I managed to convince Shota to drive me back to Matt and Daiki's apartment on his way to work, only after if confirmed multiple times that their apartment building had an elevator.

He still didn't like it, but he agreed. Most likely knowing that I'd be 10x more annoying than usual if he didn't let me.

I was also glad I had some time away from him. Everything had happened so quickly. It wasn't that I didn't like it, god I'd loved it, but I needed to go through everything. I'd never felt this strongly about someone before. It was kind of overwhelming.

Shota had helped me change, letting kept the shirt on considering the arm... issue... It smelt of him -lavender and coffee- making me feel safe like I was back in his arms.

Matt was free most days as he took the night shift at the hospital and Daiki was in between appointments for his estate agency firm, so not only was this a good opportunity for Matt to look at my injuries and help with his quirk but also definitely not Daikis opportunity to initiate Fondue Funday.

I was greeted by a pair of arms that went to pull me into a tight hug but were jerked back by Matt who just tutted.

"I just told you not to hug her, both of her wrists are broken."

"That's why I want to comfort her." He placed his hands gently on my shoulders, which definitely contradicted his next statement. "How are you feeling? Who hurt you? I'm ready to throw hands."

I chuckled. "It's all good, you don't have to hurt anyone for me."

"What happened?" Daiki asked, guiding me to the sofa, sitting me down and pouring me a glass of wine. He sat down next to me and Matt sat down on the opposite sofa.

So I told them about last night. How I sensed someone following me and confronted them. How they gushed about how I was a 'fake hero' and how heroes only work for themselves.

"He what? Y/n, you are the farthest thing from a fake hero."

I sighed.

"What if that guy was right? I've hurt people with my quirk before."

"Y/n, you were 6. You were provoked and didn't even know you had a second quirk." Matt looked at me.

"No Matt, it happened a few months ago when you were in France, I lost control and nearly killed someone."

Silence.

I felt my eyes start to tear up and looked down at the ground.

This was my fault, I shouldn't be crying, I'm not the victim.

"Nearly." Matt switched sofas and placed his hand on my arm. "You didn't kill anyone."

"I stole more than 50 years of his life."

"He probably deserved it," Daiki muttered.

"Kiki, you're not helping." Matt scolded him.

"What? Let's be honest, y/n wouldn't hurt anyone unless they did something to provoke it."

"But I have Daiki-"

Matt cut me off, "No. Y/n, again you were six. It wasn't your fault and your parents are fine."

Fine.

They were not fine. I ruined their fucking lives.

My parents were in their mid-20s when they had me. Now I was 25 and they were 88 and 86. In what way does that make them fine.

Like that villain, I'd stolen their middle ages in a split second.

Now-. Fuck. Now my mum didn't even fucking recognise me, and it's all because of me.

No matter how many times my dad told me not to worry about it and that they didn't blame me for it, god, I knew they still hated it. They hated the fact that I'd taken their youth away from them and I couldn't do anything about it.

"You've done everything you could've done to help them. You've given up so much for them and I know they both know it. You can't carry this guilt with you forever. So don't let that guy's twisted ideals get to you."

I was overwhelmed with yet more guilt as I heard Matt's words. The truth was I didn't have it in me to visit my parents since I had that fucking nightmare. The one where I was back in my house. The one where I remembered every single fucking emotion I'd felt.

And Matt noticed.

"Y/n, when was the last time you visited your parents?"

I shook my head and Daiki pulled me into him, letting me bury my head in his shoulder. "Matt, leave it alone, you know she's been hurting since her mum..." He trailed off.

My mum.

The way she looked straight through me like I wasn't there.

She didn't even remember my fucking name.

"Yes I know but y/n, you can't just start ignoring them because it hurts. You know you'll feel better when you go to see them."

"What's the point if she doesn't even remember me?" I whispered, making Daiki's arm tighten around me. "She can't recognise her own daughter."

Matt sighed, an apologetic look in his eyes. "Just go, you know you want to."

He's right, I did, but I was scared.

God, scared.

That word kept creeping up on me. I was living in fear of my own actions.

"Fuck, I really spoilt the mood for Fondu Funday." I laughed. Harsh and raw.

Forced.

"Y/n..."

"No, please. Let's not talk about it anymore."

"I'm going to the pharmacy to get everything." Matt nodded to my arms and walked out.

"You okay baby girl?" Daiki asked regarding me with his kind eyes.

I sniffed.

"Yeah." smiling and proceeded to chug the wine he'd poured for me.

"My kind of girl." Daiki poured both himself and me another glass.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

"So~" Daiki slurred.

"Sooooo~" I repeated.

"Matt told me who took you home yesterday."

"Ughhhhhh." I groaned, "Of course he did."

"Well. Did he confess his undying love for you?"

"He doesn't have an undying love for me."

"Pleaseeee, I can see it. In his eyes." He widened his eyes and waved his hands in front of his face.

I giggled.

"And I can see something in your eyes aaaaand you're wearing a t-shirt that definitely doesn't belong to you. What happened?"

I blushed and Daiki gasped, "No you didn't."

I gave him a terrible attempt at finger guns as he refilled my glass. We'd got out the stronger stuff now. We didn't fuck around when it came to drunken chats.

"Oh. my. gosh. Nooooo." He held out my glass for me to 'sip' from, "Was it good?"

"Heavenly Daiki. It was fucking heavenly."

He placed down my empty glass and put his hands together and started to pull them apart. "Tell me when."

"Oh my god Daiki, No!"

"You're not saying anything so there was either nothing there or his dick was sculpted by the gods himself."

"Second one."

Daiki squealed, "I bet he has a 10 pack."

"I actually didn't see that," I confessed.

"What! So he dicked you down without showing you all the goods."

"Shut up!"

"Oh, who am I kidding I doubt I'd be complaining if I was in your position."

I kicked his shin, "Hey! You're married!"

"Happily married." Daiki corrected me.

"Exactly, so stop crushing over my man."

"My man~" He mimicked me. "So it's not just a friends with benefits thing?"

"I'm not sure, we didn't really talk about that."

"Whaaaaaaaaaat?"

I shrugged, "It didn't really come up."

"As soon as you see him, you better sort this shit out. But I know he likes you, it's all in the eyes remember."

"How many times have you looked into his eyes?"

"Enough to know he doesn't just want to be your fuck buddy. It's in your eyes too~"

"Psh. You don't have to look into my eyes to realise that, I've fallen head over heels for that fucker."

"Aw~ that would've been 10x cuter if you didn't call him a fucker."

"I'll call him a fucker if I want to call him a fucker. FREE SPEECH!"

We proceeded to scream 'free speech' for a good 5 minutes before the door flung open and a pissed looking Matthew stood in the doorway.

"I knew I was gone for longer than I thought but I did not expect either of you to get plastered in just over an hour. I could hear you halfway down the hallway, do you have any consideration for our neighbours?"

"Awwww but babyyyyy, it's funnnnn." Daiki drawled.

"It won't be fun when you start throwing up in the toilet. Y/n come here."

"If I don't come back, Matt killed me!" I shouted back to Daiki who spluttered and fell on the sofa.

Matt guided me into the kitchen, "Sit down."

"Matt I don't want to drink your yucky quirk medicine," I complained.

"If you want to be able to use your arms by tomorrow you will. I know you're too impatient to wait."

"You got me there."

Soon a murky looking liquid was placed in front of me.

"I'm going to throw up."

"If you're going to throw up then throw up before you drink otherwise this isn't going to work."

I groaned. "Fine. Ok."

I counted down, mentally bracing myself for the drink.

It tasted s h i t.

I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, something like rotting fish.

Rancid.

I gagged.

"EWWW." Daiki was now in the kitchen next to me. "That smells DISGUSTING."

I shuddered.

"OHMYGOD MATT! WHATTHEFUCK!"

He just sighed, "It doesn't help that your drunk. Honestly, I thought you two were more mature."

I gagged once more and ran back into the living room, downing the remnants of a bottle of wine we'd discarded when we'd moved onto spirits.

Although I had to hand it to him, the effects were already taking place, I didn't feel the slight twinge of pain I usually did when I grabbed something.

Well, it was either the drink or the alcohol, it was hard to tell.

In a complete drunken stupor, I stared at my hands and started crying, laying down on the floor.

"Matt! You've broken her!" I heard Daiki's cry from the kitchen.

"I-I have hands!" I sobbed.

Matt loomed over me, "Jesus Christ."

"You called?" Daiki strode into the room. Or more accurately, tried to stride into the room.

"You're both children."

"I want children!" Daiki spurted out making Matt's eyes widen.

"What?"

"You heard what I said." Daiki threw his arms around Matt.

"Kiki, you are drunk, if you even remember what you just said, we can talk about this tomorrow."

He turned back to me, "Yuri's out so she can't pick you up."

"What!! With who?" I shot up.

"It doesn't matter. We need to get you home and she's out of the picture so I'm calling Eraser head."

I immediately panicked, I was a complete mess. This definitely wasn't going to work out well.

"No!" I grabbed my phone and ran around the room frantically until I ran headfirst into someone standing in the corridor, falling backwards onto the floor.

"Hey buddy, we keep bumping into each other," I mumbled to the floor, stroking it with my hand.

A strong arm pulled me up and steadied me against the wall.

"Correction." Matt walked over to me, "I've already called him."

I looked up at the figure, and sure enough, Shota was stood looming over me with his hands in his pockets and his hair casually tied back into a low bun.

God, he looks so sexy.

"Bonjour." I hold out my hand for him to shake, which he does with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"I don't know if you can tell, but they're both very drunk," Matt said apologetically.

"Alcohol!" Daiki cheered to which I started clapping my hands and whooping.

"Look, she's not going to listen so I need to give you a few things that she needs to take at 8 tonight and when she wakes up tomorrow." Matt took him into the kitchen and me and Daiki remained in the corridor, I scooted over next to him and laid my head against his shoulder.

"He came for you in your hour of need and he stayed even after you went to second base with the floor" He mumbled, "That's cute."

I snickered. "He is cute."

"Awwwwww~"

"Shush your mouth, he might hear."

"You don't care."

"Psh." I went to hit him but missed and smacked my hand against the wall. "OW! Bitch!" I hurled a range of rather flowery insults at the wall whilst Daiki encouraged me to 'beat that bitch up'. I was about to straight-up beat that smug linear fucker until I was pulled back by Shota who told me it was just a wall and it didn't mean any harm.

"This isn't over you cow!" I violently pointed a finger at the wall.

"Okay, I'm sure the wall got your message, come on y/n."

"I see how it is, siding with the wall instead of me!"

"Boooo." Daiki shouted from the floor, where Matt was struggling to help him up.

"I'm not choosing the wall over you idiot, I'm trying to stop you from breaking something again."

"Awwwwww." Daiki had stumbled over to me and put an arm around Shota, "He's protecting you."

"I don't need protecting," I stopped and turned to Shota, whispering, "Thank you. Your concern had been noted."

"Come on, I'm taking you back to your place."

"Not back to your place?" Daiki looked curiously at Shota. "That's disappointing."

"Shush up Daiki."

For no specific reason, we just looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Matt looked pleadingly at Shota, "Look, Eraser head? Eraser? I don't know what you want me to call you, but I cannot leave these two here in this state to go to work. Alone they're okay, but together? Something's going to burn down."

"You're lack of trust pains me, Matthew." I shook my head.

"Aizawa." Shota nodded to him, "And don't worry about it I can take y/n home."

"Noooo," Daiki and I whined in unison.

"Yes," Shota said sternly.

"Wait!" I said, motioning for everyone to stop with my hands, "Daiki will you marry me? Then you can't take us away from each other!"

"That's ridiculous," Matt muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Yes!" Daiki cried, "A million times yes!"

"Kiki, we just got back from our honeymoon."

"No Matt it doesn't mean anything! We just don't want to be separated." I begged.

Without any warning, I was suddenly thrown over Shota's shoulder, the blood immediately rushing to my head as I began to squeal in protest and hit his back with shamefully weak punches.

"Shota! Put me down!"

"What, so you can start a fight with the wall again?"

"If I start a fight with that bitch it's because she deserves it."

"Very persuasive. No."

I whined as the door opened.

"No! Give me back my husband!" I heard Daiki shout.

"I'll make sure she takes everything." Scarfy nodded to Matt.

"Thank you, Aizawa."

"Bye-bye!" I called out, not really sure who it was directed to as all I could see was the back of Shota's sweater.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

"What are you doing?" Shota groaned as I crawled over to my bedroom door.

I shushed him, "Matt said that Yuri was out. But there's noise coming from my bathroom." I pointed to a door across from me.

"I'm sure it's nothing," He sighed but went rigid when we heard a loud clang.

"Told you!" I whispered harshly.

"Maybe your friend is back?"

"No, because the lights aren't on! If she was home and using the bathroom, we'd see light."

"Okay, stay behind me."

"I'm drunk, not stupid."

"Could've fooled me." He muttered under his breath, to which I hit him with a floppy arm.

He just shrugged it off and walked towards the door.

"Wait!" I whispered, "Maybe I should do a knock-knock, just to check." Immediately realising that if Yuri was home, she would not appreciate a surprise visit from Eraser head whilst she was minding her own business.

"Ok, fine." He nodded.

I walked up to the bathroom and knocked three times, "Wassup babes, it's ya boy Tanakashi."

What the fuck was that?

"Y/n!" Yuri's voice squealed from the bathroom and I heard a lot of shuffling, the door opened to reveal Yuri in a large fluffy robe.

"Oh my gosh, I thought you were going to steal my hotel toiletries." I stopped, "Albeit, they were technically already stolen by me, but let's not get into the deeper meaning of tiny shampoo."

She laughed nervously.

"Ahhhhhh, big brain idea: call the baby shampoo." I grabbed her shoulders excitedly, "pros: it's unisex and the best name in the entire world, cons:... well there aren't any cons."

"You're pregnant?" Another voice came from the laundry bin in the corner of the bathroom.

Oh my god, I'm really drunk.

"Hello talking laundry bin with a familiar voice!" I waved at it and jumped backwards when I saw Hizashi's head peak out of it.

"HIZASHI'S BEEN EATEN BY THE LAUNDRY BIN!" I shouted and was pulled back by Shota, kicking and flailing, "LET GO OF MY FRIEND BIN!"

"She's very drunk." Shota said apologetically at Yuri and raised an eyebrow at Mic, "Nice bin."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before Hiz, I was building up to it." Yuri walked over to him and helped him out of the bin, he too was wearing a robe.

"It's- it's okay, just something to process."

"Well this is a revelation- wait- are you guys dating??- is- is that my robe?" I gasped, "Please don't tell me you're naked under my robe."

"Alright, that's enough y/n, how about we go into the kitchen and get some water." I found it wasn't even up for debate as I was pulled away from the bathroom and into the kitchen.

"Shota?" I asked him as he searched through my cupboards for a cup.

"If it's another question about why I haven't brought out merchandise in the form of erasers, I'm going to start ignoring you."

"No, it's not that. Although it is a good idea, maybe little goggles and scarfs-"

"Y/n." He warned.

"Fine." I sighed, "I like you. A lot. Do you like me?"

Ah, drunken confidence. You love to hate it.

I'm guessing the question took him by surprise as he stopped looking for a cup and turned to look at me.

"Do you like me?" I repeated.

"What?"

"Oh no, you're making me repeat it for the third time, you don't like me, I should've seen it coming, it was fun knowing you I'm going to go jump out of the window n-"

I was cut off by Shota's lips pressing against mine.

Passionate and grounding, just like the first time but somehow... better.

"Don't be such an idiot. Of course, I like you." He blushed slightly and quickly turned away busing himself with looking for a glass again. "Jesus, why are your cupboards so confusing."

"Shota?"

He stopped again.

"A lot?"

He turned and smiled, "A lot."
