dada and I'll protect yoU from the gross boys at school and we can..." The 5-year-old me continued to ramble on whilst my parents chuckled.

This was real, wasn't it?

This is a memory.

So why did I forget it?

I thought back to the woman who wore the silver mask, was that Kitsu?

Where did you go?
