I lift my head up of the counter "it can't be that bad" I mumbled watching her pack her stuff away for her lil baecation with Akeem this weekend and they going to Vegas so what happened in Vegas stays in muthafucking Vegas!

"Girl! it is!! this is how me and Akeem started dating cause we were chopping wid each otha on the phone, phone sex and ALL!" she yelled as she twerked in the camera throwing her t-shirt in circles in the air.

"What?!" She gasped from behind the camera not being able to see her face since I'm staring at his message in the notification bar.

"He just messaged me" I responded clicking on the message.

"Tell him we just friends I don't wanna lead him on or anything" I replied going back onto the FaceTime she nodded her head and put the last bits of her packing in her suitcase.

"Anyways girl I'm about to go" I announce picking up my phone heading upstairs to do something with my day.

"Alright bae speak to you soon" she replies ending the call with kisses on the camera I threw my phone on my bed to hear another ping.

After sending him my address I put my phone down and looked for an outfit and allat so I don't have to do any of that later and I can take a nap before we go.

Pulling out a grey sweatpants with a lil grey cute sleeveless body suit folding them up on my vanity chair I got a message from Niyah talking about we should all hang out before her and Akeem leave tomorrow.

But they lucky cause tomorrow is sum teachers training all day so we- well they ain't got school tomorrow. Texting back a quick okay I got up to go quickly stop by the grocery store since everything in here is dry tuh bloodclartt.

Slipping my feet through my crocs I left to go down stairs and make a quick list for some groceries.
Opening the notes app on my phone I own the cabinets to see bread and some cookies.

I typed in snacks and left it as that since that's all we need in the cabinets, then moved to the refrigerator to see only milk and Kool-Aid in a jug, this is why none of us eat in this damn house and only order fast food.

Matter of fact Bri smart ass talking about some there's "McDonald's at home" McDonald's at home my fucking ass.

I typed down some items like eggs, water, veg and allat then left the house with everything in hand.

Pulling up to Walmart the parking lot had seem pretty empty for a Thursday afternoon I got all my things and left the car, locking it I walked up to the carts to see one of them free grabbing it I walked into the store.

I first picked out all essential items that is needed for the house and then moved onto the stuff that I want moving around the candle aisle I heard familiar voices from the next aisle.

Ignoring it I picked up my usual vanilla and coconut scented candle, I picked up two of them then moved on to the next as I pushed the cart down I had seen Monique, Kai, Henderson and an older lady standing with them.

Pushing the cart as fast as I could I heard a little from Kai standing right in front of me with an action figure in his left hand "Amori?"

Smiling I softly replied "hi Kai" I moved next to him and put his hand on the cart and walked to find his family.

"Kai you need to stop running and leaving your family because the next person you run into might not be so nice" he nodded his head and I stopped the cart and bent down to his height.

Taking his hands into my own "promise me that you won't run off again" I rubbed my thumb along the back of his hand.

"I promise".

"Okay good now give me a hug" I opened my arms and he walked into them wrapping his arms around my neck, rubbing his back I opened my eyes to see Henderson, Monique and the lady watching us.

"Your family is here" I whispered and he moved from out my arms and I stood up as he walked towards the lady.

"Thank you sweetheart" the lady said as she moved closer to me.

"You're welcome" I smiled and pushed my cart closer to me.

"I'm these idiots mama and you must be the infamous Amori?"

I looked over at Monique and she shrugged her shoulders then gave me a cheeky smile "yes ma'am".

"Oh please call me Freya" nodding my head I looked at the time at my apple watch reading 2:27PM.

"Well I've got to go I've got a date soon" I saw Henderson's jaw doing that fucking ticking thing and Moni's eyes widening, smiling at Freya I said goodbye to Kai and waved to Moni and she waved back.

By time I got home I was absolutely tired so I forgot that Niyah and 'em wanted to hang out but fuck that shit I was too tired for allat so I put the groceries away and fell asleep on the sofa and here we are.

The time way past 7PM and a thousands miss calls and texts from Aiden, feeling my phone vibrate I answered.

"Hello?" I greeted.

"Don't tell me your fat ass fell asleep Amori" Aiden scoffed the revving of his engine the only thing covering up the silence.

"Yeah I did but it's only 8:30PM we can still make it there for 10PM when the fair actually opens up" I rolled my eyes and put the phone on speaker so I could clean up a lil bit.

Kissing his teeth he mumbled "I wanted to hang out" and his car came to a stop.

"We can still hang out, come to my house I'll be getting ready" he mumbled an "ight" and instantly ended the call with that I went upstairs to quickly freshen up before he came so I had to do is fix my makeup and hair.

Pulling the pants up on my waist, I tied a knot so it wouldn't fall down then heard some loud ass knock on my door downstairs.

Checking the peep hole I seen Aiden and his stupid ass "nigga is you the fucking cops?" I questioned as I let him inside.

"I might be" he shrugged.

Walking past him to finish up upstairs I sat down at my vanity table to see him walking in and sit on my bed, rolling my eyes I took my bonnet off and began brushing through my wig.

Taking the head wrap off the lace I'd seen it had melted so I began to do my edges whilst my hot comb and straighteners heated.

"How long you finna take?" He asked as he looked at my room.

"Like ten-fifteen minutes Ion know" I shrugged brushing the comb through my head.

"Well hurry up".

"Nigga don't fucking rush me" I rolled my eyes and continued doing what I was doing.
