It hurt. It really did. 

The fact that he couldn't do anything for her at all was painful. He hated it. All Kakashi wanted to do was help his Kano-Chan but everytime he did it was like she was moving farther away.

"Kano-Chan..."

"Is everyone okay?" 

But she smiled, like nothing happened. Like she didn't matter or she didn't feel anything. Like some tool.

And that pissed him off.

"Everyone's fine, thanks to you."

She let out a large sigh of relief and threw her legs over the side of the bed, standing up slowly.

Kakashi wrapped his arm around her waist and she nodded thankfully, throwing her arm over his shoulder.

"N-Naruto...And Tachi, Sasuke...Mina-Nii...I have to see them."

"You're going to soon, just relax."

"You're mad."

"..."

"Why?"

"I have my reasons."

"You can tell me."

"No, I can't." She rose a slightly startled brow at him.

"Not unless you tell me whats wrong yourself."

"Nothings wrong."

"I already know thats a lie. Your eyebrows lower when you lie and smile genuinely."

"I-" Her eye twitched. "Why do you know that?"

"Cause i've literally been with you since I was born."

"Hn." He tightened his arm around her waist and sighed before throwing her over his shoulder.

"Hey!"

"Hi." He adjusted her so it was more comfortable for the both, though he shifted a little uncomfortably since she was taller than him.

"Ngh..."

"Are you going to stop keeping secrets from me, then? Finally?"

"I'm sorry..."

"You should be!" He grit his teeth and furiously closed his eyes, stopping the tear that had gathered from falling.

"Stop acting like you're alone! I know you think you are, but we both made a promise, and you're breaking it!"

Her breath hitched in remembrance, curling her hands into fists while gripping his shirt.

"Right, sorry..."

"Geez..." He sighed. "I feel like i'm lecturing a kid."

"Oi! I'm not a kid!"

'Yeah, I totally feel like a kid right now. It's not like i'm  being carried like a sack of potatoes over possibly the hottest Naruto characters shoulder- IM NOT A KID IF I FEEL LIKE THAT-'

'Shut up, or i'll kill you.'

'Kurama?!'

'...'

She blinked in shock and called him multiple times, not hearing a single response.

'Jerk.'

"Aneki!" Kakashi slowly set her down, making sure she didn't get hurt only for her to be tackled to the ground by a little Uchiha.

"Are you okay?!" She smiled and pat his head, wiping the tears that had gathered in Itachis eyes.

"Of course. I'm doing, great in fact, now that i've seen you."

He smiled and buried his head in her chest, shoulder shaking.

"Did you protect Sasu, Tachi?"

"Y-Yeah..."

"You did a good job, you know?"

"Thanks."

"Aneki?"

"Uh-Huh?"

"Is it true?" He slowly stood up while Kakashi, (Who's eye was twitching.) helped her up once again.

"Do you have the demon fox in you?" Her lips pursed and eyes flickered to Mikoto, who was holding Sasuke with a worried look in her eyes.

"Yes." Itachi watched his elder sisters hands shake slightly and took one in his hands, sending her a small smile.

"My Aneki really is cool." He beamed with pride. "She can even handle the demon fox."

A small smile slipped onto Mikotos face as she nodded in agreement, moving closer with the waking Sasuke and handing him to Nakano.

"You don't have to be worried, Nana. We're family, so we'll love you even as a jinchuruuki. Though your father is a little hesitant, he himself will love you as well."

A giggle escaped the baby in her arms, his hand clutching tightly onto her finger and biting it.

"Sasu..."

"He was crying non-stop earlier, i'm surprised he's been quiet, and even laughing now."

"Because Aneki is the best. Obviously, Kaa-San." Itachi rolled his eyes as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, which to him it was.

"Yes, you're right Itachi." His mother giggled and kissed his cheek, which he replied with by looking away with a blush.

Poor Kakashi was shifting uncomfortably, feeling like this was a family moment before recalling the very words she'd said long ago.

'You're part of this family too!'

He smiled and placed his hands in his pockets, silently watching the scene until she turned her attention to him and indicated she wanted him to hold Sasuke.

"Oh, no- It's alright..." She rose her eyebrows and only smiled, waiting for him to take the boy. Before doing so, he inspected all the others expressions. Mikoto was kindly smiling and agreeing with her daughter, while Itachi was looking at Kakashi with narrowed eyes. 

The boy slowly rose his pointer and middle finger and pointed at his eyes, and then Kakashi's making the male sweatdropp.

"I guess..."

Sasuke stared at Kakashi for a while before seeming to narrow his eyes into a deadpan and harshly bit his finger.

"Yeah..." Kakashi sighed and looked at Nakano. "He hates me."

"You're not Aneki, so of course he does."

"Tachi...Please don't let this become a sister complex."

"It's not a sister complex."

"Nevermind, he likes me."

Sasuke giggled loudly and swung his arms up, trying to grab onto Kakashis hair.

"Hair is off limits buddy. Not the hair."

"Yeah, Kakashi cares more about his hair than I do." He shot her a glare but she just looked away with a smile.

"Oi." He looked down at Itachi who was looking back with narrowed eyes and outstretched arms.

"Give me."

"Huh?"

"Give me my Otouto, or i'll kick you."

"Uhm...Okay." Yeah, he didn't want a kick from the boy. He had a weird amount of strength for his age, and it honestly scared him.

"Kay, Sasuke. Let's go eat and then I can tell you stories about how awesome Aneki is."

The three eldest sweatdropped at Itachis retreating figure.

"Hey Kano-Chan?"

"Huh?" She turned to him while Mikoto waved and left with Itachi, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Go out with me."

"..."

"Tomorrow. At 7:00pm." He was highly amused when she turned beet red and stepped backwards.

"HUH!?"

"Go out with me."

"M-Me?!"

"No, me. You got out with me. Hatake Kakashi."

"HEHHHHH!?!?"

"Stop yelling, this is a hospital."

"Oh good." She slowly fell backwards. "That means I can faint."

"E-Eh? K-Kano-Chan!"
