Leah

Louis drove me home and made sure that i had made it to my apartment ok, "sure you'll be alright? i can stay over," he says.

"Lou, i'll be fine Katie's here," i say.

"ok, well call me if you need anything," he says.

"i will, and thank you again," i say.

"not a problem," he says. "goodnight," he says.

"night," i say as i close the door.

once the door closes i burst into tears, i hadn't talked about my parents in months. i sit down at the kitchen counter and cry into my hands, what was wrong with me?

"Leah?" i hear someone say, i look up and see Katie standing in her doorway, she shuts her door and rushes to me. "what's wrong?"

"the divorce," i mumble through tears.

"oh, what made you think of that?" she asks sympathetically.

"Louis parents asked me about my family," i say.

"you need him," she says. "Louis, i'm calling him right now." she picks up my phone.

"no, it's fine, i'm fine." i say wiping the tears off my face.

"no you're not," she says.

"look, he's gone home, i don't want to bother him, just let it be. i'll see him tomorrow." i say taking my phone and going to my room.

Louis

i was driving home, slowly, thinking about Leah. i felt so bad for just leaving her like that, i hear my phone ringing and pull over to answer it.

"hello?"

"is this Louis?"

"yes? and this?"

"Katie, Leahs friend and current roommate."

"right, why are you calling me?"

"as soon as you must've left Leah bursted into tears about her parents, come here now, she needs you."

"i'm on my way."

she hangs up the phone and i drive back to Leahs apartment, when i get to her apartment i knock on the door and Katie answers it.

"she's in her room," she says.

"thanks," i say walking inside.

i open the door to her bedroom slowly and hear her sniffling in her bed, i close the door and she turns her head and sees me.

"what are you-" she starts to say.

"sh, try to sleep." i say walking inside and taking my shoes off.

she nods and turns her head again, i slip into bed next to her and cuddle with her. i put my arm around her and pull her closer to me, her small body made it easier to hold her.

after a while, we both fell asleep.
