"Genma-Kun." Nakano nodded quite awkwardly at him, and he grinned with a wave.

Team 3 sent her strange looks at her attitude and wondered who this 'Genma-Kun' was. Nobara and Megumi decided it would be best to ask her later, but Itadori being the idiot he is had different ideas.

"How do you know sensei?" He narrowed his eyes at Genma who sweatdropped at the boys accusatory tone.

"If you hurt her, I'll beat you up- Ow! Sensei!?" Nakano smiled and lifted her fist from where she'd hit the boys head, stiffening a little at being so close to the brunette who was smirking.

"Let's get this mission started already. Genma, aoba, Amado. Please teleport us there."

"You got it!" The three got into the shape of a circle, surrounding the five and creating hand signs.

"Teleportation Jutsu!" And just before they teleported away, Genma sent Nakano a wink along with a lopsided grin, ignoring the ring she brought up her hand to show.

"Tch!" She kicked a nearby tree and sent it across the field. "I hate him!"Β

"What's wrong with you?" Megumi grumbled, a little annoyed by her strange attitude.Β  "He an ex boyfriend or something?"Β

"...No...?"

"Wait-" Nobara gasps. "He used to date you?!"

"No!" Nakano reeled back and sneered at them. "He has a crush or whatever on me, and confessed once but I had to turn 'im down 'cause I'm dating Kashi-Chan!"

"Ah...Good." Megumi cleared his throat in silent relief and followed behind the cringing Yamato.

"But why's he still hitting on you?"

"'Cause he's a bastard, that's why." Seeing she was displeased with the man, Itadori rolled up one of his sleeves and bluntly asked if she wanted him to "Beat 'im to a pulp'.

"Mm, that'd be nice." He nodded. "But, I'll leave that to Kashi-Chan."

"Shh!" Yamato peered at the hideout and they all retracted their chakra, making sure to hide their presences. Nakano called for their attention and informed them she would charge in first.

Remembering the last time she distracted an akatsuki, they sent her doubtful looks but she just grinned in response.

'It seems abandoned.' The Uchiha looked around inside the akatsuki base, stepping over a little rubble and passing a room when sobbing was heard.

"Hello?"Β  She opened the room, finding a little boy with black hair hugging his knees and sobbing. She warily crouched down in front of him and made sure to activate her infinity in case he was a trap.

"What are you doing here, kid?"

He sniffed and looked up at her. "Are you...W-With the cloud people?" She sharpened her gaze but made sure to keep it soft so as to not scare him. Shaking her head she noticed his body relax.

"Th-They almost took me, but l-left me here for some reason. Will you help me?"

"Of course." No way would she leave a kid alone. "What's your name?"

"Rami." That was an odd name.Β

"Your parents...?"

"My dad was killed here and my mom left him when I was born." He sobbed at his own words, but stilled when her hand ruffled his hair. She showed him a wide lopsided grin, proceeding to lift him up and speak into her com as they'd heard the entire conversation.

'I'll make the house, the others will go get the food.'Β

'Alright. Oh, and lay down this kid my sleeping bag, would 'ya?'

'Sure, senpai.'

"Say, kid?" He tilted his head at her, and she was surprised that any sign of tears was gone except for a little puffiness.Β

"What do you think about living in the leaf village?"

"That's so cool!"

"I know right? I'm amazing!"

"Yeah..."

Team 3 watched as Nakano lit up a fire with her fireball jutsu and grinned at Ramis praisings. It was decided that she would take care of the boy while the others organized their new resting place for god knows how long.

"Say, Rami?"

The boy looked up at her with sparkling eyes that glinted with curiosity. She internally gushed but pushed away those feelings for the moment. She handed him a ration bar and proceeded with the question she was going to ask him.

"What can you do?"

"I like archery!" He grinned a grin that made a certain boy pop up in her mind, and his whole demeanor screamed Hiroshi.

"And?"

"Throwing knives!"

"Oh?" She snickered. "It's fun stabbing people, isn't it?"

"Yeah!" He frowned a little. "I just don't like how stabbing people means hurting them."

She was about to open her mouth to say something but eventually decided keeping his innocence would be good. Sure, maybe killing wasn't something she liked doing, but hurting was another thing.

Okay, she guessed sadism was passed down to her from her mother and then to her youngest brother. As she remembered, Sasuke wasn't really a sadist in the original but obviously Nakano influenced him in that way.

Once, she was on a mission with them and saw a grin on her little brothers face when his opponent yelled. It was...Frightening for the others but hilarious for her.

It was also the first time Itachi scolded her.

He looked upset and betrayed and obviously tried changing her views, which he was somewhat successful with since there was absolutely no way Nakano could say not to her cute little brother. Even years later, she could never refuse him, a thing Kakashi had to deal with multiple times.

Rami cuddled into the sleeping bag in the boys room while Nakano and Nobara had their own. He smiled up at Nakano, sending a flutter to her heart.

"That's why my father named me Rami. It means archer!"

"I see..." She smiled and ruffled his hair and stood up to walk towards her room.

"When we do go back to the village, I'll introduce you to my fiance. I think he'd like you."Β

Ramis lip quivered for a second, as he thought of the knife in the storage seal on his stomach. He was lucky she thought they were tears of happiness or relief.

"Yeah..." He swallowed the lump in his throat. "I'd like that."

New character Rami! Enjoy!
