-weeks later

"Won't you share my worllddd" Jamie sung her little heart out .

"Girl go to hell" I waved her off fixing my shades on my face "Bitches tryna get away from the bullshit and here yo ass go."

"Mmcht , I miss my boyfriend." She pouted.

"Must be nice." I mumbled sitting back on the pool chair and she sat on the one next to me.

She sucked her teeth and made that 'bitch really' face at me "You know you can get back with A-"

"Aht aht , no ma'am this cooter belongs to one person and that's me. That's all niggas be wanting anyways. " I cut her off. .

"Lord" She sighed laying down "So you finna be dick deprived this whole time?"

"If I have to be" I shrugged and she started laughing "What's funny?"

"You , knowing damn well when Amari come around you not able to control yourself around him."

"It's not even like that anymore..." I waved her off focusing back on my drink I was sipping on .

"G-Oop bae calling I'll be back" She quickly got up and walked toward the hotel making me shake my head .

"Excuse me ma'am" I heard from behind me making me turn around . A middle aged women was smiling at me causing me to return the gesture .

"Yes?"

"I love that bathing suit where did you get it?"

"I got it from a friend back in Atlanta , her collection hasn't released yet. " I told her sheilding my eyes from the sun and she nodded .

"Tell her that I said she makes beautiful swimwear and I can not wait for her to drop it." She told me making me smile .

"Will do"

"You have a nice day"

"Thank you , you too. "

"Who was that?" Jamie came back in the area .

"Ion know" I shrugged "She just complimented my swim suit. "

"Aww.."

"You ok?"

"No"

"You better n-"

"I miss my boyfrienddd. "

Soon enough I heard a familiar voice in the distance making me mentally face palm myself .

"Baby!" Jamie exclaimed running up to Pierre or 'Jackboy' as he walked through the pool area making me sit up and grab my cover up beginning to put it over my body .

Since they were a little far I continued to walk to the room , we weren't sharing a room because the rooms only had one bed and in her words 'I sleep wild' .

Leaving the door to shut on its own I sat my towel down on the couch and proceeded to walk to the bedroom to get dressed for dinner but was interrupted by a knock at rhe door .

Please dont let this be Amari .

"Mmcht" I closed the door back and he stopped with his foot walking in and walking toward me making me flintch .

"You good?"

"Uh.." I trailed off put on a fake smile "Yeah I'm fine"

"No you aint talk to me. " He sat on the bed and layed on his back .

"Why are you here?"

"Did you not you see me walk in witcho yo bestfriend nigga?" He squinted at me.

"Amari ion have time for this bullshit" I waved him off walking toward the door feeling his arms around my waist and he pulled me toward him. I didn't have a choice but to start crying . He started wiping my tears .

It's a really weird thing about our relationship . It was like since we met , I would become vulnerable around him . He always had that effect on me .

"N'Ace you good?" He asked me and I shook my head . "Talk to me"

Amari brought out the bad side in me , he didn't know me as Nari . That was another reason I did not like people calling me that . N'Ace , would get into fights , drink , smoke . Shit I even set somebody up for him and got shot at .

But at sixteen I thought I was inlove , and no one knows about what happened when we were together but his mom . I think that's why she didn't like me , because I let him control me , especially at such a young age .

"You hear me?"

I nodded sniffling "Ye-yeah I heard you. "

"Cmre" He pulled me on his lap .

"I was dealing with this guy , at first it was just him kinda stalking me trying to get money off of my friend because she stole it from him . But he gave me head the first time we me-"

"What?"

"Amari I was in a bad place . I was still getting over you" I continued.

"So we were messing wit eachother for some time" I let out a breath after getting myself together "But before him I met this other guy , and I actually like him."

"Don't wanna hear that..." He mumbled making me laugh .

"Imma just skip to the end , a couple of weeks ago he beat the hell out of me and I shot him . I blacked out and ended up in the hospital meeting my mom-"

"Nobody was there to help you?" He asked me making me shake my head "All them niggas you hang around and nobody was there when you needed them the most" He shook his head.

"On top of that prior to me getting my ass beat the dude I met went to jail and I was asking my dad to bail him out."

"Damn he gotchu like that?" He laughed and I shook my head

"That's like my bestfriend , like we're more close than me and Taurus . But my dad was like no . He called me a hoe and shit like that it was a lot . I just feel like nothing I do is good enough for him."

"Everybody not gone understand you and that's ight . Some things ain't for everybody to understand. As long as you doing what you wanna do , than you good" Hs kissed my cheek making me smile .

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Sitting down and talking to me..I haven't vented to anybody in a while."

"You like to distance yourself maybe that's why."

"But this time it wasn't me , everybody's just not the same as we used to be."

"I didn't think they were those people though."
