"You sure you don't want me to go in there with you?" Zion asked as he looked over at Sevyn who was sitting in the passenger side of the car

"I'm sure." She muttered out as she looked ahead. Her eyes looked at the big building in front of her, reading off the sign of her dad's old photography studio.

𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙.

Confused is the only word you could describe Sevyn's feelings right now. Not only was she confused, she was 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙤𝙪𝙩.

To see her father, who she watched- literally die right in front of her, and seeing him alive and healthy, spooked her.

It's been a good two days after her grandfather's death, and when she met eyes with Syx .

After she told Zion that the man that was looking their way was her father, Syx came over and gave her a piece of paper before walking out the hospital.

Sevyn wanted to go after him but, she was stuck. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to comprehend. It was just to much for her at the moment.

Zion on the other hand went after him. But all Syx said was, "Tell her to open the paper." and walked off.

When Sevyn got to the hotel that night, she opened the paper, and seen a familiar address on there. Under it, it had her dad's hand writing saying, '𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤.'

That night she cried herself to sleep. Of course Zion was there to console her but it still didn't help that all these years it felt like she's been lied to.

To say her life couldn't get any worse then it is now. He chooses the time to pop up from the dead and do some crazy shit like this. Is literally insane.

It felt like she was in a twilight zone.

"Sevyn, how you know that man in there is your daddy and not his twin that faked his death?" Zion asked out of the blue,

He thought about this question since the hospital incident. Zion felt like it was strange, that her dad would just fake his death and then comeback when she just so happened to be in town when her grandfather died.

It was all weird.

"Cause I know Zion. It may sound weird, but I felt this connection when our eyes met.

The connection I felt when he "died" vanished but when I seen him at the hospital. It came back." She explained as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Sevyn quickly wiped it away and let out a stiff laugh as she looked over at him, "I don't even know why I'm crying, I'm sorry,"

"Sevyn don't apologize for something you can't control." Zion stated truthfully as he held her shoulder,

"Don't get yourself all worked up, just go in there and hear his side of the story. If you feel like his reasoning is bullshit, just walk out and we'll go back home.

And you not out in twenty minutes, I'm coming in there and I'm knocking all his lights and backdrops down." He joked

Sevyn laughed as she sniffed and wiped her tears away taking in Zion's suggestion.

She looked back at Syair who was to busy eating her Happy Meal and watching Blues Clues on her tablet to even notice what was going on.

"Okay, I'll be back." She aware Zion as she opened the door and hopped out of the car

Sevyn walked into the studio taking in the atmosphere. She looked around the building seeing some of employees work. Some were setting up cameras while others were doing things like making props.

She looked around the room chuckling to herself as reminisced on all the good times she had here.

Just remembering how Syx used to pick her up every weekend and take her here, so she could be his little helper, something that she used to love doing.

This place was her safe house at one point and time.

The receptionist who was sitting close by, watched Sevyn as she looked around the place.

She stood up from her spot and straighten out her yellow maxi dress that went very well with her skin tone might I add as she walked over to Sevyn

The sound of her Vuitton Louis heels clicked clacked against the tile floors drawn Sevyn from out of her daze and made her look over to her left, seeing her walk up to her. Her big beautiful curly Afro, bounced, every stepped she made.

She gave Sevyn a warm smile showing her pearly whites, as she approached her,

"Hi, welcome to 'Vision Eyes', I'm Tonya, how may I help you today sweetie?" Her thick Dominican accent came out

"Hi, I'm actually looking for Syx Daniels."

"You must be Sevyn." Tonya asked, Sevyn only nodded while she gave her a small smile, "Mr.Daniels has been waiting for you. Follow me sweetie."

Sevyn sighed as she followed behind the receptionist. She looked around the spacious gym as she followed behind the lady to go to her daddy's office.

Inside, Syx watched Sevyn on the surveillance camera from the time she was talking to Zion in the car to the time she walked into his establishment.

The nerves in Syx's body expanded when he watched them pull up. To be quite honest he was more nervous to having this meeting than Sevyn.

Syx had so much stuff to tell her and that he wanted her to know-no he had so much to tell her that she needed to know.

This conversation he was gonna have was either gonna make him or break him.

Knocks on his office door caused him to sit up from out of his thoughts. The doir slightly opened revealing his receptionist Tonya,

"Mr.Daniels, your daughter is here to see you." She announced

"Thank you, Tonya please bring her in." He spoke with enthusiasm, he stood up from his spot as the door opened wider revealing Sevyn

She thanked Tonya, before looking at Syx who stood there shitting bricks. No one said a word. They just looked at one another.

Sevyn looked at her father, for what felt like a lifetime, she analyzed his six foot frame, along with his his facial features he had goin on. His once dark sandy brown hair was now a salt and pepper mix color as peeks of grey ran through his waves.

His chocolate brown skin was slightly wrinkled of old age, and on top of that he wore his clear reading glasses on his face.

No lie Syx looked good for his age to Sevyn but it's still weird for her to see him like this when he is supposed to be dirt and bones.

Syx looked at his baby girl with so much love and happiness. Seeing her all grown up and not his little baby he used to pick up and did piggy back rides in the living room at his mother's house,

Syx laughed as he walked around his desk, "Wow. My little 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙮 is all grown up now."  He stood in front of her and took  her outfit,

"Look at you, got weave in ya head, wearing revealing clothing. I-where have my baby girl gone?"

It felt like only yesterday when Syx seen Sevyn    rocked  pigtails and barrettes and wore her favorite airbrushed Hello Kitty t-shirt and blue jeans shorts almost everyday because she loved the combination together.

"The real question is, where have you gone?" Sevyn asked as she tucked her hands in her black denim shorts

Honestly, Sevyn was already over this Kumbaya  session. She wanted to get down to the knitty gritty and go about her day, Sevyn had a lot of shit to do back in Atlanta that regarded her being physically there to work

Syx let out a stiff chuckle before crossing his arms, "Damn we're just gonna skip to the real reason why I asked you here?"

"Yeah we are. Ion feel like going down memory lane and choppin it up like we been long time friends and lost each other's contact or whatever you expected to happen. I need answers and I need them now."

She spoke calmly while matching his stance with crossing her arms

Syx didn't expect his baby to talk to him like this, like she was just cold hearted—but then again, he's been "dead"  for most of her life so then again he did expect it

Syx laughed as he walked back around his desk and sat in his chair, he rubbed his chin hairs and sighed,

"Where do you want me to start?"

"From the beginning would be nice."

Syx stared at Sevyn for what felt like an hour, he knew that what he was gonna say will crush her heart. But he had to realize that she's not a little girl anymore and she needs to know everything.

"Remember a couple months ago, when your grandmother told you that whole sob story about Sincere being mentally ill and that he told her he was going to  kill me, and she knew about it?" He asked

Sevyn scrunched her face up , "How did you know we had that conver-."

"That day, I overheard them talking." He spoke as he cut her off, "I heard him telling her that he was gonna kill me. I'm not gone lie to you Sincere was always bark and no bite.

He always would tell me he would kill me and sell my body parts to some local psycho nigga he knew." He shrugged with a stiff laugh

"But I don't know—something in my spirit told me he was gonna actually do it." He expressed, as he picked with his chin hairs,

"That night I went to my friend—𝙂𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙩 house, and told him what was boutta go down."

"Who's Ghost?" Sevyn asked as she continued to have her arms crossed

"You've met him before a few times. I ain't want you around him like that because he was dangerous." He stated with a shrug, "Ghost, he was—well is a powerful man.

I helped him back in the day with a situation and in return he said he'll help me with mines."

"What situation did you help him with?"

"The same type of situation you and ya lil friend did about a month ago. Y'know movin bodies and such?" He looked at her intently as he watched her shift uneasily

Sevyn heart began to beat fast as she tried to get the image of the blood out of her head.

That situation is one thing she wanted to take to the grave but knowing that her father knows scares her, but what she wasn't gonna do is let him see her sweat.

She looked at him with a mug, knowing exactly what he was trying to do, he was trying to take  the heat off his back and put it in hers, but that wasn't gonna fly with her.

"Get back to the story." She gestured him

Syx only could laugh as he realized he got caught trying to change the subject, "In a matter of days we plotted, and we planned my death."

He took a deep breath as he leaned back in his rolling chair, "It wasn't easy trying to plan everything out, at the last minute. I remember on your birthday, that whole mornin I had a bad feeling.

I wanted to spend time with you one last time because I knew that the time was coming.

Once Sincere "shot" me I had to play dead. I heard your screams and I heard your cries but I had to make it believable."

By now Sevyn was pissed the fuck off. Just hearing him say that he heard her cries was fucked up on so many levels to her, she felt as if he didn't care.

He didn't care to whisper and say that he was okay or that it was just make believe at the time of her being so young he just ignored her and thought that she'll get over it

"So when the paramedics pronounced you dead, where did you go?" She asked

"I—" Syx sighed as he rubbed his forehead, "I uh, went to Florida to—stay with my ex and our ten year old daughter." He admitted

"Wow." Sevyn mumbled as she nodded her head, "You just keep sayin bullshit on top of bullshit."

"Sevyn watch ya mouth! I know you upset and everything but all that cussing shit is not gone fly wit me!"

"And if I don't?! What the fuck you gone do whoop me?!"

"Sevyn!" Syx warned as he stood up

Walking around his office finally, Sevyn looked at his bookshelf seeing pictures of him and some little girl, what looked to be Hawaii or Bahamas since they were in a tropical scenery, wearing matching shirts that had leaves on them,

She grazed her eyes to a more recent picture of the same girl that looked like she was in her late twenties in a cap and gown holding two degrees in her hands, the more Sevyn looked at the girl the more familiar she she looked,

Then it all clicked, this was the same girl who was at the photoshoot with the Leon, look alike. Saailor.

"I'm not even gonna get on the fact that you had another child out here, and you didn't tell me anything about her, right now, but—For you to even say you was out of town with your other daughter, makes me feel some type of way because, you left me traumatized by what you did, and to me felt like, you just dipped, and went about with your life without me is bogus as hell

Because here  I am thinking you died and that I would never see you ever again in life, but in reality you're  just livin your best life with this other child. I mean yall goin on trips, and celebrated her graduation with her, just watching your other baby grow up, and become something when I needed you here."

"That's not true Sevyn. That's not true at all. I've watched you grow up with my own two eyes. I just had to watch you from a far."

"Well how far were you watching me? Cause obviously you were far enough to not know what was happening to me since, you 'died'." Sevyn remarked as she folded her arms

"What are you talking about? I've been watching you since I disappeared."

"No you haven't. Cause if you did, you would've saved me from that bitch you nutted in!"

Syx raised his eyebrow and pointed, "Sevyn let this be your last time disrespecting me. I'm still ya father at the end of  the day!"

"I don't care who you are! You wasn't there! You faking your death put a whole tole on this damn family! Everybody went fucking psycho! You know deep down in your heart you could've came up with another plan that didn't have you faking your death.

You could've called the police, talked him out of it, anything but you took the easy route and pretended to die, you put stress on everyone and on top of that left me traumatized, I watched you die! I had bad dreams about that day to this damn day!

I was whooped  day and night, because I couldn't get those gun shots out of my head!  I was locked away like a damn dog, because I cried for you. Wanting to be with you!

Where were you, huh?! Where were you when I was getting knocked upside my head? Where were you when I tried to kill myself?" Sevyn asked as tears brimmed her eyes,

"Where were you when I was getting raped? I yelled out for you and you wasn't there for me! I needed you but you wasn't there!

Nobody is never there for me when I need them. You left me, with a fucking prostitute  ass druggy, who only gave a fuck about herself."

Syx sat there appalled, with tears of his own coming down his face, hearing everything his baby had to say.

He knew this was her ranting  at all the built up anger she wanted to say to him when he 'died' over the years.

He was going to allow her to let it all out. But hearing how she wanted to kill herself and was raped, hurt him to the core, knowing that she was going through that alone.

He didn't even let her finish, before he pulled her into his embrace. He held her into his arms, as she began to bawl into his chest.

"I'm sorry! Sevyn I'm so sorry! I didn't know that happened to you" He mumbled as he kissed her forehead multiple times, "Please forgive me, baby girl, forgive me." He pleaded

All the pain Sevyn, held in through the years, was released into her father's arms, she would never say it, but it felt good, letting all the shit she's been holding in come out.

She needed it.

" Get off of me!" Sevyn yelled as she pushed her father off her, she didn't want no sympathy. Specially to a man, that could've prevented all of this from happening.

To her Syx was just like everybody else in her damn family, a muthafuka that only cared about himself and nobody else.

Sevyn looked at her father one last time before she walked out of his office. Syx didn't bother to go after her, because he knew she needed some space.

She was just like that, but this wouldn't stop him from trying to be in his child's life, for crying out loud he have a whole grand baby he want to meet and have a bond with.

But as for Sevyn, she don't want any relations with him.

Not now, maybe not even ever.
