❝You look absolutely amazing. It's a shame I can't dance with you.❞

Β  Β  REVENGE. THE VERY THOUGHT of revenge made the newly turned vampire's insides spark in excitement. This was what she's been waiting for, ever since the night she opened her eyes and realized that she was already in transition.

"Meow." Said Luna as she walks around Paris' feet, seeking for her attention while she sat on the bed.

Paris looks down when she heard her meow and smiles before picking up the little creature. "It's been a while since we've hung out. Do you miss me?" Paris said to the cat.

Luna said nothing. Instead, she looks up at Paris with her eyes squinted and her cute nose slightly moving, as well as her whiskers. "You're so cute." Paris said as she pets Luna, making the cat close her eyes and purr in satisfaction.

"That she is." Someone said from the door with a British accent, and there's only one person inside this house that has a British accent, excluding Damon's attempt of doing one.

Paris averts her eyes from the furry little creature and glances at Lucien, who is leaning against the doorframe. He's wearing a formal attire for the Founder's ball tonight at 7. The older vampire wasn't wearing his blazer considering that a lot of the people in this house aren't ready yet, for example, Paris who is still not ready, is playing with her cat.

He straightens his body and lets himself inside her room, approaching the brunette vampire.

Lucien sat beside Paris, a feet away from her. His eyes are fixated at the little creature before Paris puts Luna down on the space between her and Lucien.

"The little creature's grown quite a lot, hasn't she?" Lucien commented as he lightly brush the cat's head, which Luna enjoyed.

"She has." Paris simply replied.

Lucien picks up Luna and lifts her up in front of his face. Luna meowed softly as she yawns.

"Has she been good to you?" Lucien asked Luna.

Paris slightly smiles at the scene before her. Lucien being soft around a cat, who would've thought?

Luna simply licks her hand and brushes it on her head, repeating it twice. Lucien smiles before setting down the cat between them again.

Paris looks down at Luna as she once again caress the cat's soft fur, while Lucien stared at Paris tenderly, thinking of the right words to say.

"I really am sorry for what I did to you." Lucien told her.

Paris slowly glances at the older vampire and just stared at him as Lucien continued.

"I was selfish. But now, I don't think I am anymore. I won't let you be a monster, Paris. Just know that." Lucien told her.

"I know." Paris just said.

As much as Paris wanted to stay mad at Lucien because it's what he deserves, she can't. She knows Lucien is a complicated person, and she was able to take a glimpse of who he really is on the inside when he opened up about his earlier life. She knows that he wouldn't be all good, but that doesn't mean that he's all bad.

"You should get dressed." Lucien said, giving her a warm smile before standing up and walking towards the door.

Lucien closes the door on his way out, leaving Paris with a sleeping Luna.

"This is by far my most favorite makeover, yet!" Caroline exclaimed in excitement as she finished Paris' makeup.

Paris told Caroline that she could do it on her own, but Caroline insisted. She's been wanting to give Paris a makeover not because she needed it since she's naturally beautiful, but because she wanted Damon to be amazed at her transformation.

He always had seen her in her casual clothes and her natural makeup, but he hasn't seen her in a ballgown, with light, sparkling makeup and gorgeous hairstyles.

She wanted to capture Damon's reaction once he sees Paris and then hang it up around town for everyone to see. Plus, Caroline guessed that Lucien has a crush on Paris, now's the time to find out.

Caroline moved out of the way to let Paris see herself in the mirror and she herself was amazed by how a great job Caroline did. Her hair had little, bright flowers in them. Her makeup is light but still blinding. Her dress is dramatic and stunning. She looked...perfect.

"What the hell did you do to me?" Paris said in disbelief as she eyed the figure in the mirror.

"What? Don't you like it? I think you look really amazing." Caroline said worriedly.

"No. That's the point. I look amazing." Paris told her with a huge smile before looking over at Caroline who looks stunning as well with her lavender ballgown decorated with shiny little pieces of bling across the bodice of her gown.

"It's what I do." Caroline said with a wink and a smile.

Caroline settled the brush down on the dresser before picking up her's and Paris' clutch. "Come on, the ball started an hour ago." Caroline said as she hand Paris her clutch.

"Okay." Paris simply said. She pulls the front of her gown to be able to walk more comfortably without stepping on the fabric. Paris decided to just slip on her flat sandals instead of heels considering that people wouldn't be paying attention to her feet since it's hidden under the gown.

"You handle your crazy ex and I'll handle my crazy ex." Damon told Lucien, who stood beside his beautiful date for tonight, Alexis, wearing her burgundy ball gown with silver detailing along the skirt of her dress, matching Lucien's burgundy tuxedo.

"She's not my ex but I'll take the crazy." Lucien replied before taking a sip of his glass of bourbon handed by Damon.

"We should go." Said Caroline, alerting the two men of her and Paris' presence.

As soon as the men heard the high pitch voice of one and only Caroline, they turn towards the girls' direction, seeing Caroline in her beautiful lavender gown and behind her is Paris. Caroline stepped out of the way for them to see Paris clearly.

The moment Damon laid eyes on Paris, his smirk that was previously placed on his lips after talking to Lucien immediately faded. His eyes stared at her in awe, it seems like his pupils dilated twice its size as he examined every inch of her. Her wavy hair is embellished with flowers. Her skin looked like it glowed luminously from where she was standing. Her eyes, her beautiful green eyes made Damon melt from his position.

Same goes for Lucien. The mere sight of the young brunette made everything else blur away. The shy smile that Paris gave made Lucien's heart flutter. His usual sly expression disappeared and was replaced by an astonished one, seeing Paris in such a gown felt like a blessing for him

The two men both thought that the gown didn't enhance Paris' beauty, but rather, Paris' beauty enhanced the elegance of the gown.

Caroline slowly and sneakily took out her phone and snapped a picture of the two men staring at the gorgeous Paris.

When it seemed like the two men had no interest in speaking up first since they're too busy drowning in Paris' appearance, Caroline spoke up.

"Drool much?" Caroline teased while her arms crossed against her chest.

Damon and Lucien quickly snapped their gazes away from Paris and towards a grinning Caroline. Damon could only roll his eyes at the blonde vampire.

"Bonnie made this for you." Damon said, taking something out of his blazer as he walked up to Paris.

It was a black velvet box and inside is a silver bracelet.

Damon takes it out of the box and unclasps it. He took it upon himself to put the bracelet on her himself, clasping it around her wrist.

"It's spelled. So, in Camila's and Aurora's eyes, you're not Paris. You're an annoying little witch a.k.a. Bon-bon." Damon joked and Paris laughs softly.

"They believe you're dead. We're going to use that to our advantage and surprise them. But, you don't have to if you don't want to." Damon said, still holding on to her hand after putting on the bracelet.

"I can do this. Don't worry." Paris said, squeezing Damon's hand in the process.

"You look gorgeous by the way." Damon whispered into her ear, making Paris smile.

"Yeah. I can tell by your drooling." Paris teased.

"I don't drool." Damon replied with a smirk

"Caroline's picture of you says otherwise." Paris said, with a grin before turning around to head out of the house.

Damon's smirk dropped as his eyebrows pushed together. "What picture?"

Paris ignored his question and continued to walk away from him. "Paris, what picture?"

After struggling to fit Paris' gown in Damon's convertible and finally succeeded in doing so, they have arrived at Lockwood Mansion where Tyler is waiting outside for Caroline's arrival.

Caroline stepped out of her car and approached her date for the night. Shortly after, Elena and Stefan arrived, joining Damon, Paris, Lucien, and Alexis as they waited for Ric and Meredith.

You could imagine Meredith's reaction when she was told that they were going after Camila tonight. Not only does she thinks it's reckless, but she also doesn't want Paris in harm's way. Camila doesn't know she's alive, she wanted for it to stay that way.

However, Paris convinced her that she needed to do this. She will always be in harm's way because she's now a vampire, all she could do was either fight or die. Paris wasn't about to give Camila and Aurora the satisfaction of being dead.

Once Alaric and Meredith arrived, they strolled into the ball altogether.

Damon grabbed two glasses of champagne from the waiter's tray and handing Paris the other one. Paris accepts it with a smile.

Before going into their mission, Damon wanted to dance with Paris first so she could at least feel the slightest bit normal.

After finishing her glass of champagne, Damon clears his throat and looks at Paris while he offered his hand. Paris looks between him and his hand before rolling her eyes and smiling.

She accepts his hand and Damon led them to the dance floor, which is half-filled. Damon's right-hand rests upon Paris' waist as his left one held Paris' right. She places her left hand on Damon's broad shoulders before looking to his eyes.

The music started and Damon guides Paris into the dance, step by step, turn by turn. Paris giggles softly every time her feet bumps Damon's. She wasn't exactly great at this part of the parties. That's why Damon was leading the dance.

"You're good at this." Said Paris.

"Had a couple of decades to practice." Damon bragged.

Paris could only laugh at his response until a presence behind her interrupts their moment.

"My turn?" Said Camila, causing Paris to tense up as she averts her gaze towards the most hated witch in town.

Camila looks at Damon before shifting her gaze towards Paris nonchalantly. "If you don't mind, Bonnie." Camila said, forcing a small smile towards who she thought is Bonnie.

Paris became relieved knowing that Bonnie's bracelet work, but refrained from showing it. Paris looks back at Damon before stepping out of the way.

Camila held out her hand in front of Damon with a raised eyebrow. He could only roll his eyes before taking her hand and placing his other on her waist.

"You're still good at dancing." Camila commented as they danced.

"You're still a bitch." Damon said, sending Camila a sarcastic smile.

"Look, I'm sorry I had to kill your girlfriend. Her death is just a means to an end." Camila said in apathetically.

"To what end, Camila? Tell me, what is it that you want with the serum? Is it for your girlfriend? Where is Aurora, anyway?" Damon said as his grip on her hand and waist tightened.

"Oh, she's doing some other important work. As for your other questions, where's the fun if I told you? You know me, Damon. I like the chase." Camila said.

Damon clenches his jaw in anger as they continued to dance.

Meanwhile, Paris searched for Lucien and Stefan. She first found Lucien on his own at the bar, therefore, she approached him.

"Your date bailed on you already?" Asked Paris.

Lucien turns his glance towards Paris. "Alexis is in the ladies' room." He told her.

Paris stood beside him as she watched Camila and Damon dance.

"The bracelet worked?" Lucien asked, following Paris' gaze which led him to a scene of Damon and Camila dancing.

"It did. We need to get ready." Paris said she was about to make her way towards the stairs but Lucien said something before she did.

"You look absolutely amazing. It's a shame I can't dance with you." Lucien told her as he walked past her, making his way towards the stairs first.

Paris' lips parted and she blinks a few times before getting herself focused again and following Lucien towards where it will all happen.

"So, where's the serum." Camila asked.

"You're not gonna get it." Damon simply replied.

"And why is that?"

"Because I'm gonna make sure that this dance will be your last."

Damon spins Camila around, their eyes meeting again after she did.

"Well, if it's with you, I'd be honored." Camila flirted.

Paris never minded if anyone would flirt with Damon. She knew he wouldn't flirt back. That he was hers. But something about Camila flirting with Damon made Paris angry and jealous. Part of it was because she was the one responsible for her death, but also because Damon spent decades loving that monster. What if Damon fails to completely bury his feelings towards Camila?

She could just be overthinking things, but she can't help it. Her emotions are heightened. But now, she invests all her concentration on bringing that bitch down tonight for good.
