IT MUST HAVE BEEN HOURS. OR MAYBE ONLY MINUTES. Olivia had lost track of time, but eventually, Lily regained back consciousness and the chaos outside finally stopped. The two women barely talked. Lily didn't ask questions, a fact Olivia is immensely grateful for. Instead, the two of them sat side by side, both staring at nothing with their heads filled with the friends they left behind.

Olivia thinks of James, of his unconscious body laying on the floor and she feels her heart plummet to her stomach. She thinks of Sirius, Kat, Remus and Peter. Are they okay? Are they hurt? She thinks of Amara and Samuel? When did Samuel even get here? Did the other death eaters see him protect Olivia? Did he stay or did he go back with them? God, she hasn't seen her brother in so long and this is the kind of reunion they get. What about Amara? Is she okay? Olivia knows that she and her sister are not on the best terms, but she'd never want Amara to be harmed.

In a cycle of self torment, her mind goes back to James then to her friends and her siblings. It repeats in her head again and again with no sign of stopping.

Until finally, the sky turned into a bleak grey and they heard the desperate call of no other than James Potter and immediately, Olivia was on her feet and pulling the door open. "James!"

As soon as he heard her voice, James quickly whipped around and before she knew it, she's being pulled into his arms.

"Oh, God," he muttered as he planted a long kiss on her hair. "I was so scared. God, I was so fucking terrified. I thought something happened to you. I thought--"

"I'm okay," Olivia reassured him softly, hearing the cracks in his voice. "We've been hiding here waiting for it to end. Is everyone okay?"

James nodded as he finally pulled away, holding her face with his hands as he pushed back the strands of hair that fell. His eyes seemed to be scanning for injuries which weren't hard to find considering the bleeding gash on her left cheek and the tear in her shirt that showed the bruise a size of a plate above her hip, the one that Lily had healed.

"I'm so sorry, baby," he says genuinely, kissing her forehead. "I should have been there. Fuck, I'm so sorry."

"I'm okay," she repeats. "We got out and hid here. Are you okay?"

James didn't get to answer as another voice called for her name and before she knew it, she's ripped from James and into another pair of arms. This time, it was so so familiar that Olivia found herself holding on a little tighter, yet one she hasn't felt in a long time.

"Hey, baby sis," Samuel muttered by her head as he hugged the younger girl tighter.

Seeing that the siblings were still having a reunion, James gave them space by going to Lily, who was leaning on the cabin door, unable to hold herself up, her face completely drained of color and her hair a frizzy red mess around her.

"Lilypad," James greeted, putting the redhead's arm around his shoulder to help her walk.

"Toerag," Lily said with a forced smile as her eyes went to where Olivia stood with her brother. "Is Olivia okay?"

"She says she is," James says. "I'll still have madam Pomprey check on her, though. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. A little drained is all." Lily nodded, lying right through her teeth. "She had a stab wound on her side. I used Reperifors, but you should check if there's internal bleeding."

Instantly, worry clouded James' face and his head whipped to the woman carrying his two children. He wanted to run over to her and check himself, but he knows that would be impossible. For now, he'd have to calm down and wait till they reach the castle.

"Thank you," he told Lily genuinely, knowing what the healing spell does to the witch who casted it. It drains their energy, taking a little bit of their magic to pass to the person in need. James had never tried it, but he's heard how tiring and difficult it could be.

"She told me," Lily said quietly. "About the babies."

James sucked in a breath, and for a moment, panic filled him, but James forced himself to push it down. Olivia had decided to do it and he'd have to trust her judgment. In fact, he's known Lily Evans to be kind. He's certain she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize his family.

"Please don'tβ€”" he started, about to ask her to keep their secret, beg if he had to.

"Don't worry," the redhead interrupted before he could say anything else. "I won't tell anyone."

"Thank you," he repeated, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as they started what felt like a trek to where Olivia and Samuel stood. In reality, it was only a few steps, but Lily had drained all of her energy and was solely relying on James to keep her upright.

"Are you okay?" Samuel asked the redhead kindly. Lily could see the dark mark peeking under the sleeves of the denim jacket he wore, and for a moment, Lily wanted to grab Olivia and run away, but she knew she could not. And she knew James was there. He wouldn't let anything happen to the woman carrying his children. Olivia's safety was no longer in her hands, but back to the Gryffindor boy who was quick to wrap a protective arm around the Slytherin as soon as Samuel placed Lily's arm around his shoulder.

"I think so," she answered truthfully, seeing the look of sincerity in the older Kinsley's eyes. "I'm so tired."

Samuel nodded, glancing back at his sister to see her safely tucked under James' arm. "Alright. Let's get you two back in the castle."

Lily could only nod before the man had hoisted her up the chariot she hadn't even noticed was there. She finally relaxed once her butt touched the soft leather of the chariot's seats, knowing that in that moment, everything was okay.

She's safe, Olivia's safe. And truly, that's all Lily Evans could ever ask for.

"YOU'RE ALL GOOD," MADAM POMPREY ASSURES THEM. "But I suggest taking it easy for now. You need to let your body heal."

Olivia nodded her head in understanding, hearing some of Sirius groaning and grunting in pain from the wards next to hers. The hospital wing was filled with injured students, including the three other Marauders, Kat and her sister, but she's been informed that it's nothing that a little healing charm and potions can't fix to stop her from worrying.

"How about her bruise?" James asked worriedly. "Is it okay?"

Madam Poprey nodded in response. "It seems Ms. Evans was able to completely heal it. I'd give her a potion for the bruise, but I'm afraid it might react badly to the children. Initially, pregnant women should not be consuming different kinds of liquid and I already gave her one to heal her wound."

"But there's nothing to worry about, right?" James asked again, wanting to be a hundred percent sure. "The bruise will heal."

"It will, but we'll let it heal naturally so it might take a few days."

"Thank you, truly," Olivia says, genuinely thankful for all the things the mediwitch has done for them.

Madam Pomprey only smiled in response before exiting the ward, a curtain paired with a silencing charm giving them the privacy they needed.

"So," Samuel started, having already changed from his dirty clothes to one of James' cleaner ones. "Pregnant?"

Olivia raised an eyebrow. She adores her older brother, she truly does. She had been too shocked with seeing him earlier that all she felt was happiness for finally seeing him again, but now when everything is already calm and there's no longer any apparent death in their lives, her true emotions set in.

Samuel is a death eater. There was no changing that and she can't just ignore it too. She has things she needs to protect now, and if Samuel is a threat to her and her babies, he needs to go.

"Did you voluntarily join him, Sam?" She asked. It was a question that's plagued her mind for years now, but each time she goes back to the manor, Samuel was not there for her to ask. Perhaps a part of her had convinced itself that Samuel had been forced by their parents. It would be easier then. Easier to forgive him after he broke all the promise they had made.

"Yes," Samuel answers with a straight face, his eyes not leaving hers. "I did. No one forced me to."

No one missed the way James inched closer to Olivia, his hand burying in his pocket where he's no doubt clutching his wand.

While the girl can only bury her face in her hands, suddenly feeling extremely drained.

"Why?" She asked, her voice hoarse. "Why would you do that, Sammy?"

Samuel's expression did not change as the words tumbled out of his lips. "For Maxwell."

With that, Olivia lifted her head from her hand to meet his eyes. "For Maxwell? You honestly think Maxwell would want you to join a cult? Or did you want to follow his footsteps?"

James could not help but hear the pain in both siblings' voices. He could hear the crack that had been due to the death of their brother. He almost found it ironic how loud a broken heart could be.

"After he died, I joined the order," Samuel continued. "Dumbledore needed a spy, someone from the inside to inform him of their plans, and who's better than the one who was born and bred to be like them?"

"What?" Olivia asked, her brain processing the words. "You joined the order?"

Samuel nodded, taking a step closer to her. "I did. Amara and I did after what they did to Maxwell. We wanted justice, Olivia. I want justice."

"You'll die," she said helplessly.

"Then so be it, but I'll be taking that motherfucker with me."
