"Thats my baby up there," Jehnai said to himself as he looked at the screen.

He was so supportive, and just happy to be a dad.

It made my heart warm.

"okay mama, this baby is growing well. Weighing about 2lbs already — think you're gonna have a big baby. Everything ia growing how it should."

I smiled to myself.

"Do you have any questions mom, dad?" The nurse looked at us both.

"We get copies and stuff right?" Jehnai inquired.

"Oh yes of course!" The nurse smiled at big; she was staring at him a little too hard.

I ain't even trip though cause Jehnai doesn't date white women.

"I'll be right back," she stood up and tried her best to poke out her little buns.

I couldn't help but laugh cause I think Jehnai noticed too.

He shook his head, "white girls crazy."

"You need help," Jehnai questioned me as he stood up and grabbed my hand so I could sit up.

"Thanks," I wiped my stomach off and hopped off the cot.

I grabbed my wallet and house keys and as we're walking out; the nurse walke in with our pictures.

Jehnai reached for me and a smile appeared on his face, "this definitely my son Kash."

"Definitely a girl," I mugged him as I grabbed the pictures.

We scheduled my next appointment and made our way to his truck.

"You hungry," Jehnai asked me.

"Hm, no... I'm thirsty though." I responded.

"You gotta eat Kash ... want a seafood boil?"

I sighed, "I guess so — get it spicy for me."

"That ain't gon hurt the baby?"

I laughed, "no ... I might get heartburn though or indigestion but ion care."

"I'm so full," I complained as I laid my head on Jehnai's chest.

He was watching Law & Order SUV like always.

He had a blunt in his hand; while his arm hang loosely around my waist.

I know we not on that type time, but any type of affection he gives me I'll take.

I watched him closely as he pulled from his blunt.

He was so fine, everything about him.

From the tattoos, to the way he licked his lips ever so often.

"Jehnai," I spoke.

"Hm," he looked down at me, his eyes were red as hell.

"I love you and thank you for being so supportive."

He chuckled, "I got you; you know that."

I frowned; he didn't say I love you back.

"You didn't say I love you back," I mumbled.

He rolled his eyes, "you're a crybaby, but I love you too."

I watched as he yawned and removed his arm from around my waist, "I'm gon lay down,"

Standing to his feet, he stretched some more and took the trash and shit to the kitchen.

I slowly stood up, following behind him.

My feet hurt so bad, all I wanted was to lay down too.

"Can I lay witchu?" I asked him.

"Ion care Kash."

I followed behind him as he walked to his bedroom, lately all Jehnai has been doin is sleeping if he wasn't waiting hand and foot on me.

I should probably go home soon; he needs a break from me.

He pulled his covers back and climbed into his bed, I followed close behind him and got into the bed as well.

I turned on my side and Jehnai found his way behind me and wrapped his hands around my waist; he rested his hand on my belly and I couldn't help but to smile.

He made me feel safe, feel good at all times.

I'm living in a fantasy... but I'll be fine.

The Following Morning...

Wakin up from my sleep, I noticed the bed next to me was empty.

I jumped up and started looking for her cause sum could be wrong.

I went to the bathroom first and seen she was head first in the toilet; throwing up.

I sighed deeply as I rubbed her back.

Listening to other people throw up made my stomach hurt.

That make yall gag too?

After a few more minutes; she was finished.

I flushed the toilet for her and her nose was red and eyes watery.

"I'm so tired," she mumbled as she walked to the sink and started brushing her teeth.

Kash was getting thicker, her hips were getting wider, nose was spreading a bit too.

And of course her ankles were swollen; she still was gorgeous as hell to me though.

She rinsed her mouth out with my mouthwash and washed her face.

"I'm gonna go home today," she said randomly.

"Why?"

"Because ... you need a break from me and I'm okay being by myself."

"Kashlynn ... what are you talking about? A break — wym.." I spoke up as I went and started brushing my teeth.

"A break from me, I noticed how tired you been Jehnai. Its all over your face... I just don't wanna be an extra burden."

I swea she says some dumb ass shit.

After I finished brushing, I rinsed my mouth out with mouthwash I wiped my face and shit.

"Kashlynn... you're literally carrying my child. Can't burden me with something that I did to you, regardless of the way shit went down with us."

"Still, I'm gonna head home so after I get ready and everything can you please take me?"

"Aight, fine. But promise me if you need me, you'll call."

She chuckled, "you're a lot farther from me, I'll probably reach out to my cousin or the girls."

"Kashlynn." I gave her a look.

"Okay fine, I'll make sure to call you."

"Please, I want to make you and my baby as comfortable as possible."

"Alright, I will," she laughed a lil as she walked out of the bathroom.

Kash was sitting in the passenger seat as we were making our way to ber house.

She was busy dancing in her seat cause I stopped and got her sum to eat; fat ass.

First time she was actually hungry so of course I had to make sure she ate before I dropped her off.

I missed her for sure ... but my peace and my happiness was important.

My trust ... she broke that and ion know if I'll ever be able to fully forgive her.

I ain't been serious wit nobody in yrs — it was always sex.

My last ex fucked a nigga up, did me dirty and the fact that I ended up giving Kash this chance and she fucked it up made me bitter.

I was mad as hell cause I ain't deseve none of that.

I was doin her good, fuckin her good, respecting her allat and she basically said fuck a nigga.

That shit hurt.

After about 20-25 minutes; I finally pulled up to Kash's house.

Her jeep was parked, sitting untouched.

I parked and helped her out and made sure she got inside the crib safely.

"Thank you," she smiled up at me.

"Of course, call me if you need anything. I'll be over Friday, check on you and shit."

"That's literally tomorrow," she laughed.

I shrugged, "I know."

"Bye son," I rubbed Kash's belly.

She just laughed at me.

Kash looked like she was about to kiss me, but she was hesitant.

Then eventually she just stood on her tippy toes and kissed my lips.

I kissed back, but stopped after a few seconds.

"Why you had to fuck us up," I sighed deeply once I pulled away.

It was a rhetorical question, I didn't want an answer because everything she told me was bullshit in my eyes.

Ain't no way you pull some shit like this in behalf of somebody you claim you love.

"I-,"

"Nah ... you good. Don't say nun, just call me."

"Jehnai," before she could stop me I just climbed into my house and drove on off.

I was inna crib, smoking a blunt and doin a lil drinking when somebody knocked at my door.

It was midnight — the fuck.

I had my gun tucked as I went to go see who was there.

Once I opened my door, I froze in place seeing my ex with a little boy on her hip.

"Hi Jehnai."
