❝Because, I not only care about myself, I now care about Paris as well. When the time comes, she won't be able to handle being an upgraded original vampire, trust me. She'll explode.❞

Β  Β  IT'S NOT THAT Paris is complaining about how everything has been quiet for two days. She enjoyed it actually. However, she can't help but wonder why it's quiet. Camila still hasn't gotten her hands on the serum, neither did Aurora. So why aren't they hearing from them?

"You're at it again." Damon muttered while his eyes are narrowed, his head on Paris' lap as they sat on the front yard of the Salvatore Boarding House.

Paris snaps herself back in reality and shakes her head slightly before smiling down at Damon.

"It's nothing." She said, brushing her fingers through his raven hair.

"You keep saying that and I keep figuring out you're lying." Damon replied.

He sits upright and turns to look at her, balancing all his weight in his right hand. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Paris looks at him and sighs before answering his question.

"It's been two whole days, Damon. Camila gave us two days to hand her the serum. We still have it, but why isn't Camila doing anything? Doesn't it make you wonder?" Paris asked.

It does actually. Damon has been thinking about it. He knew that even though they haven't heard from Camila or Aurora, the battle isn't over yet. If only any of them knew what Camila wants with the serum.

"We'll figure it out." Damon simply said.

Their conversation was cut short when Lucien's Audi roared, speeding towards the Salvatore Boarding House and pulled over in front. He steps out of his vehicle and glances at the couple. Paris and Damon scrunched their eyebrows together when their eyes landed on Lucien's company. A lady with curly blonde hair also stepped out of the passenger's seat.

"Is that your new girlfriend, Castle?" Damon asked as he and Paris scans the unfamiliar person.

"Come inside if you want to find out, Salvatore." Lucien responded, motioning for them to follow.

Damon and Paris exchange glances before Damon pushes himself up and then helping Paris stand up before making their way towards the boarding house.

Considering that Matt, Tyler, Jeremy, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie are doing some volunteer work at the Lockwood mansion for the preparation of the founder's ball tomorrow night, only Stefan and Ric were able to join the four.

They all gathered in the living room as they eyed the unfamiliar blonde sitting beside Lucien.

"This is Alexis. The friend I informed you all about. I picked her up from one of the condos I acquired that I let her stay in so that she can show you the vision of my death."Β  Lucien introduced.

The witch, Alexis, gave a faint smile as her eyes scan the faces that occupied the room. Her eyes last landed on Paris and her smile drops, remembering her face perfectly from the vision.

"A lot of people see Lucien as this heartless jerk. Maybe it's because of how the Mikaelsons broke him. But, he can be really kind if he wants to be." Said Alexis, looking over at Lucien beside her, who gave her a grateful smile before shifting their gazes back at the four.

"So, in order for you to believe the prophecy, you must hear it from her." Lucien told them.

"Okay. Tell us." Said Damon, his arms crossed against his chest.

Lucien could only roll his eyes as Alexis responded. "To understand you must see it for yourself." Alexis said.

She held out her arms, exposing her wrist while Lucien moved out of the way. "Feed on me. And as you do, I will let you inside my mind." She added.

The four exchanged glances, considering that Alaric is human, he's definitely not doing that. It has been decided that Damon will go with Paris, which is not entirely surprising.

Paris and Damon approaches the witch from across them and sits beside her. Paris sat on Alexis' left while Damon on her right.

"I'm still new to the whole vampire thing. I don't know if I'm able to control myself yet." Paris informed the witch.

The witch simply gave her a small smile before she responded. "Don't worry, once the vision is done, you're gonna want to pull away." Alexis said.

Alexis' statement made Paris worry even more about what she'll see in the vision.

The two vampires gently held both wrists of Alexis as they shared a glance and looked at Alexis for confirmation. She merely nod before the two glanced back at her wrist.

Paris feels her vampire face showing before she punctured her fangs into her wrist, Damon doing the same.

Lucien's gaze remained fixated on Alexis, making sure that she would be alright, after all, she is his best friend, not that he has many friends anyway except for Stefan, Ric, Damon, and Paris, if they still even consider him their friend.

Alexis gasps as her eyes slowly closed, allowing the two vampires into her mind.

"Drink deep, but hear my warning," Alexis started.

Paris and Damon closes their eyes as they let themselves into Alexis' mind.

"For the vision I'll show you is beyond repairing."

As their eyes were behind their eyelids, a bright light engulfed their eyesight, taking them towards Alexis' mind before they saw flashes of images.

"One came from the family of the cursed."

Paris' smile widens as she played around with her friends.

Then the memory flickered into a sadder memory.

Her eyes were glistening with tears as her mouth hung open, disbelief and guilt plastered across her face.

"The other evolved into a creature much worse."

A bunch of dead and bloody bodies covered almost the entire ground, laying on a rather large pool of blood.

"Betrayal and pain stirred into one,
Made the past buried deep come undone."

Paris smiles eerily as she steps on shattered glasses, following a panicking Meredith.

She finally regains control of herself and looks at Damon, feeling betrayed after knowing his secret.

"But as she lets herself dive into the cold and deep waters,"

Paris dives into the water, approaching someone in need of saving.

"She became a being she can no longer reverse."

Paris sighs as human blood touched her tastebuds. Her face shifted into her vampire one. Veins around her eyes were visible. Her green orbs suddenly darkened.

"Her destiny is to rid the world of the devil,"

Paris has her hand inside Lucien's chest, her anger overflowing as Lucien tried to catch his breath, but failed to do so.

"Even if she needs to become the greatest evil."

A tear escapes Paris' eyes before her normal green orbs turned into a dark shade of red.

Paris snaps her eyes open and gasps as she stands up and frantically backed away from Alexis. Damon released his fangs from Alexis' wrist and gasped.

Damon glances at the frantic Paris, blood still running down the sides of her mouth as her eyes widened at Alexis.

"I'll become a monster." Paris muttered to herself.

Even though Paris whispered those words to herself, it doesn't change the fact that Damon, Lucien, and Stefan heard it for they have vampire hearing.

Ric looked at Paris with concern as he approached the young lady.

"Hey, Paris. Are you alright?" He asked as he slowly made his way towards the girl.

"I'm-I'm a... I'm a m-monster." Paris stammered as her heartbeat quickened.

Her gaze dropped to the floor, her mind wandering somewhere else as she continued to take a few steps away, nearly missing her balance with every step.

"Paris. Hey, it's okay. You're gonna be fine." Ric encourage, but Paris' emotions got the best of her.

As soon as Ric placed a supposed to be comforting hand on her shoulder, it almost sent Paris over the edge because her emotions are no longer intact.

"Just stop!" Paris exclaimed.

Paris closes her eyes and brushes her fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm herself down.

She has been wondering what she would be like as a vampire and now, seeing the vision that Alexis showed her, she found her answer. Paris isn't just going to be a monster, she's going to be, according to Alexis' words, the greatest evil. Paris doesn't know what that means exactly but she knows it's far from good.

"I'll just-I'll get some rest." Paris told them before leaving the living room and making her way up towards Damon's room, where she is currently sleeping due to the fact that Paris didn't want to be alone in her room anymore, but of course, Meredith still doesn't know that.

Lucien glances at Alexis before approaching her. He sat beside her as he bites his wrist and pours some of his blood into a glass before handing it over to Alexis to heal her of her wounds.

"What exactly did you see?" Stefan asked his brother.

"Exactly what Lucien told us." Damon answered.

Damon glances at Lucien and Alexis before speaking again.

"You said the vision can't be changed. Why are you still trying to?" Asked Damon.

"Because, I not only care about myself, I now care about Paris as well. When the time comes, she won't be able to handle being an upgraded original vampire, trust me. She'll explode." Lucien answered.

Lucien looks back at his blonde friend and he could see the meaning behind her bothered expression. Alexis valued her friendship with Lucien, therefore if he's putting himself at risk, she can't help but worry and question his decisions.

Suddenly, all their attention turned towards the door when someone knocked. Damon and the others exchanged glances before making his way towards the front door.

When the door opened, it revealed...no one. No one was behind the door. Damon pushes his eyebrows together in both confusion and suspicion as he looks around, trying to find whoever it is that knocked. But there was no one.

However, when his eyes landed on the floor, there he saw a flier of the upcoming Founder's Ball tomorrow night. He bends down to pick up the flier before shutting the front door.

He had seen a lot of these around town, parties arranged by the founding families are like tradition in this town. Considering that he and Stefan are part of the founding families, they are obliged to attend.

"What is it?" Asked Ric.

Damon reads the front of the paper before flipping it to see if there's anything written at the back. And yes there is. His confused expression disappeared and turned into an aggravated one as he turned the back of the paper towards everyone for them to read.

Save me a dance, will you?
-C.F.

"I believe someone's in need of a proper beating, Salvatore." Lucien said with a smirk planted on his lips.

Damon glances at him and returns the smirk, the two once again getting along because even though they try to deny it, the two understand each other.

"I believe you're right, Castle."

I'm so tired. I hate online classes. I wish I can be a vampire and just rip--no, too much. Maybe I'll just compel my teachers to stop abusing our physical and mental health.
