A few weeks have passed since Moni left her mother's house to live with Shawn. She regretted moving out without being able to see her one last time, but she couldn't take any more risks. Not a day went by without her thinking about her or what she was up to.

Moni didn't go to school. Shawn made arrangements with
Blanche High so that her classes were now online. He didn't want anything to happen to her again, so he took every precaution that he could.

Shawn was still involved in the game, but he wasn't as active as before. He wanted to make sure that he had time for Moni. And now knowing that she was pregnant with his unborn child, he had to be there for her.

When Moni found out she was pregnant, her heart sank. Not only was she young, but she wasn't ready. She didn't have a job and never tried looking for one because Shawn was always buying her things and taking care of her. She didn't want to turn to abortion. Her mother could've aborted her but didn't, so why abort her future child? She sucked it up, and promised to herself that she'd do all that she could to take care of the child that was growing inside of her.

Moni sat criss-crossed on the bed with a light pink, HP laptop sitting in her lap. She was wrapping up a couple of class assignments that were due later in the day. She was wearing one of Shawn's oversized shirts and white knee high socks. Her hair was wrapped into a messy bun.

"So, let's see what I have to turn in next week," She muttered to herself as she scrolled on the web through her assignments.

Shawn walked into the room and flopped down on the bed next to Moni, playfully grabbing her and kissing her all over her back and shoulders.

"Nigga, let me do this work," She chuckled, trying to wiggle free from the hold he had on her. "I gotta stay on my game."

"You always on your game, bae," He mumbled softly into her neck. "Just vibe."

"I'm always vibing," She said, frowning. "What you mean?"

"I don't know," Shawn teased. He and Moni laid on the bed for a little minute before he continued. "So, you ready to be a mom bae?"

She looked over at him, took a deep breath before responding. "Yeah, I think I am."

He rubbed her flat belly, and put his face towards it as if he was speaking to it. "Junior, yo' future momma ready."

"Baby, shut up," Moni said as she playfully mushed her finger in his head. "How you know it's gone be a junior?"

"Cause I just know," he replied, grinning. She rolled her eyes and laid back in the bed. Seconds later, Shawn's phone abruptly rang, interrupting them. Moni looked at him cautiously as he looked at his screen before answering, she then rolled her eyes when he picked up the call.

"Yo?"

"Aye, man what's up?" Rick greeted.

"Nun, just chilling," He replied, looking over at Moni.

"Wanna smoke some dope with me? Jah gone be here too," He asked. Shawn then heard Kit scolding her son in the background because he dropped food on himself.

"Wait a second, I'm finna be right back," Rick said before giving Shawn time to reply and placing the phone off to the side. Shawn heard him cursing his baby momma out about yelling at their son for the littlest shit. He didn't even bother to mute the call.

"Dumb ass bitch, I'm gone leave soon," Rick yelled angrily at Kit, before returning back to the phone. "You still here man?"

Shawn chuckled, finding Rick and Kit's situation funny as fuck. "Yeah, I'm down. I'm gonna be there in a few."

"Alright man," Rick replied before hanging the phone up.

Shawn diverted his attention back to Moni, who was shaking in her head in disappointment. She then slightly moved away from him, turning around so that her back was faced to him.

"Yo, what's wrong with you?" Shawn asked as he grabbed her hand, but she jerked it away from him.

She turned her head over to the side. "You're what's wrong. We living together and got a child on the way and you still involved in the game. Like, when you gonna leave that shit alone?"

"Bae, I'm just going to smoke with Rick and Jah," he answered. "I can't hang out with my niggas?"

Moni studied him for a little bit. "Are you sure?"

"It's gone be a quick run," Shawn assured her as he got up from the bed and walked over to the dresser, where he started to change his clothes.

"You better be back," She demanded, folding her arms. "Cause if you not, tuh."

"If I don't?" He questioned playfully, walking over to the bed and leaning down to kiss her lips. "I will bae, you don't gotta worry about me."

She kissed him back then pulled away. "Alright, be careful."

"Trust me baby, I will," He said before disappearing out of the room.

Shawn pulled up to Rick's baby momma's house within 20 minutes. He hopped out of his car and strutted to the front door. He knocked on it 3 times and when he was going to knock on it again, Kit opened it, holding Demari on her hip. She was wearing an all black silk robe and black Fenty slippers. Her hair looked like shit and she looked like she didn't get any type of sleep with her red eyes.

"Well, look who's here," She said, plastering a fake smile on her face as she looked him up and down. "I'm gonna go get Rick."

Shawn nodded his head and stood there as she disappeared back into the house, loudly calling Rick's name. Moments later, Rick appeared, already smoking a joint.

"Aye, wassup mane?" Rick greeted as he extended his hand to give Shawn some dap.

"Nun nigga, how yo' ass been?" Shawn questioned, giving Rick a dap.

"Shit, I been coolin'," He said smoothly, taking a drag from his blunt. "Come inside."

Shawn walked into the house and closed the door behind him when Rick stepped out of the doorway. He looked around and noticed the beat up couches and cushions, the chipping paint on the wall, and Demari's toys that were scattered across the floor. Shawn didn't judge Rick, especially since as a kid, he grew up in the same living conditions.

"Aye, wassup Bliz?" Jah greeted as he emerged from Rick's bathroom, wiping his hands on his shirt.

"Nun foolie," Shawn replied as he gave Jah some dap.

Jah looked over at Rick and laughed. "Mane, I fucked yo bathroom up. Don't go in there for the next 30 minutes."

Shawn laughed and Rick disgustingly rolled his eyes as he exhaled smoke. "Yo stank ass, I should make you clean that shit."

Jah flopped down on the couch, pulling a blunt and lighter from his pocket. "Don't do me like that, you vibing."

Shawn sat on the singular couch cushion and relaxed himself into the seat. Rick passed him a freshly rolled blunt. He pulled out his lighter from his pocket and lit the end up, putting the other side in his mouth and inhaling. He then exhaled the blunt and made a face.

"This shit strong," He informed them, taking another drag.

"Hell yeah," Rick said, killing off his blunt. "I be having that good shit."

"True that," Jah added, blowing O's. Kit walked into the living room where they sat, her nose scrunched up from the strong smell of weed.

"Y'all need to take this shit outside," she spat, walking over to Rick with her hands on her hips. "That's why the house smell like this shit, you need to fuckin' stop."

"Shut yo' ass up," Rick said, dismissing her with the wave of his hand. "Always on my dick and shit, get gone."

She smacked her lips and rolled her eyes. "If anything, you was on and in my pussy, which is why we have a son dumb ass nigga."

Shawn and Jah both erupted in laughter. It was funny when Rick and Kit got into their little arguments, but what was really funny was how Rick always got shut down by her or had delayed comebacks.

Not knowing what to say, Rick shrugged his shoulders and sat back.

"That's what I thought nigga," She snapped, before sashaying into their bedroom and closing the door.

"That bitch crazy," He mumbled, scratching the back of his head. "I don't know where I went wrong."

"Y'all gone be straight," Jah assured him, before turning to Shawn, who was getting faded. "So, how's you and yo' girl?"

Shawn blew smoke into the air before he responded. "We good. I been spending time with her and making sure she safe."

"That's wassup," Rick said. "So, y'all gone have a son or daughter?"

He shrugged. "It's been two weeks foolie, I don't know yet. But I want a son. Not no daughter."

"Daughters is more work," Jah chuckled, putting his blunt out. "If I was to have a daughter, I'd put her ass on lockdown. I don't need no hoe ass child."

"Then she'd run away from yo' strict, goofy ass," Rick said amused. His phone suddenly started ringing. He dug into his pocket and pulled it out, glancing at the screen. Boss was calling. He quickly slid the answer button to the side.

"Hello?" He answered, listening cautiously. After a couple of head nods, "yeahs", and "okays", he hung the phone up and stood at his feet.

"What's up?" Shawn asked, studying his friend's body language.

"Boss called and asked if you was with me, and I said yeah, then he told all of us to come to the trap immediately," Rick answered. "You coming?"

Shawn wanted to go and see if he could do something for his boss for extra cash, but something minor. He then thought about Moni and how he had told her that he was going to come home as soon as he was finished smoking with his homeboys.

Maybe she'll be sleep, he thought to himself. He glanced over at his Rolex to look at the time. It was 6:30 P.M. I'll come home at 8.

"Sure, man. Let's get going."

And with that, the three of them stood to their feet and made their way out of the house and to Jah's car.

~~

It was about 1 A.M when Shawn finally decided to return home to Moni. When he went over to the Boss' trap, he assigned them work to do. Not knowing that it was going to take almost the whole night to complete, he willingly agreed.

Shawn slowly crept in their bedroom, not making any sounds with his movement. He hoped that Moni was asleep because he didn't want to hear her getting on him about not coming back home at the time he promised her. Little did he know, she was wide awake and just kept the lights close.

When she felt his weight on the bed, she reached over on the nightstand and quickly flicked the lamp light on.

Fuck, Shawn though to himself as he looked into the eyes of a pissed off Moni. I thought she would be sleep.

"Where the fuck was you?" She questioned, looking at him up and down.

"I was with my homeboys and we was smoking all day," he lied, but he was half telling the truth. He knew that if he told her that he went to the trap to sell some shit for Boss, she'd go wild. "I-"

"Stop lying!" She interjected, ready to put her hands on him. "Tell the fuckin' truth Shawn!"

He hesitated for a minute but kept his statement. "Bae, all I did was smoke with Jah and Rick, you can even call and ask them."

"Bullshit!" She yelled as her voice began to rise. "They're your homeboys, of course they'd lie for you."

Shaw sighed and shook his head. Moni leaned closer to him, scanning his upper body for any marks, which he didn't have. She even inhaled his scent. He didn't smell like perfume or anything, just straight weed.

"You was cheating?" She questioned quickly.

Shawn looked at her like she was crazy. He'd never cheat on Moni, let alone think about doing it. She meant so much to him.

"Are you fuckin' crazy?" He asked, grabbing the sides of her head with his hands and pulling her close to his face so that it was an inch apart. "I would never cheat, and you know that."

"Is it the game?" She asked, looking deep into his eyes.

He slowly nodded his head, removing his hands off her face. Moni let out a deep and long sigh.

"When are you going to dead that shit?" She seriously asked him, her eyes becoming glossy. "And on top of that, you lied like you couldn't tell me."

"Bae, it's not my fault yo," he pleaded. But before he could continue, she waved him off and laid in the bed, turning her back to him. She was pissed.

Not wanting to piss her off even more, Shawn leaned over her and closed the light then laid in the bed, turning his back to her. This shit was causing problems.
