โWell, that's one hell of a twist.โž

ย  ย ย  PARIS WIDENS HER eyes as soon as those words left Lucien's mouth. Out of all the things he could think of, he thought of that.

"You mean the serum that would require for me to die and be a vampire?" Paris said with sarcasm.

"Not just any vampire. An upgraded vampire. A vampire far more powerful than an original!" Lucien stated.

However, as much as that amazes Lucien, Paris feels the exact opposite.

"None of that makes me feel better." Paris said before she walked out on Lucien but he stopped her

In his mind, this is the solution that everybody's been looking for. In Paris's mind, well, it's nothing more than a mistake waiting to be made.

"Paris just listen. Once you take the serum, you will die and then Camila will move on. When you've turned into a vampire, she can't take over your body anymore since you're already dead. And because of the serum, you'll gain more control over yourself." Lucien tries to persuade Paris again but she made it clear about how she feels about that idea.

"I'm not going to take that serum, Lucien. Do you understand me? Never. I'm desperate to get this thing out but not desperate enough to turn myself into a vampire. So, could you please drop that godawful plan." Paris responded.

Paris opens the front door and left Lucien standing outside, disheartened that Paris had turned down his offer. Although, he expected it. He expected Paris to reject his idea. But he still attempted to convince her that it's the only way, not only because it could save her from Camila, but also because he can't bear the thought of losing her.

For the short amount of time that they've spent together, Lucien surprisingly developed feelings for her, which also shocked Lucien, considering the fact that the only person he ever fell in love with before Paris was that psycho from earlier. Aurora de Martel.

"Paris turned down your offer. I'm shocked!" Damon said sarcastically.

Lucien looked over to his direction before his facial expression turned into an irritated one.

"Oh, wait. Not shocked. Because Paris wants to live her life. And what you're offering is the exact opposite of living her life." Damon pointed out while he approached Lucien, who is still standing on the porch of the Fell's Residence.

"I knew she wouldn't accept my suggestion. I know her." Lucien said with nonchalant.

"But not as much as I know her. So, if you don't mind, stop following her. If you do, well, I don't care." Damon said.

The tension between the two men was heavy. Damon knows what Lucien feels about Paris. And even though he won't admit it, he feels threatened.

Instead of giving what Damon wants, Lucien walked out on him before he uses his vampire speed to disappear from that place.

Damon scoffs before he takes one more look at Paris's house and leaves.

Once Damon went home, he stops in front of a slightly opened door of the Salvatore Boarding House. He furrowed his eyebrows then pushed the door completely open, revealing a dead Alaric on the ground.

"Goddammit, Ric." Damon groaned.

He rushed towards the body of his best friend and grabs his hand to check if he is wearing his ring. Thankfully, he is.

Damon sighs in relief before he tries to figure out what happened. Although, what happened there isn't really much of a riddle.

Alaric gasps awake as his body jerked upright. He swallowed hard and breathes heavily while he looked around him. His eyes landed last on his vampire best friend.

"You had one job, Ric," Damon said slightly angry before he stood up.

"None of us knew that Aurora would wake up earlier than expected. Plus, a thousand-year-old vampire versus an unarmed human isn't exactly a fair fight." Ric said while he struggled to stand up.

"We need to get to Paris. Now." Damon said and Ric agreed.

The both of them left the Salvatore Boarding House to get to Paris before Aurora does. While Damon goes fast and furious down the road, Ric pulls out his phone from his pocket and dialed Paris's number to warn her that Aurora is coming for her yet again.

In the Fell's Residence, Paris was cooking a meal for herself. The day had her so exhausted, little did she know, that her day's going to get a lot worse.

Paris's phone vibrated and rang on top of the kitchen counter and Paris looked over her shoulder before she leaves what she's cooking for a moment. Ric's name popped up in her phone and Paris answered.

"I'm fine, Ric. You don't have to worry." Paris informed him.

"No. You're not fine. Aurora's escaped. Stay inside your house. Lock all the doors and windows. No matter what happens, do not invite her in." Ric told her.

Panic sparked inside Paris as she moves quickly to lock the doors. But when she left the kitchen, she saw the front door open and Aurora is standing outside with a chilling grin on her face.

"There you are. I gotta admit, that Alaric guy, is so cute. Too bad I had to kill him. But judging by the voice from that phone of yours, I'd say his deathย  was only temporary." Aurora said.

"You're not invited in. You can't use me to get the serum anymore." Paris pointed out.

Aurora tilted her head and narrowed her eyes before she chuckled at the brunette's response.

"Hate to break it you, love, but my business here in Mystic Falls is more than just obtaining the serum. You see, Paris, Camila and I go way back--" Aurora said. The mention of Camila's name made Paris's jaw drop. "--And whilst you were blacking out due to Camila's appearance--" Aurora walks past the door frame and steps inside the house. "--She invited me in." She finished.

Paris gives a shaky sigh before she turned around to run for her life. But before she could even leave Aurora's sight, Aurora speeds her way towards Paris and blocked the brunette's path.

"Let's pick up where we left off, shall we?" Said Aurora.

Aurora grabs Paris and banged her head against the wooden dresser, causing her to lose her consciousness as she crumbled to the ground.

Damon and Ric arrived at Paris's house, but when they saw the front door wide open, both of them quickly engaged.

"I hate thousand-year-old vampires." Damon said as he approached the house.

Ric and Damon searched the whole house and there was no sign of Paris or even Aurora. Damon cursed under his breath before he ran out of the house.

"Damon! Where are you going?" Ric called for him.

"We're gonna need someone if we want to save Paris."

Paris opens her eyes slowly and finds herself lying on a bed, inside an enclosed cell. She shot upright and starts to panic already as she looks around the room she's in.

"Ready for round two?" Aurora suddenly said from outside the door.

Aurora opened the door and she steps inside as she examines the fragile brunette.

"You must have a lot of questions." Aurora said.

"Yeah. Let's start with what the hell do you know about Camila?" Paris said, trying to put up a strong and brave act. However, under all that, Aurora can sense the fear practically radiating off her.

"Ah, yes. Camila Fell. Well, she and I have a... strong connection." Aurora stated.

Paris narrowed her eyes at the vampire before she realized what Aurora meant.

"You two were in a relationship? But I thought she loved Damon that's why she created the Fell curse, to punish us and to be with him." Paris asked.

"You're right about the curse part but there's one correction. She created the curse so, she could be with me. Damon's merely a puppet, to get us everything we need. Don't tell him that, though." Aurora said then chuckled.

Paris looks down to the ground with her eyes widened as she takes in the information.

"Well, that's one hell of a twist." Paris groaned as she stretched her aching legs. Her position while she was unconscious wasn't really a comfortable one, hence, the aching limbs.

"I know, right? Anyway, I'm tired of the body-snatching thing. I want her, in her own body. That's why you are here, as well as she." Aurora said while she pointed to the door.

Paris furrowed her eyebrows before she turns her eyes towards the two men holding a girl with shackles around her wrists. They push the girl inside the cell with Aurora and Paris.

Once the girl's eyes landed on Paris she gasps in both shock and relief.

"Paris!" She said as she approached the brunette.

"Bonnie?" Paris said.

She quickly stands up from the bed and met Bonnie halfway. The two embraced each other for a moment before they both pull away from each other.

"Are you okay?" Bonnie asked her.

"Not for long." Aurora said then grabs Paris by the hair and takes her away from Bonnie.

Paris whimpers at how strong Aurora's grip is on her hair, making Bonnie worry about her friend's well-being.

"What are you doing?" Bonnie asked.

Aurora glances at the door and nods at the men standing outside. A man walks inside the cell and places a gray marble urn and a piece of paper on top of the only table in the room.

"Those are the ashes of my Camila. I need you to re-mold her body using the spell written on that paper." Aurora instructed her.

"And why would I do that?" Bonnie said.

"Because if you don't, precious Paris here will deal with the consequences."

"You won't kill her. You need her alive."

"Who said anything about killing her? When you don't comply, I will hurt her so bad that her scream will be the only sound you will be hearing. Then when she's on the verge of dying, I'll heal her right back up with a little vamp blood, then I'll hurt her again, repeating the cycle as many times necessary." Aurora threatened.

Bonnie' swallowed hard at Aurora's threat. She clenched her jaw and sighs before she makes her way towards the urn and the spell. Bonnie frowns at the requirements for the spell before she faced Aurora again.

"It said I need to channel the energy of a Nexus Vorti. A rare occurrence." Bonnie said.

"That's why I chose to arrive in Mystic Falls on this particular day, love. What do you say, Paris? Want to watch the meteor shower?" Aurora said.

Aurora approached the witch to dismantle the shackles from her hands but before she did, she warned her first.

"If you do anything stupid, just know, I won't hesitate to kill Paris. Camila will be back in another Fell's body. But unlike Camila, Paris won't." Aurora threatened.

Bonnie looked at the vampire in both fury and fear as Aurora threatened Paris's life. She removed the shackles and allowed Bonnie to perform the spell.

"La cendre ร  l'os, de la chair ร  la vie. De la cendre ร  l'os, de la chair ร  la vie.
La cendre ร  l'os, de la chair ร  la vie. De la cendre ร  l'os, de la chair ร  la vie." Bonnie chanted.

Bonnie and the ashes of Camila are surrounded by salt as she performs the spell. Aurora and Paris stood back while they watch Camila's ashes move and form into a body made of cement.

Bonnie could feel blood running down her nose and chin, yet she didn't let that stop her. If that means saving Paris, then she'll do whatever it takes.

Bonnie continues chanting, the ashes are now molded into a body-shaped cement and once every last bit of ash is assembled together, Bonnie stopped.

She opened her eyes and looks at the body with worry. Paris watches in horror and Aurora in excitement as the cement cracked. Bonnie backed away, her eyes not averting from Camila's body of cement continuing to crack.

Suddenly, all the cement cracked and fell off, revealing Camila's true body. Flesh, bone, blood and all.

Paris and Bonnie had their eyes widened in horror while Aurora approached Camila with a huge smile on her face.

"One more step, my love. And we'll be together again." Aurora whispered to Camila's body.

Bonnie went to Paris and they both watched Aurora admire Camila while they drown themselves in the fear of what will come next.
