Louis

the next morning when i come out of the bedroom and see Leah sitting at the table mug in hand, her finger is circling the rim of the mug. i clear my throat and she looks up at me, she stands up and walks back into the kitchen.

"coffee?" she asks.

"sure," i say sitting down, she was acting strange. not like herself.

"cream? sugar?" she asks nervously.

"just a spot of cream." i say. she nods and i notice her hands shaking. "are you, ok?" i ask getting up and walking over to her.

"i'm fine," she snaps putting what was in her hands onto the counter. she leaves the room and goes back to her bedroom.

an hour passes and she comes out of her bedroom, she sees me and sits down next to me.

"sorry, i just, i have a really big decision to make." she says.

"yeah, me too." i say. should i tell her about New York?

"uhm, i'm not going to be here, this weekend, i have to, uhm. go upstate, to see someone." she says.

"i won't be here either," i say. "i'm going to a relative house."

"oh ok, ok, that's good." she says.

"i think i should get home and begin packing, i'll see you on Tuesday," i say getting up.

"yeah, see you." she says, i grab my jacket and leave the apartment.
