Leah steps out of the taxi and onto the pavement outside the airport. she couldn't believe she was back here so soon, not forever but still. grabbing her bags from the trunk Louis is stepping out of his taxi just a block down.

the two go into the airport at the same time but not with each other. Leah puts sunglasses on and rolls her luggage through the airport.

what are the odds, that they had booked the exact same flight? once reaching the gate Leah sits down and opens her phone, Louis sitting right across from her, neither of them recognizing each other. Leah was wearing sunglasses with a baseball hat covering her face, Louis was wearing a hoodie with the hood up and sunglasses.

Louis opens his text messages to Leah and begins typing, hey, how's upstate? he hits send and waits eagerly for a response. he looks up at the girl sitting across from him, who look vaguely familiar. not thinking much of it, puts his AirPods in his ears and waits for boarding.

and hour passes and the two board the flight, the chances of them sitting two seats away from each other, one in a hundred. the flight goes on, with the two not recognizing or talking to each other, without even realizing they're both there.

then fait, had to do something about this. with AirPods in ear Louis passes Leah a note.

do you have tissues inside your compartment?

Leah looks at Louis, still not recognizing each other she writes back.

no i don't, ask a flight attendant

she passes the note back and she watches as he scribbles something down.

because,

because why?

i just met you, i haven't even spoken to you.

Leah felt a bit guilty for lying about her life, but she would never see this guy ever again so what's the issue? she has no idea, neither of them do.

yeah me neither, ask for tissues.

she watches as he asks one of the flight attendants for tissues she hands him a small packet and he thanks her.
