"She up yet?" Destiny asked when Na'Jour walked past her.

"Nah." He said before walking away.

Jayla had fell into a coma the day they found her. KJ personally got a doctor to come to the house and have her in great care.

The house was overly quiet. No one talked. Not to each other, not on the phone. Nothing. The vibe was off and everyone was lowkey depressed because of the situation and worrying over Jayla.

Na'Jour, the most depressed and stressed, only checked on Jayla and called Sylvia to check up on his kids. He missed them like crazy. Besides that he didn't do anything else but lay in the room all day.

China, was also not okay. She didn't like to show it though. She would just avoid everyone and check up on Jayla late at night.

KJ, didn't really feel any type of way. He did feel somewhat guilty though when he introduced Bianca to Jayla. He felt like it was sort of his fault because he didn't trust the right people.

Even though he talks a lot, he stayed to himself cause barley anyone was speaking at all.

Destiny also didn't show that she wasn't okay. She would have her days but have Nari pleasure her to feel better.

Nari was just Nari, she was always quiet.

And Lando was just Lando.

Dee and Trell got locked up. lol.

Right after they were done cleaning up the police pulled up, questioned them but didn't believe a thing they said so they took them in.

China yawned coming out of her room to find something to eat. It wasn't her room because it was just the place she rented but it technically was because she stayed in it.

"Ain't shit in here." She mumbled looking around the kitchen. She hadn't ate for days and that was different for her because she ate all the time.

KJ came out of his room spotting China sitting on the kitchen counter as she stared at the floor.

"You good?" He asked opening the refrigerator.

She looked up at him before jumping off the counter. "I'm straight." She said before walking back in the room making sure to lock the door behind her.

"Bitch must be on her damn period.." KJ mumbled pouring him a cup of juice.

Destiny sighed heavily as she held Jayla's cold hand in hers. Nari was seated next to her.

"She'll be okay.. she's not dead." Nari said making Destiny cut her eye at her.

"Sorry.."

Destiny looked up at the doctor and spoke. "How soon do you think she'll wake up?"

"I don't think she'll stay in this coma for that long. She's really strong because the amount of times she got hurt and hit in the head you would think she would be dead by now." The doctor said.

Destiny nodded, staring at her sister.

"I'll let you guys have y'all time.." The doctor walked out.

"Hopefully she wakes up soon." Nari said.

"Hopefully.. I miss her so much. I just want her to wake up and I wanna tell her how sorry I am and how much I want our bond back. I hate that I had to pick between her and Skyler." Destiny started to tear up.

"You didn't have to choose. You choose to and you showed where your loyalty laid when you did. You knew Sky fucked Lando FIRST and you never thought about telling Jayla. Then when they fought you basically chose Skyler over Jayla. You know Skyler has something against her. It's obvious Destiny. So if anything, you should've cut Skyler off. You only knew her for about a year. Sister or not, Jayla is the real one on your team and you lost her." Nari said.

Destiny stared at Nari as Nari stared back with a non-readable face expression.

She shook her head not wanting to agree but she knew Nari was right. "I didn't even choose.. Jayla decided to cut me off."

"Because what you did was wrong Destiny. Just admit that. Then you set her up when you asked Na'Jour to come to the house. I know she was wrong for not telling him about his son but that wasn't your place. She probably would've told him, she's not that bitter. She just probably wasn't ready." Nari said.

"I know.. your right."

Nari nodded looking off.. it got silent before she spoke again.

"I feel bad too though.. on my part." Nari rubbed her left arm.

"Why?" Destiny raised an eyebrow.

"When we saw him.." She trailed off.

"Oh! Yeah.." Destiny remembered what she was talking about.

"I don't know why I let him go.. I don't know why I keep forgiving my father knowing exactly what he did to me. And now he's on the run.. what if he comes back?" Nari ranted.

"He's not gonna come back." Destiny reassured.

Nari stared at the wall remembering what happened the day they found Jayla..

"Dad?"

"Nari?! What are you doing here?" Nari's dad looked her up and down then eyed Lando and Destiny.

"What are you doing here?" She tilted her head.

He looked around. "I work here? Whβ€” why are you even questioning me?"

"You work with Elijah?" Destiny spoke.

"I don't know who that is." He lied.

"Aye, don't forget I got the gun foo." Lando said putting the gun against his forehead.

"Ay-aye ioβ€”"

"Why do you work for Elijah and what all did he have you do for him?" Destiny tilted her head.

He instantly started to snitch, not caring anymore because he didn't want to die.

"He made me come down here and said he would pay me good money, good good money like 200k so I came here and helped him kidnap your sister and we tortured her and he made me install cameras in your sister's house and made me follow them sometimes. And he also made me hit you with my truck which caused your accident and I'm the one who told the doctors to tell your sister they couldn't see you and he made me drug you." He rambled on.

"Damn nigga you a rat." Lando shook his head.

"Yo-you.. wow." Destiny said in shock.

"Can I kill him now?"

"Yeaβ€”"

"No." Nari said.

"No?" Both Destiny and Lando looked at her.

Her dad smiled as he looked at her. He was very manipulative and you could say she was under whatever spell he had on her.Β

"Just let him go.." She looked at them with pleading eyes before looking at her dad.

"Your gonna go. I don't know where but your gonna leave. Not to Atlanta. Not some other city round here. Far far away. And your never gonna come back. Your never gonna harm me, Destiny, or Jayla again." She ordered.

Her dad raised an eyebrow.

"Are you asking me or telling me?"

"I'm telling you. If you come back or do anything else.." She trailed off before she looked at Lando. "He's gonna kill you." She pointed at him.

Lando put his gun down as he glared at her.

"Aye, Ian in this." He mugged.

"This some bullshit." Destiny shook her head.

"You know what the fuck you doing when you say some shit like that? Anybody could be coming after me just cause I'm apparently after him. Don't just be giving out death threats like that."Β  Lando mugged.

"Can you jusβ€”"

"Nari he's right. Why would you do that? We could've just killed him." Destiny said.

"He gone now." Lando said catching their attentions.

When they looked, her dad had already vanished.

"Cmon, China finna come in here." Destiny softly grabbed Nari's hand making her snap out of her thoughts.

She stood up and followed Destiny out of the room.

"They not sleepy or nun?" Na'Jour asked Sylvia over the phone.

"Nuh uh, they was fighting damn near all day then took a fat ass nap after. They was sleep for like hours." Sylvia laughed.

"Who won?" He asked.

"It was a lil tie." She shrugged.

"You know damn well my son won." He chuckled.

"Aht aht, not too much cause my daughter held hers." She rolled her eyes.

"They been getting along?" He asked.

"Sorta.. I mean I guess he realized he stuck with us for now so it won't be easy ignoring us all week."

"Mm.. what they doing?"

Sylvia flipped the camera revealing Kaiser and Ezariah watching TV together but on opposite sides of the couch.

"It's a hate and love typa thing." She laughed flipping it back around.

"Lemme talk to Kai."

Sylvia nodded handing Kaiser the phone.

"Wassuh da." Kaiser said making Na'Jour smile.

"Wassup Kai, what you doing?"

"TV." Kai held the phone up facing the TV.

"Chillin witcha sister huh?" Na'Jour smirked knowing what he was doing.

Kaiser mugged his dad before hanging up.

Na'Jour laughed loudly for the first time in a while before calling back.

The phone answered on the last ring.

"Why you hang up on me bruh?" He laughed as Kaiser looked at him with a scowl.

"Cuh, dat not my sista!" Kaiser said.

"Mane whateva. You mean as shit yo. Give the phone to your sister."

Kaiser only glared at him.

"Ight ight, give the phone to Zari." Na'Jour laughed correcting himself.

Kaiser threw the phone at Ezariah making her scream and run towards him.

"Unt unt aht aht aht." Sylvia quickly grabbed her. "Come talk to ya daddy."

"Hmph." Ezariah snatched the phone and stared at her dad with a mug.

"You mad at me Zari?" He said.

"No." She shook her head. "I just wan play witchu."

"Youn think I pay any attention to you?" He asked.

She nodded. "And you never pick me up no mo." She said.

Sylvia sipped on her tea as she listened to their conversation from afar.

Na'Jour sighed heavily before speaking. "I know Zariah and I apologize. I just gotta lot of stuff on my plate and you just gotta be patient with me and stuff. I'm tryna spend and make up time that I missed with Kaiser. You know he just popped up right? So I'm tryna have fun with him to." He tried explaining in a simple way.

"But he not a lil baby." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"I know." Na'Jour nodded.

"So how he just come?" She said confused.

"He was a mystery." Na'Jour whispered and Zariah gasped before looking at Kaiser.

"Look. You can't tell him he's a mystery! Cause he doesn't know. You was a mystery too. Y'all all some mystery's." Na'Jour said.

nicer version of mistake lol.

Ezariah giggled as she nodded.

"Okay you understand now?" He said.

"Yes."

"Ight, ima play with you and yo lil dolls soon okay?"

"Okay."

"Love you."

"Luh you bye." She kissed the phone before hanging up.

Na'Jour shook his head laying down in his bed..

"Here mommy." Ezariah handed her mom the phone.

"He not on the phone no more?" Sylvia grabbed it.

"Unt unt." Zariah sat on her mom's lap.

Kaiser stared at them before walking up.

"When my mommy come home?" He asked.

Sylvia stared at him not knowing exactly what to say. Na'Jour hadn't told her anything, he didn't even tell her that they had Jayla yet so she had no idea if they were coming home anytime soon.

"Your mommy gonna come home real soon okay.. we just gon keep our prayers up and I promise you'll see her walking through that door right there waiting for a biggg hug." Sylvia said.

"'Mm.." Kaiser eyed her as he sat back down. "You sure?"

"Promise." She rubbed his back.

He nodded looking at the TV..
