I continued living for a whole month as an empress, getting closer with kosair and most of the nobles.
It didn't take too long till everyone believed rashta and the former emperor were traitors of the empire. Not a single slut supporter stayed that way, and I didn't even have to do anything but say a few words.

Being an empress slowly became easy. Paperwork, too much to fit my desk became an easy task to finish. I and navier would exchange letters often. Life was decent and slightly boring now, can't say the same for rashta and sovieshu.

Kosair gradually started acting...different, but not in a bad way.

Within those months I'd slowly leak new rumors about rashta and sovieshu to cause the public to hate them more than they already do.
Of course, viscount and viscountess ishka were exposed as rashta's fake parents.

A few days later I hear a knock on my office doors. "Enter," I say idly staring at my papers. The door opens and viscount lotteshu walks in, a shit-eating grin on his expression. He bowed before stepping forward.

"A pleasure, may I occupy even the littlest bit of your time, your highness?" He sat on the chair before me. I look up, the empath in me knowing exactly what he wanted.
"Of course, are there any important matters I need to be aware of?" I ask putting down my pen. "I was thinking... Maybe, we could make a little deal." He rubbed his hands together and sat down on the chairs before me. "I see, proceed."

He stares in thought for a moment before grinning. "Ah, you're as wise as ex empress navier. I'll have to make sure the deal is great enough for your standards then." He breaks eye contact, looking to the right then left in thought.
"How about you give me some fine gems, jewelry, or any form of currency and the royal guard's protection along with yours...
Of course. In exchange for anything your highness might want."

"I have no need from your families support financially, reputability, or security. In my perspective if I agreed it'd be an unfair trade so, if you have nothing else please do leave before you waste both of our time...respectfully, ofcourse." I shoot a sarcastic smile and look back down at my papers.

He was persistent in making new deals. But he left soon enough, making snarky comments on his way out, mouthing "bitch" Or "stupid whore" while nibbling on his nails.

After finishing work I informed aria and Marquis Karl I'd be leaving.

Shuffling around outside I reach an abandoned house, shoving open the already unsteady gates.

Once I got in the house a copper stench instantly hit me and I heard a voice from the stairs going into the basement. "Ah, y/n." It was kosair. He walked over. The blood on his red vest was almost invisible but the smell was evident. "I'm guessing someone else is here with you?" I question. "No, actually. We're alone." He replied, smiling. He wraps his arms around my shoulders bringing me down the stairs with him.

"They better not be dead," I told, "don't worry, love. I would never dare defy the orders of, your highness." He said teasingly. The deeper into the basement we got, the stronger the smell of blood became. I waved a hand afront my face walking down the stairs.

Rashta and sovieshu were tied to chairs, sleep deprived and beaten shades of blue. Kosair leaned on the door frame, arms crossed. I kneeled down infront of sovieshu pulling up his chin to look at me. His eyes widen, shuffling his chair aback. "Demon!" He screamed.

He was hallucinating from the sleep deprivation. "Your breathe stinks." I mumbled, getting up. Unlike sovieshu who's had the words "you're weak," carved into his brain since a young age by me. Rashta would try to attack through chains even though she knew well she wouldn't be able to even lay a scratch on me. I kept my distance, called out her name, and she looked up at me with bloodshot eyes. "You." She mumbled, tired and lazily, eyes looking from side to side wary of her surroundings. Turning around, I started a little conversation with kosair.

We chatted till dusk, with a little flirting and a few sparring sessions. But as an empress, I'd have to give myself a curfew else guards would be sent running around barging into houses in search for me as they did with sovieshu.

We chatted while walking to the back doors of the palace, ensuring that no one would see us and assume a tryst. As we reach a distance from the doors he turns in a stop to face me. "This is where we part," He said, gently taking my hand in his and placing a light kiss on it. "Goodnight, your highness." He whispers. "Goodnight." I respond before going in the back doors, avoiding the patrol guards.
