"hi, baby!" aspen giggled.

i shook my head with a small laugh at the voice she was using to talk to the puppy that was in her lap.

she looked up at me, and she looked at me with furrowed brows. "what?"

"nothing." i shook my head.

she narrowed her eyes before scrunching her nose up. she turned her attention back to the puppy, and she continued to talk to the puppy in the voice.

aspen is pretty.

like, really pretty. she's the type of pretty to make you question your entire sexuality.

i mean, i was already questioning it before i met her, but you get the point.

last week, whenever we went to the rooftop of the hotel we were staying in to stargaze, she called me pretty. even though i was practically freezing, being as we were in toronto at the time, i could face heat up and burn from blushing.

i'm not one to blush like that.

it admittedly caught me off guard, because it was kinda out of nowhere. like i said, it made me blush hella hard, and i couldn't help but smile.

i kinda wanted to kiss her in that moment.

"stop staring at me, weirdo." aspen giggled as she looked up from where she was playing with the puppy in her lap.

"i'm not." i flipped her off with a small chuckle.

she just giggled again with a smile.

whatever my sexuality is... it's definitely not straight.

"what do you keep fidgeting with?" my interviewer asked.

"this." i held up the fidget toy thing that aspen had gave to me back at that meeting.

"what is it?" his brows furrowed.

"just a little fidget toy. i don't know," i shrugged. "aspen gave it to me a while back."

he wiggled his eyebrows at that. "speaking of aspen... what's up with you two? we've got these here," he pulled out some paparazzi pictures, some from the first time we hung out at that coffee shop, and other's of just us holding hands while walking. "so... she's your girlfriend, or what?"

i smiled as my eyes darted side to side a few times, a sly look on my face. i shrugged, not saying anything.

i can feel brandon and danny watching me like a damn hawk, carefully listening for my answer.

"okay," he chuckled, then looked towards the camera. "take that as you will."

as if i don't basically do the same thing every time that question gets asked.

"can you tell me about her, at least?" he questioned as he raised a brow.

"i dunno, she's just so... down to earth. she's really cool, dude. honestly, she's one of my favorite people."

of course, i had to say something like that so that my managers wouldn't be pissed... but i was speaking truthfully.

almost as if on cue, aspen walked into the room. i glanced over at her, and i couldn't fight back a smile. she smiled as well, and she sent a small wave to me.

"okay, you can't see it, but aspen just walked into the room," the interviewer explained. "i mean, look at that smile." he chuckled.

i looked back at him. "man, shut up." i laughed as i kissed my teeth.

he continued the interview, eventually getting off the topic of me and aspen.

"are you okay? 'cause you're the one who needed space. and finally now i'm doing fine, you would rather see me cry."

i watched from backstage as aspen performed. she always compliments me on how good i perform and my control over the crowd, but she doesn't give herself enough credit.

she's really good.

i always make sure to tell her that after she's done performing too.

it always puts a cute smile on her face, and i love it.

she makes me feel things that i shouldn't be feeling.

we're just friends.

even though the entire internet thinks otherwise.

the only way i can describe it, is like when you had a friend when you were younger, and all of your other friends would always make comments about how you should date or how there's no way that you're not dating each other, even though the two of you were just friends.

soon enough, aspen's set was over. recently, after her set, she'll come crashing into my arms. then after my set, i'll come crashing into her arms.

i love it so much.

"you did so good, as always, aspirin." i told her genuinely.

"thank you." she chuckled as she pulled back to run her hand through her hair. she let out a small puff of air. "you ready?"

"of course." i nodded.

"isn't it lovely? all alone. heart made of glass, my mind of stone. tear me to pieces, skin to bone. hello, welcome home." me and aspen sang together as we walked towards each other, making eye contact.

of course, like every other show, the crowd cheered loudly.

they cheer over every little interaction of our's.

aspen turned towards the crowd as she then started singing her verse.

after the song was finished, i gave her our usual high-five after singing 'lovely' and i interlaced our fingers together for a moment. there was a smile on both of our faces as we did.

that has to be one of favorite parts of every show.

"i'm so tired." aspen complained as she opened the curtain to her bunk.

"aht aht." i shook my head as i walked up behind her. i wrapped my arms around her waist, and i picked her up. "you're sleeping with me tonight; we're cuddling and shit."

"alright, alright." she giggled, though i made no attempt to put her down as i carried her to the back of the tour bus.

"your ass always wants to cuddle." she teased.

"okay... and?" i raised a brow as i placed her on the bed.

"nothing," she waved it off. "i just wanna hear you admire you love my cuddles."

"i do." i confirmed as i got into the bed as well. i wrapped my arms around her again, and i pulled her down to lay with me. "and what about it?"

"nothing," i watched her smile before i tucked my head under her's. "i like your cuddles too."
