Leah

meet the parents? oh great, in one hour i was going to be driving to Louis house and meeting his family. i was a nervous wreck, i had no idea what to wear and was even more nervous about what i was going to say.

i had picked out a pair of skinny jeans and sweater that i had gotten a while back. i tied my hair into a low bun and slipped on some shoes, i leave the apartment and get into my car.

i drive to his house and knock on the door, when it opens i'm greeted by a girl who looks a lot older then me.

"you must be Leah, come in." the girl says. "i'm Issie, Louis older sister."

"nice to meet you," i say shaking her hand.

"so you're a model?" she asks.

"oh, yeah, i am." i say.

"that's so cool, weren't you like, the Chanel ambassador last year or something?" she asks.

"yeah, i was, i still model for them though." i say.

"wow, i'm a little jealous." she says.

"Issie, you can stop asking her all these questions." Louis says coming down the stairs.

"actually we were having a very interesting conversation." Issie says.

"she wasn't bothering me," i say.

"well it was nice meeting you, i should go help my mom, i'll see you at dinner." she says.

she walks into the other room and Louis walks over to me, he's wearing a navy blue sweater and black jeans.

"you look nervous," he says.

"well, i never had to meet the parents before." i say.

"i thought you were in other relationships before." he says.

"i was, but i knew the families already, we were family friends." i say.

"well i think they're going to like you, trust me." he says wrapping his arm around my waist and kissing the top of my head.

Louis

Leah was clearly nervous, after talking with my mother for a bit it was time to eat. we sat down and began to eat,

"so Leah, where are you from?" Dad asks.

"Seattle, it's gorgeous over there, but i live in New York part time." she says.

"is your family in Seattle?" Mom asks.

"just my parents and brother, my moms side of the family lives up in Canada and my dads side lives in Atlanta." she says.

"so what do your parents do?" Mom asks.

"well my dads a surgeon and my moms in Real Estate, she's a buyer." she says.

"well we'd love to meet them some day," Dad says.

"they're divorced," she says, everyone is silent, she never told me that. "it happened last year," she smiles.

"oh, i-i'm so sorry, we had no idea." Mom says.

"it's fine, i knew they wouldn't last." she says.

"well tell us about you, Louis tells us your a model." Mom says.

"yeah, i started when i was 14." she says.

"what was your first job?" Millie asks.

"i think it was for, i want to say American Eagle. i could be wrong though." she says.

"do you do runway?" Issie asks.

"yeah actually i'm doing one for Chanel in one week," she says.

"wow, that's amazing, at such a young age as well." Mom says.

"you just have to have the right agent." she says.

"so if you weren't a model what would you be studying?" Dad asks.

"medicine, i would be attending medical school, my dad always wanted me to become a doctor." she says.

"any certain area?" Dad asks.

"probably Cardiothoracic or Plastics," she says, i had no idea she was so interested in this stuff.

"have you ever been inside of a hospital room before?" Millie asks.

"once, it was an accident and i walked in on the surgeons performing an appendectomy." she says.

"ooh, that must've been hard to watch." Mom says.

"it was," she says.

"did you ever watch Greys Anatomy?" Issie asks.

"yes, actually i was watching it on my flight from Seattle to London." she says.

after we finish dinner mom comes up to me, "i like her, she's different than the others. don't let her go,"

"i won't," i say.

i walk over to Leah who looks a bit sad, "what's wrong?" i ask.

"nothing," she says.

"you never told me your parents are divorced," i say.

"it's not that big of a deal, i knew they wouldn't last anyway." she says, she's clearly upset about it.

"it's didn't happen last year," i say.

"when i was 8," she says, at that moment i knew why she was so sensitive about me meeting her family. i felt terrible for putting that kind of pressure on her.

"i'm so sorry," i say bring her into my arms, i hug her tightly and she hugs me back. "i had no idea,"

"it's ok," she says quietly.
