Y/n's POV

"L/n, can you please come here?" My teacher says with a raised brow.

I was caught off guard of course, standing up from my seat I walked to the front and to my teacher's desk, "Yes miss?"

"About the assignment you forgot to pass yesterday... How am I supposed to say this?" She says almost hesitating before clearing her throat, "That assignment was really important, please don't be surprised if your grade in my subject will be lower than you usually have, okay?"

She says, I was stunned. Lower than I usually have? What does that mean? Did that assignment really was important to decrease my grades lower than usual? I was sure that it can be covered up if I will catch up with the assignments again.

"But miss—

—Yes I know, 'I can just catch up with some assignments' is what you are gonna say." She says before adjusting her glasses, "But the thing is, I already said before I told all of you about that assignment that it can cover up 2% of your grades since it was very important."

I didn't know what to say really, yes the assignment was hard and it was normal for a assignment that covered up 2% of our grade. What am I gonna do now? Surely having my grades lower than usual wouldn't get my mom to care right?

My teacher dismisses me and I get back to my chair sulking a little, but I think of this situation as a lesson for me to be more careful. I see Tetsuro stealing a glance from me and he immediately looks away when I catch his eyes.

And if you think that this is all Tetsuro's fault then you are mistaken, none of this was his fault. It was an accident, If I hadn't had my assignment out on the open like that It wouldn't get splashed right?

Time skip

I watch as the teacher dismisses us and the first person out was Tetsuro himself, I didn't get the chance to call put for his name so I just quickly cleaned up my things and was about to go out the door and talk to Tetsuro when, "L/n-chan!" Haruka yells my name.

I stopped and I turned around seeing her run up to me.

"I think you should let Tsuro be." She says with a frowned look, I mirrored her expression.

"Why?" I asked.

Not really sure if I should follow her or not.

"I don't know, but just st—

—Leave me alone." I said before turning around and started my walk to the gym which I assumed Tetsuro was at because it was usually his practice.

I didn't mean to be mean to Haruka back there but I just don't understand why she would ask me to just let him be, he was clearly needing help. Why would she even want me to stay away? I just wanted to talk to him.

With my stubborn head I walked to the entrance of the gym and I stopped right in front of it, getting hesitant all of a sudden.

The sound of volleyballs hitting the surface can be heard from outside and the yelling of the team can also be heard.

I slowly but surely opened the door, not knowing that it was the perfect timing that Tetsuro spiked the ball but it turned out to get a little out of control so it somehow turned to me and hit me straight in my head making me fall back on my butt.

Gasps can be heard from the gym, my forehead was burning from the sensation and a cold liquid was felt running down my nose but I didn't pay much attention.

"Y/n? Goddamnit are you okay?" Tetsuro's voice suddenly snaps me out of my trance and I opened my eyes. Seeing him crouching down in front of me with a worried look.

This wasn't my plan at all, I didn't want to make him worry about me.

"I'm fine Tsuro, it's just a volleyball." I said with a smile before looking brightly at him, ignoring the burning situation that I was sure can bring tears into my eyes in a second.

"You're bleeding."

That's the last word before Tetsuro practically dragged me to the clinic and made me rest there til he finished practice.

I was bored, not really knowing what to do instead of just read some of the notes I recently wrote on my notebook.

Time skip

Soon the door of the clinic opened and I looked up brightly assuming it was Tetsuro and it was, but with Haruka. It didn't bother me so I just focused on Tetsuro instead.

"Are we going to go home?" I asked before standing up.

Tetsuro sighs before rubbing his temples.

"No, you are going to go home." My smile immediately drops as I frowned at Tetsuro's way.

"What do you mean?" I asked a bit confused and unsure at the same time.

"I still have practice Y/n." He says, still not looking at me but I can see right through his eyes that he was tired.

Haruka was behind him avoiding eye contact with me as well as she plays with her fingers whilst looking down.

"But I can wait! I want to visit your grandmother too so—

—You're not going to do that." Tetsuro sharply says as he looks at me with a serious look that he gave me back when we were stll immature enemies.

"But, Tetsuro I want to help you." I said, my voice getting smaller.

"I don't want it, Y/n." He says so harshly making me quiet all of a sudden, a sting was felt through out the area around my chest as I frown even more.

"W... What do you want me to do?" I asked, I was surprised he even heard it because my tone was very low and fragile.

I see his face change, it was as if he was done. So done with ho I was acting.

"I don't know Y/n, maybe sream at me, get angry, stop acting so nice even though I literally did every single bad thing to you." He says, I can tell my his voice that he was trying hard to not scream as he took slow steps towards me whilst remaining eye contact.

I was stunned, I didn't understand this, this wasn't supposed to turn out this way.

"It was no big d—

—Yes it was! Stop leading me on, L/n." There he used my last name which made me clench my fist by my side.

"Is this how you treat someone who's trying to help you?" With a sharp breath I replied to him, I swore my heart was too numb to feel anything.

I was angry, I was confused too, should I get angry at me, or him?

"You should just stop because you know nothing." He says, his voice was calm but it still pierced right through me nevertheless.

"I want to help you, Tsuro." I pleaded with a pathetic voice.

"Then stop." He says before sighing and now he turned his back to me.

I was stunned, frozen in my spot as he stops in front of Haruka and he turns to her, "Can you wait for me til practice?"

Haruka then nods and they both get out together, leaving me dumbfounded and speechless, the sting on my heart was present and it was sure still fresh, I watched as my hands started to shake.

I slowly sat down on the clinic bed before looking down to my hands that were on my lap, what did I do wrong? Was it too much? What does he mean when he said I wad trying to lead him on? I wasn't! It was an act of payment.

Did he want me to get angry at him? I was confused and angry at the same time, but I couldn't do anything else than deal with the angry and pain feeling on my heart as I walked my self back home, alone.
