"Don't worry sir and mam we will try our best to make sure that your daughter gets justice."

"Beta, you don't know what huge favour you are doing to us." her lips trembled

"Beta, thank you so much for taking our daughter's case. We have reached so many lawyers before but they all denied because of the influence of the minister." Mr Sharma said, folding his hands

I immediately put his hands down and motioned my assistant to give them water.

"Sir and mam you both are of my parents' age and are just like my parents to me. Please don't embarrass me." I pleaded

"Beta we have lost all the hopes of our dead daughter getting justice. Our previous lawyer whom we hired earlier was corrupt. Before two days of the court session, he left our case saying he can't fight for the wrong person and our daughter's death was just an accident." Mrs Sharma cried

I know about that lawyer, he has been offered a huge sum of money from minister Radhey Solanki to drop the case. I don't believe that corruption has grown so much in our country that innocent people's lives are at stake. These ministers, lawyers and officers can stoop so low that for some money they have erased pieces of evidence and turned all the witnesses against us.

'Aarti will get her justice mam.' I said looking at the garlanded photo hung on the wall

'I guess it's time for us to leave. We will contact you if we need your help.' I said while signing my assistant to pack her stuff

When we were about to move towards the door, I noticed a bottle of pills placed in the cabinet.

"Mam do you know whose pills are these?" I asked while picking up the bottle in my hand

"Yeh Aarti kii haii. Pichle saal jab voh yaha rehne aayi thii, tab yaahi bhul gayii thii." She answered

"Kis cheez kii pills haii yeh, do you have any idea?" I inquired while raising my brows

"Aarti was pregnant at that time. Her mother-in-law gave her those pills, saying it will provide nutrition to both child and mother."

Hmm, Nutritious Pills for child and mother, interesting!

'Do you mind if I take those with me?" I asked

"Is there something wrong with them? Did they give her the wrong medicines?" Her father sounded frightened

"Naahi naahi sir." I lied. "My sister-in-law is also pregnant so I thought to buy the same pills for her. If you don't mind."

"Aree koii baat naahi beta, le jao. Please congratulate your sister-in-law and brother from our side also." Mrs Sharma said

I nodded while giving them a small smile and placed the bottle in my bag.

.

.

.

"Ridhi, visit the hospital where Aarti's pregnancy treatment was going on and collect all the details from there."

She give me a confused look and said, "But mam, Aarti had a miscarriage because she had slipped from the stairs and we have the report with us also."

"Ridhi I know but the reports also said that she was not healthy enough to carry the baby. The doctor has warned her so many times about it. I want you to collect the reports from there yourself because we can't trust the report given by her in-laws."

She nodded and left from there.

I took out my phone and dialled a number, "Hello Anshu"

"Hello Mumma" came an excited voice

My heart melted hearing his voice, mera bacha.

"Hello, Kiyu. Where is Mamu?" I asked

"He has given me his phone to play games. He is doing holmwork varna Mamu teacher shcold him." He answered worrying for his mamu

"Accha, but Kiyu will save his mamu from getting scolded na. He is a big boy now and will help his mamu."

"Yesh Mumma Kiyu big boy, he will help Mamu." He intimated in an elder voice which made me chuckle at his antics. "But Mumma you said the teacher only scold us when we make mistake. If mamu complete his holmwork his teacher not scold him," he added while clapping his hands

I laughed hearing his logic and feeling happy at the same time that he remembers what I have taught him.

"Kiyu Mumma has to talk about something important to Mamu, can you please give the phone to him?"

"Ok Mumma!" he replied. "Mamu, Mumma wants to talk to you," he said while handing him the phone

"Kiyu you go and solve your puzzle, then we will eat Icecream." came a hushed voice from the phone

"Okie" Kiyu whispered back giggling

I shook my head at them, "Ansh you are not going to give him ice cream, you know na he catches a cold very easily." I reprimanded

"Chill na meri Bheem, Ek scoop se Kuch naahii Hoga." he chuckled

I mentally smacked his head for giving me that stupid nickname, "You need to stop calling me that." I grumbled

"What? Bheem or meri Bheem?" he asked in a teasing voice

"Ha ha very funny," I replied sarcastically while rolling my eyes

"I know it's funny," he replied in a smug tone

I am dammn sure he must be raising his imaginary collars right now, dafoos.

"Acha leave it. Why have you called anything important?" he asked in a serious voice

"When are you coming to drop Kiyu? Actually, I have to tell you something."

"I was thinking to come in the evening. Kuch Hua haii kya, serious matter haii kya?" he asked with worry lacing in his voice

"It's related to the case that I am fighting," I answered

He made an 'oh' sound and replied, 'Mein aata hu phiir, wait.'

'Ok.' I answered and hung up the call.

── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

'Argh! Stop! your honking won't turn this red light into green.' I yelled at the person behind me honking his car horn

But did he listen, take a guess!

No, he didn't in fact he started to honk more loudly.

It seems like he has learned how to drive a car but forget to learn about traffic rules.

Ughh, this man is going to be killed by my bare hands.

You are a lawyer Yashaswini, you can't kill anyone. Your job is to make people go behind the bar not yourself going behind the bar.

'Inner Conscience not now, I am already irritated.' I warned

Freaking Finally!!

The signal finally turned green and all the vehicles started to move. Thank God I got rid of that idiot.

As I turned towards the street, I heard the roar of motorcycles coming, at full speed.

There are total 3 motorcycles and they stop at the food truck standing there.

I immediately park my bike in the parking space and take out my helmet.

I marched towards them and asked, "Show me your licence you three?"

They looked at me and one of them replied, "Are you a traffic hawaldar that you are asking for our driving license?"

After hearing him the other two laughed and patted their friends back.

I am sure these three are not more than 17 or 18.

"Well I am not a traffic hawaldar but I can make sure that if you don't show me your licences right now, you three will land in the police station." I retorted giving him a tight-lipped smile

They started chuckling nervously and sweat buds started to form on their forehead, "We were just joking didi, don't take it seriously."

I folded my arms and narrowed my eyes at them, "That's on me whether I take it seriously or not. Show me your licence."

"We didn't have a licence."

I heard one of them mumbling slowly under his breath.

"Ohh you must have forgotten that at home no worries. Tell me your ages." I asked raising my eyebrows expectedly, waiting for their answer

"17" "16" "17"

I heard three different responses, "Ok, where is your helmet?"

When they didn't reply to my question I asked again patiently waiting for their answer.

"Woh we have just come to eat momos so we didn't bring it with us."

I scoffed and mocking said, "Yaa after all your hairstyle would have ruined, right." while giving them a sarcastic smile

"Do you people have any idea how dangerous is rash driving?" I asked them quietly trying to control my temper

They didn't reply instead kept their head hung low, "Have you ever thought if something happened to you, what will happen to your parents?"

I chuckled bitterly, "Obviously you didn't. I understand in this age we find this stuff really cool but is it more important than your life? Is it worth it?"

They murmured a quiet, 'no' in response. "I am myself a bike racer but I only exceed speed when I am in the racing field, not on the freaking streets or roads." Their eyes widened for a moment and they looked at me in surprise. I ignored it and continued, "There are so many pedestrians walking on the street." I point at the old couple walking sideways on the road. "God forbid but if some accident might happen, what will you do?"

"Agar tum 2-minute late pohonchonge kuch nahii bigad jayega but if you drive at full speed, anything can happen. Do you want to stake your life or get late by 2 minutes? The choice is yours."

I turned to leave from there but then I heard them saying 'sorry', "We are sorry didi, we will drive carefully from now on."

'Good' I replied while nodding at them. They were still looking down with their faces reddened, 'Ab yeh sadi si shakal na banao, momos khao jaake apne.'

I am glad that they understood and will remember it. I know I was strict but they need to listen to it otherwise they will continue driving like that. Hopefully, they will put some sense into their other friends also.

── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

I sighed as I entered through the gates of the society. I parked my bike in my usual parking spot and strolled toward the building.

I noticed a familiar figure standing there doing something on phone. His back was facing toward me. I tapped on his shoulder which made him turn around and the frown on his face morphed into a smile, 'Hey, Yashaswini.' he greeted

I reciprocate his greeting, 'Hey.' giving him a gentle smile in return

He looked at me and asked while raising his eyebrows, 'Madam, Kaha busy ho ajkal I have come here before 2 weeks also and you weren't there.'

'Work' I shrugged and asked, 'What are you- Wait.' I stopped in the middle and my eyes widened, 'What are these flowers doing in your hands? Don't tell me you have found someone in our building.' I said while pointing to the flowers in his other hand

He was about to speak something but I cut him off, 'Trust me Aunty and Aadhii will be over the moon when they get to know that their ever workaholic son/ brother has finally found someone.' I teased while giving him a sly smirk

Well, Aunty and her 'Putra Rishta Abhiyan' is a worldwide program now and poor Shreesh always become a scapegoat for this program.

He facepalmed and groaned, 'Not you too Yashaswini. My mother is already behind me, showing me hundreds of girls' photos. Now you please don't start.' he pleaded

I laughed looking at his despair and raised my hands to pinch his cheeks which made both of us freeze in our respective places.

Oh Shit!

A blush rose to my cheeks and his ears turned red. We looked at each other, our eyes wide in shock.

Way to make things Awkwards Yashaswini!

I broke eye contact and started to look here and there. He cleared his throat and said, 'Woh I have found these flowers in front of the apartment gate.' he pointed at the flowers.

My brows furrowed, and I asked him to show me the bouquet.

'Here.' he handed me the bouquet and I saw a small note present between the flowers.

I opened the note and my eyes blazed with anger seeing the note.

'All the best for your case Lawyer Sahiba. -R.s'

I curled my fists tightly and take a deep breath.

This minister is so going to be thrashed by me.

If it's in my hands I will make him my punching bag.

'Who is R.s?' Shreesh's question brought me back from my thoughts

'Radhey Solanki.' I replied gritting my teeth. 'I am fighting a case against his family.'

'Have you received these notes before also?' he asked

I nodded still looking at the note in my hand.

'But isn't he in the jail right now?' he rubbed his hand over his chin in confusion

I looked at him, 'He has sources Shreesh.' and replied nonchalantly. 'He himself has told me that he is the one who sends me the notes and has threatened me to back out from the case.'

.

'Have you received my blessings Lawyer Sahiba?' he asked with a crooked smile

'What.' I took a deep breath trying to control the irritation I feel by seeing him. 'Are you talking about Mr Solanki?'

He chuckled slowly, 'My notes Lawyer Sahiba.'

I looked at him baffled and he passed me a sly smirk in response.

I give him a murderous look which made him scoff. 'I am warning you Lawyer Sahiba to back out from the case if you love your,' He looked at me and spoke in a low dangerous voice, 'and your son's Kiyaan life.'

I froze hearing the mention of Kiyaan.

'All the best Lawyer Sahiba.' saying this he moved outside with police officers

.

.

'Yashawini' I feel a hand on my shoulder. 'Does anyone else know about it?' Shreesh asked

I shook my head in denial, 'No one knows about it.'

'Have you-

'Mumma.' he was cut off with an exciting squeal coming from behind us

I threw the bouquet on the ground and put that note in my pocket. I masked my emotions putting on my cheerful smile, 'Kiyu, Mumma missed you.' I said while picking him up in my arms

'Kiyu also missed Mumma itna Saara.' he opened his arms wide to show how much he missed me

I looked at him in 'aww' and placed a sloppy kiss on his cheeks which made him frown.

I laughed at his scrunched nose and pulled his cheeks, 'Mumma nahi na.' he pouted rubbing his cheeks.

'Hello, Champ.' Shreesh waved at him to which Kiyu slithered from my hold and hugged his legs. 'Sheesh Uncle' he exclaimed cheerfully

Shreesh squatted at his level and fist bumped with him, 'How are you Champ?'

'Aweshom.' he replied showing his 32 teeth on display. Shreesh ruffled his hair and pick him up.

'Hey, Bhaii. Aap yaha Kaise?' Ansh asked while giving Shreesh a bro hug

'I have come here to drop Chotti's scooty.' he answered to which Ansh frowned and said, 'Yaar why did her scooty got repaired.'

I agree with you bro.

Shreesh chuckled at his complaint, 'If she hears this, she will not spare you, man. This scooty is her lifeline.'

'Bhaii do one thing take this away with you and tell her that it didn't get repaired.' he suggested to which Shreesh raised his hands in surrender, 'I am out of this.'

'Champ. I have something to show you, let's go.' Shreesh told Kiyaan who was busy playing with Shreesh's shirt button

He looked at me, 'Mumma.' to ask for permission and I blinked my eyes smiling at him.

'Okiie, let's go Sheesh Uncle.' he said while clapping his hands in glee

Shreesh smiled at his excitement and put him down. He entwined their fingers and left from there.

.

I feel an elbow propelling on my shoulder, I glared at the owner of the elbow who thinks that I am a freaking weight holder.

He smiled sheepishly and asked, 'Kya baat Karni thi?'

'Pehle insaano ki tarah khada ho jaa dafoos.' I give him a stinky eye which made him roll his eyes

I take out the bottle from my bag and handed him, 'What are these pills used for?'

He examined the bottle's label and then opened it. He takes out some pills on his palm and sniffs them. After analysing them for a while he looked at me and said, 'The pills are changed from the bottle.'

I knew it! I Freaking Knew It!

This could be major proof against them. 'Ansh can you please give me a lab report of this medicine?'

'I will go to the hospital and will get the reports.' he said while putting the bottle in his pocket

'Thank You, Anshu and sorry yaar for disturbing you.' I said while giving him a side hug

He narrowed his eyes at me and said, 'Yashuu aise na bol yaar, you were the one who was always there with me when Mumma Papa died. You, Mamu and Mami supported me and helped me Yashu. You are just like my real sister and for you, I can do that much. But haan I will never stop irritating you.'

I wiped the tear that was falling from his eye and said, "You are born to irritate us Anshu."

He kissed my forehead and said, 'Take care, I will get the reports.'

.

.

.

"Aree Shreesh there's no need to give him chocolates. He has eaten so many chocolates this week." I said looking at the chocolate bag in Kiyu's hands

"I was bringing chocolates for Chotii so thought to bring for Kiyaan and Vrishtii also. I didn't bring it for you because I know you don't eat chocolates," he replied

'But still Shreesh, he will get tooth decay.' I tried to explain him

"Don't worry Yashaswini I have told him to eat only one chocolate a day and brush his teeth after eating them. Haina champ?" he asked him who was clinging to him like a monkey

'Yesh Mumma. I will brush my teeth and eat only one chocolate a day.' he looked at me making an adorable pleading face which I, unfortunately, can't resist

'I swear you all are spoiling him.' I shook my head and raised my brows at Kiyu, 'What do you say Kiyu when someone gives you a gift?'

He bite his tongue and passed us a sheepish smile, 'Thank You Sheesh Uncle.'

'Welcome Champ.' he replied. 'We still need to talk about those notes Yashaswini.' he said in a low voice

"Don't worry Shreesh I will handle them. It's not the first time I am facing this situation.' I whispered
