The town of Stars Hollow hadn't always bored the youngest of the Gilmores, but as she grew older, living by the same routine with the same people; she got frustrated. Every day she had woken up, walked to Lukes Diner and greeted the same odd charactered townspeople on her way. Not that Miss Patty or Kirk hadn't always brightened her mornings with their backhanded compliments or whatever strange dream they'd had the night beforeβ€”it just didn't seem to be enough anymore.

That's when Molly and her childhood best friends, Wyatt and Izzy had decided they'd make their routines a bit more exciting. Whether it be sabotaging Taylor Doose's newest tourist attraction or sharing a joint in the town square at two in the morning and raiding Luke's kitchen. It was better than nothing, they were sixteen year old kids, a little bit of fun wouldn't hurt anyoneβ€”even if Taylor claimed it would.

Molly had begun her usual morning skate from her home, down the streets of Stars Hollow, ignoring the many 'no skateboarding' sign's Taylor had put up in spite of her. Her walk-man stuck from her sweatshirt pocket, blasting the most recent mixtape Wyatt had made her. Like most days, she'd left the house before her mother and sister, wanting to get the first cup of freshly made coffee.

Nearing the small diner, she pushed her headphones around her neck and kicked off of her board, tucking it under her arm and pushing open the door with a smile. Luke's diner had been her favorite place in all of Stars Hollow, she'd spent more nights in the kitchen making pancakes with Wyatt than she had in her own room. It was practically her second home, which served the best coffee and had the grumpiest of owners.

The bell that hung over the door rang, announcing her arrival to the two Danes males and few customers. Molly was quick to hide her board behind one of the customers chairs, knowing Luke would yell at her for bringing it inside. When she got up to the counter, taking a seat at one of the many bar stools, she was handed a full cup of coffee without having asked.

"Ah, Luke you know me so well." Molly grinned, taking several packets of sugar from the container sat on the counter. Luke watched her with disgust as she dumped the packets into the full mug.

"You have a problem." Luke told her, grimacing as she stirred around the six sugars.

"I know." Molly mumbled, taking the mug into both her hands, allowing the heat to warm them as she took a long drink. "Mm, incredible! Now, where's your son?" She asked, setting down the cup when she realized she had yet to be greeted by the blonde teen. Luke pointed up at her question, answering her without words and she rolled her eyes.

"Watch my coffee." She said, giving him a stern stare and spinning out of the stool to run up the stairs to the loft. Molly hadn't bothered to knock, swinging open the door leading into Wyatt's cluttered room across from the apartment. Kicking her way through the piles of clothing and old records, she got to his bed, hearing soft snores coming from beneath the comforter.

The redhead took no time jumping onto the sleeping boy, wrapping her arm's around him as he began to struggle beneath the blanket. Multiple curses left his mouth, muffled by the fabric and she moved the blanket from his face, smiling widely down at him. He glared at her in return, having been woken rudely from a good dream.

"Rise and shine, blondie." Molly sang out, flicking the tip of his nose and rolling off of him. She laid onto his comfortable twin sized bed, on her side to make room in the small space.

Wyatt groaned, kicking her away and bringing the blanket back over his face, "what time is it?"

Molly glanced over to his alarm clock, "seven o' four." She answered, tugging at the blanket as he lazily rolled out from beneath the covers. "You should really clean your room." Molly said, laying back against his partially broken headboard, watching him make his way to his closet.

"You do realize that half of these clothes are yours, right?" He questioned, taking a random t-shirt from the rack and tugging it over himself.

"You clothes thief!" Molly gasped out, earning an 'are you serious' look in return. She knew in reality that she'd been the true clothing thief, having traded her own shirts for one of Wyatt's more comfortable band t's.

"Go downstairs, I'll be down in like five minutes." He yawned out, rubbing his still half asleep eyes while waving her to the door. Molly jumped up from the bed, easily complying, having been satisfied that he was now awake.

Walking back into the diner, the stool's beside hers were now occupied by two men in their late twenties. Molly didn't bother to pay any mind to them as she took her seat. Luke quickly sliding her coffee back over to her from behind the counter, the usual disappointed written over his face as he watched her drink it.

"Hey." Molly nearly choked on her coffee as the man beside her greeted her with a smug grin.

She slowly turned to face the man, a brow raised as she set her mug onto the counter, "hi?" She questioned, slightly uncomfortable with the close proximity of the older male.

"Come here often?" He asked, she struggled not to laugh at the obvious overused pick-up line.

"Mhm." Molly answered dryly, her mouth stuck into a thin line.

"I'm Joey." The man held out his hand for her to shake, the teen only staring questionably at it in return. "Germaphobe?" He asked, unable to take a simple hint that she wanted nothing to do with him.

"Perv-aphobe." Molly answered, his mouth curving up as she watched his brows furrow, confusion taking over his once flirtatious face.

"She's sixteen you fucking idiot." Wyatt was now behind the counter, fully dressed with his beaten up baseball cap backwards over his overgrown blonde locks. The man, Joey, let his eyes widen at the statement, slowly moving away from the redhead. "That's what I thought." Wyatt scuffed, sending a hard glare to the man before making his way around the counter.

"I had it handled!" Molly told him, spinning around in the stool as he sat beside her.

"I'm sure you did." Wyatt mumbled, clicking his jaw closed as his brows popped up momentarily. His morning now ruined by the man sat behind her. Then his attention drew to the door, smiling slightly, "uh oh, here comes Lorelai." Wyatt chuckled, watching as the woman made her entrance into the diner, setting her coat onto an empty table.

Lorelai took one of the coffee cups, grinning to her daughter before turning to Luke. "Please, Luke? Please, please, please." She pleaded, knowing he was likely to try and turn down her extreme caffeine addiction. Luke didn't pay a glance to the woman, continue to work behind the counter.

"Think he'll give it to her?" Wyatt asked quietly as they watched Luke not dare to bat an eye at the older Gilmore.

"Duh, he always caves."

"How many cups have you had this morning?" Luke asked, now turning to the woman.

"None."

"Plus?"

"Five." Lorelai answered with an innocent smile, "but yours is better."

"You both have a problem." Luke stated, pointing between Lorelai and her youngest daughter.

"Yes we do." They answered in sync, both smiling without a care as Lorelai held out her cup. Luke took the cup, filling it as he glared her down.

"Told ya." Molly mumbled, nudging Wyatt's side with her elbow.

"Dad, you can't cave like that! When they ask, you simply say no, gotta keep them wanting more." Wyatt said, throwing the dish towel that sat on the counter to his father who rolled his eyes in return.

"Can you refill this?" Molly asked the blonde, a small smirk hiding behind her lips as Wyatt reached for the coffee pot without hesitation. "You're an idiot, WD." She laughed out, the blonde's mouth falling open briefly as he realized what he'd done.

"Why's he an idiot today?" Molly spun around excitedly in her chair as she heard her best friend.

"For being a blonde." Molly joked, earning a pinch to her side from the boy behind her.

"Who's the dude flirting with your mom?" Izzy asked, nodding over to where Lorelai had sat, the same man who'd tried for Molly now trying for her mother.

"He's resilient, that's for damn sure." Wyatt muttered, watching the man carefully as Lorelai seemed to have turned him down. "Who's next; Rory?" Wyatt joked, rolling his eyes at the man took a seat at the counter once again.

"What happened?" Izzy questioned, unaware of the what happened moments before.

"The guy tried to make a move with me, now Wyatt's acting all big bad wolf." Molly answered, glancing to the door as her twin walked in.

Wyatt leaned forward in his seat, resting his chin on the redhead's shoulder, "only for you, little red ri- ow!" Wyatt whined out, his face being shoved back forcefully by Molly and the two girls laughed.

"I'm gonna go steal some of that lipgloss." Izzy said, pointing to Lorelai and Rory as the woman pulled out endless amounts of lipgloss and lipsticks. "Then I need to get to school early for an early Model UN meeting, so please, don't do anything stupidβ€” not without me." She was sure to add the last part, knowing that at least if she was there, their actions wouldn't be too consequential.

"When have we ever done anything stupid?" Molly retorted, slapping her hand over her chest, acting to be innocent. Izzy rolled her eyes, making her way over to Rory as Lorelai got up from the table.

"It's not for me! It's for Rory, I swear." Lorelai defended herself as Luke glared her down once again, seeing her arrive back to the counter with an empty mug.

"Got the gloss!" Izzy exclaimed, holding a tube of vanilla scented lipgloss in her hand.

"Put it on meβ€”"

"Uh, he's got quite a pair this guy." The trio turned their attention as Wyatt was interrupted, noticing the man had now in fact, made his way to Rory.

"Oh, this'll be good." Molly mumbled, watching her mother make her way back to the table. They were unable to hear what Lorelai was saying to the man, but she seemed upset and that was enough for them.

"If she doesn't hit him, can I?" Wyatt asked, once again leaning over Molly's shoulder to watch the events unfold.

"Is everyone in this town sixteen?" The man suddenly asked, staring back at the redhead, Molly cowering in her seat, her hand cupping her mouth as she muffled a laugh.

"That's also my daughter." Lorelai claimed, waving to Molly who waved back.

"Bye." The man was quick to leave, his friend following him out.

"Drive safe, pervs!" Wyatt called out, waving to the men as they exited the diner without daring to look back.

"Did he hit on you too?" Lorelai asked Molly, taking notice of Wyatt's protective demeanor.

"Yeah, some creep he was." Molly answered, stepping down from her stool and making her way to the chair she'd stuck her board behind. Wyatt and Izzy both followed her to the door, ready to leave the diner to get to school. "Coming, Rory?" Molly asked her sister, the older of the two shaking her head with a soft smile.

"Finishing my coffee, I'm meeting up with Lane before class." Rory answered, taking her backpack from behind the chair and opening it. "Mom stole your cd." The redhead gasped when she saw the Oasis disc, quickly taking it from her sister.

"To be fair, I thought it was Rory's! You both have so many copys of the same music." Lorelai said, taking a seat the table.

"I'm sure." Molly retorted with a light hearted laugh, moving over to her mom and hugging her quickly. "See you after school, love you." Molly mumbled as Lorelai squeezed her back tightly.

"Love you too, and you better tell me if you three decide to do something! I'm tried of just assuming my kid is safe." Lorelai told her, letting go and Wyatt grinned widely as she pointed directly to him. "Izzy, don't let him get her into any more trouble." She directed, waving her finger around to make herself come across as serious.

Though Lorelai had very rarely been a serious parent, always coming across as more of a friend, she'd been stern with Molly more times than she had Rory. It wasn't as if she'd picked a favorite child, it had just been that Molly was more difficultβ€”she always had been.

It terrified Lorelai, because although Rory resembled her in looks, Molly resembled her in traits. It had made liking Wyatt more difficult for the Gilmore woman, since he'd seemed to have a strong influence on her daughter. Lorelai had multiple fears when it came to her youngest daughter, Wyatt being her biggest.

"It's more like her getting me intoβ€” okay! I'm going!" Wyatt yelled as Izzy pushed him out the door, not allowing him to tell Lorelai that it was in fact Molly corrupting him.

"Don't worry, I've got a water sprayer in case they're misbehaving!" Izzy joked as the three exited the diner, Lorelai yelled something out but as the door closed they were unable to hear what she had to say.

"We're not cats." Wyatt claimed, tugging his jacket over himself as the cold late fall breeze hit them. "It's like negative fifteen, why are we walking?" He complained, the two girls at his side's stared at him momentarily as if he were an idiot.

"WD, look up." Izzy told him, smacking his chest with the back of her hand and he complied. "That's our school, I could throw a rock at it."

Wyatt snickered under his breath, "you couldn't throw that far."

"Danes! Gilmore!" The second the teen's heard their names being called out, they knew they'd done something wrong. The pair turned to each other with furrowed brows, tempted to run and hide from the wrath of Taylor but they hadn't recalled doing anything wrong in the last twenty-four hours.

"What'd you two do?" Izzy asked, staring at her best friends with wide eyes.

Wyatt shrugged, "I didn't do anything, Cherry?"

"Nothin', it's Taylor he's probably just pissed we're breathing his air." Molly answered and the three turned around, the older man wearing his usual layered sweater and khakis marching over to them. He held a clipboard in his hands and the three rolled their eyes, realizing what he was about to do.

"There are two packets of skittles missing from my shelves, you will pay for them or I willβ€”"

"We didn't steal shit, Taylor." Wyatt stated, his arms crossing over his chest as he stood annoyed. The older man's face scrunched, several inaudible words leaving his mouth and he shook his head.

"Did you check under the shelf? Thing's do fall sometimes." Izzy told him, her voice soft in order to not upset the man any more than he already had been. It wasn't unusual for Taylor to miscount items and automatically blame them for stealing, though they'd never actually stolen anything from him before.

Molly had rules to her mischief; no vandalism, no stealing and no putting anyone in harms way. She did have morals, Taylor just believed otherwise.

"Empty your pockets." Taylor said, the three didn't budge, staring back at him with blank expressions.

"Sorry, Taylor but we gotta get to school." Molly told him, a small grin coming to play on her freckled face. She dropped her skateboard onto the ground in front of him, watching his eyes bulge from their sockets.

"How many times have Iβ€”"

"See ya, grinch!" Molly jumped onto the board, kicking off and making a break for the school.

Taylor was too baffled to stop the three as they took off, Izzy yelling out several apologies to the man while Wyatt dragged her towards the school. Molly continued skating, leaving her two friends far behind her as she got to the school sidewalk. With her soeed picking up, she struggled to come to a stop, a tall boy walking slowly, several feet in front of her.

"Move or you're gonna get hit!" She yelled out, the boy only turning to look at her, frozen in the center of the sidewalk. As she'd warned him, she crashed directly into his chest, his hands holding her up as the board went flying past them.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice filled with concern though she hadn't fallen.

"I would be if you'd moved." Molly retorted, stepping back from him and removing her arms from his grasp.

"You didn't give me much of a warning." He responded, staring down at her with furrowed brows and big puppy dog eyes.

"I gave you plenty, you hear someone yell out 'move' you move, it's basic logic." She told him, moving after her board and he followed behind her. "Do you need something?" Molly asked, picking the board up into her hands and he shook his head.

"No, sorry, I'm new and I thoughtβ€”"

"She barely knows her own way around the school, it's actually my job to show around new kids." Izzy stepped up, knowing that Molly would respond rudely to him. Wyatt walked up behind her, paying a quick, questionable glance to the brunette male before making his way to Molly. The blonde's arm slung over her shoulder, looking down at her as she stared disgustedly to the unknown brunette.

"You good, cherry?" Wyatt asked, the redhead nodded, smiling up at him turning back towards the school.

"I just have a feeling I'm not gonna like him."

Molly and Rory walked to the independence inn around the same time after parting with their friends. Molly had stopped at the diner after school, getting herself a pastry and her mother a cup of coffee. While Rory had gone to Lane's, getting criticized by Mrs Kim.

"Can I have half?" Rory asked, watching her sister take a bite from the raspberry filled pastry. Molly frowned, pulling apart the pastry and handing a piece over.

"You owe me two dollars." Molly joked, stuffing another bite into her mouth happily.

"Of money that you didn't spend?" Rory questioned, knowing she likely had gotten away with taking it right from Luke's without either of the Danes' batting an eye.

Molly smiled widely, flashing her red stained teeth, "you get free coffee from Luke's all the time."

"Because the coffee is free! I pay for my pastry's." Rory retorted with a short laugh, walking up to the front desk where Michel was sat, his usual displeased face taking over as he saw the twins.

"Leave me be." His accented voice mumbled out, opening up a magazine to ignore the two.

"Where's our mom?" Rory asked, Molly leaned over the counter, snatching the magazine from his hands and looking through it.

Michel quickly tore it back from her, "kitchen." He answered, the two smiled widely at his response, making their way back.

"You're a doll, Michel!" Molly called out as they walked through the kitchen doors.

Lorelai was stood beside Sookie, holding a small gift bag in her hands and a wide smile, "you look happy." Rory stated, Lorelai let out a giggle and nodded.

"Did you do something slutty?" Molly questioned, her mother shook her head, the smile only growing wider:

"I'm not that happy." She answered, Sookie let out a short squeal as Lorelai handed the
